She was extremely knowledgeable and detail oriented, but also kind and flexible, giving advice and direction when needed, and deferring to our vision for everything else. From the very first meeting, we were made to feel at home from everyone at ACC. From the start, Peggy stressed that her goal was to make our dream a reality. To that end, at no point were we given a list of standard "packages", instead always being asked open ended questions about what we wanted. This could be seen in the dinner selection, where instead of a pre-selected list of dishes, we were asked by the chef what kind of flavor profiles we were looking for, and then given a large variety of options that fit our preferences. In the end, the dinner we chose was phenomenal. The club itself is absolutely beautiful. The drive up is on a charming tree lined road, and guests are greeted with a welcomingly large and warm foyer as they walk in, complete with a large fireplace. Our cocktail hour was in a separate room from the main dinner, yet there was plenty of space available to mingle and move around before dinner began. Behind the scenes, the men's and women's locker rooms provided great privacy and security for the wedding party to change and freshen up. The main dining room is lined with windows giving a beautiful vista of the golf course and landscape outside. The wait staff was extremely attentive and prompt, following our schedule perfectly. This attentiveness didn't end after dinner was finished; as the night was coming to a close, Peggy noticed the guest count was still pretty high (a testament to our DJ, but that's a different review). Because of this, without prompting, she had the kitchen prepare more late night snack bags so that no one would go home empty handed. We are beyond happy with our experience at the Aurora Country Club, and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a customized selection of food and appetizers, an accommodating staff, and an elegant space. I have read bad reviews about this place and I should have listened to them. I advise any couple considering this venue to choose another place. It is not worth the hassle and incompetence of dealing with McKenna, who is clearly very young and new at this, and does not know how to properly manage a wedding. She is inadequate at handling weddings and poor at communicating with clients. Do not waste your time here.

The wedding vows were held outside and it was about 90 degrees in full sun, very hot, and some residual from the wildfires in Canada. We were all looking forward to getting inside to the AC but unfortunately it was very hot inside the bar area. The dining area was also very warm and uncomfortable, to the point where people were using fans to cool themselves off and not many people were dancing. We left the wedding a little early around 10PM because it was getting too warm. Also, for dinner I had the beef and stuffed chicken. The chicken was tender and good but the beef was overcooked. Most of our tables beef was overcooked, tough, and dry.

The grounds were beautiful and it was the most perfect weather! Being from Wheaton, I had no idea this gem was right around the corner! Shower went great and the staff was attentive. Only complaint was it seemed by the time the middle crowd got up to get brunch, pickings were slim and food had been picked through or cleared out! By the time they had replaced the empty bins, the "shower" portion was beginning and I think guests felt like they shouldn't go up and get seconds or in some case firsts! The grounds were absolutely beautiful and the mimosas were top notch!
