Overpriced buckets that do the trick. Bartender was an angel. Classic spot here on the Asbury park boardwalk for rum buckets and margarita buckets. i'm loving it !!

Drinks? Good! Beach?? Goooooood! Drinks ON THE beach? The best it could get. The Beach Bar is all open air, basically a pier on the very end of the boardwalk with a few different bars, a DJ sometimes, some tables and relaxed but good vibes. Me and some friends stopped by here while walking home from brunch and wanted to soak in a little more of the beautiful weather. I wasn't really feeling a strong drink so we all got pina coladas and daiquiris. FUN, I know. The bartenders were super nice when I inquired about any sort of mocktails because I wasn't too sure I wanted a drink. But when I saw pina colada on the menu I knew it was the drink for me. It barely tasted like it had alcohol in it which was pretty perfect for me (maybe not the rest of the friends who needed to get an extra shot of rum added). Go for the beach side drinks because there is nothing better.

We found this bar at the most perfect time because it was a bit drizzly. They had a DJ that played all the pop classics. The drinks were okay and water was free if you ask for it in a cup (not bottled). We had a fun afternoon dancing (everyone was dancing) which was great. There's a bathroom next to the bar but the line is long so make sure you plan ahead of time!

PROS: very nice beach bar that many people gravitate towards. The staff is nice and rush your orders, menu variety is plentiful, and very nice beach views. Place is large which can hold a lot of people CONS: their prices are staggering compared to other places on the boardwalk OVERALL: as long as you have the funds, I recommend coming here

If you visit Asbury park beach, then you can't miss visiting this cute beach bar that is very lively. The bar is gay owned, proudly displaying a gay flag swaying with the wind. The drinks are good too but I stuck with Angry Orchard's Cider Rose, this was my favorite summer drink. The music was loudly playing awesome tunes, the beach goers were super happy and dancing enjoying the wonderful summer day. The semi-outdoor lounge has wicker seating and tall bar stools with tables and along side the ledge of the space more stools with ledges to look out at the beach waves while sipping on a cold one and bopping to the beats. This bar is always popping and it is a fun vibe if you're into that type of scene.

Nice to be able to sit next to the beach & have a beverage and not be on the sand for a bit. The drink itself wasn't very good though. Bartender was really friendly! Probably wouldn't do it again.

I never knew this place existed, until my friend brought me here for drinks before lounging around on the beach. The entire area is outdoors, and is on the edge of the beach, so you can people watch if you like. Service was quick, and they always ask you if you want to make it a double, which can lead to drinking a little more alcohol than you mean to. But seems like a good, basic place to get drinks if you're planning on spending the day at the Asbury boardwalk.

The Beach Bar is so loud that you can't even hear yourself think. That, or I might just be too old. Came here with my boyfriend and another couple after a day of baking on the beach. We went for one of their rum buckets. Although they put a bunch of different rums in there, it still doesn't taste that strong - probably because it's 1/2 filled with ice. If you're looking to have a nice drink to cool down after a day at the beach, this isn't it.

Never a cover, Great view of the beach/ocean (because you are right on top of it ), Always a drink special, and one of our favorite summer hangouts. Seriously we can't wait to get here after a day on the beach. Come in and grab a couch, bed, or chair on the south side of Convention Hall. You have a great view of the beach, enjoy a nice breeze and good service. If it's firework night (Wednesdays throughout the summer) then get here early because this is the best spot to see them from. Yes it gets crowded and people stay for a long time. Be warned that food is limited here. There are some great apps ( sweet potato fries ) but that's it. I believe the waiter told me that they get the food delivered from Watermark but no confirmation on that. 5 stars for $3 drink specials, no cover, great view, cozy atmosphere and good service! whenever we go, we never want to leave it's so relaxing!

It was during COVID that I visited the beach bar for my first time it was overall a good experience I came and got two buckets of rum and sit on their outside section enjoying the sun while enjoying my drink when this next summer come around plan to revisit and try more of the menu

What a fun place, there was a DJ who played all kinds of great music ... 80's dance , freestyle etc... the view of the ocean is amazing and no complaints about the drinks :)

I love this bar! It's so great and Cliff is so much fun to talk to! If you want a good time come here I hope you consider it while you're at Asbury Park!

The Matcha Matcha Man was smooth, creamy, and dangerously easy to drink -- the matcha coconut cream with the ginger beer gave it such a unique refreshing kick. The Lady Marmalade tasted like sunshine in a glass with the perfect citrusy balance and just enough sweetness from the marmalade. The food menu is definitely more small plates/appetizer style, but honestly everything tasted super fresh and packed with flavor. The coconut shrimp were jumbo and crispy with the perfect sweetness, the mango habanero chicken bites super fresh, and the wagyu sliders disappeared embarrassingly fast. The real star though? The outdoor lounge setup overlooking the ocean. It's the kind of place where you go for "one drink" and suddenly it's three hours later and you're debating ordering another round just to stay for sunset. It's walk in only but wasn't too packed ...we went around 5pm but seems to have a packed late night vibe and crowd as well during summer !

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience at AP Rooftop was disappointing enough to…read moremotivate me. The rooftop itself is beautiful. The views are fantastic, the atmosphere is great, and we were genuinely excited to spend the evening there. I arrived with two friends and my service dog. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. We waited quite a while just to place our food order, and after ordering, we waited approximately an hour for our food to arrive. During that time, my dog had not even been offered water. If you don't want animals in your establishment we were more than happy to move on. We later learned there was a shift change taking place, which may explain some of the delays, but it certainly did not improve the experience. We also ordered an Aperol Spritz that was being advertised downstairs. It arrived noticeably flat, but we chose not to complain because we were trying to enjoy the evening. To provide some context, our table ordered ceviche, sliders, and two pizzas. This was not a particularly large or complicated order, yet we still waited approximately an hour for the food to arrive. When it finally did, some of it was served less than hot. Despite the delays and quality issues, we remained patient and polite, we wanted to enjoy the evening and the beautiful setting and we were hungry after a ling day at the beach. The most frustrating part happened after we had already been seated for over an hour and our food had finally arrived. A manager approached to confirm that my dog was a service animal because he had been instructed to do so. We answered his questions and explained that we would be leaving soon anyway. A few minutes later, General Manager Connor Anderson came to our table and insisted that my dog either be placed on the floor immediately or that we move outside. What made the situation so unreasonable was the timing. We had already been seated for over an hour, our drinks had been served, our order had been taken, and our food had finally arrived. I had literally just taken my first bite of pizza when this issue was suddenly raised. Had management addressed this concern when we were first seated, I would have respected their position and made a decision then. Instead, they waited until after we had spent over an hour at the restaurant and had finally begun eating before forcing the issue. My friends and I were actually considering moving outside, but the manner in which the conversation was handled felt unnecessarily confrontational and hostile. Rather than continue an uncomfortable interaction, we asked for our food to be packed to go and left. To their credit, the staff ultimately removed the flat Aperol Spritz from our bill and also removed a beer that we never had the opportunity to drink because the situation had already escalated and we were leaving. While I appreciate that gesture, it did not make up for the overall experience or the way the situation was handled. Several employees appeared visibly uncomfortable during the interaction and seemed frustrated by the way the situation was being handled. While the service staff had been polite throughout the evening, the management approach completely changed the tone of the experience. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, it felt as though customer experience, common sense, and the efforts of the staff were being disregarded. We left feeling that the situation had been unnecessarily escalated when a calm conversation could have easily resolved it. AP Rooftop has an incredible location and beautiful views, but hospitality is about more than scenery. What should have been an enjoyable evening ended with us feeling unwelcome and rushed out after already investing significant time and money into the experience. The view earns five stars. Unfortunately, the service, timing, and management of this situation did not.
