They definitely aren't all as good as this one. It's a tad outdated, and it still has rooms with doors to the outside, which I hate. And they stink because people smoke right outside them. But the other rooms are all fine. Especially the king suite! Those are very nice. The best part about this location is the full hot breakfast and the cookies they put out! Bacon, ham, sausage, eggs, biscuits & gravy, waffles! It's really nice. Staff have always been super nice to me too. I'll stay here many more times to come.

The lady on the phone talked to me while I was meandering around the area in my truck on a dark road. Thank goodness!! She was so accommodating! For example: the number of nights I wanted to stay. Minimum is two nights. I was allowed to stay one. After I was assigned to one cabin, she allowed me to stay in a different cabin. Pulling up to park at my assigned cabin my headlights showed 3 deer!! Another times, I saw them from the balcony, several more deer. In fact, they seemed within an arm's reach. The balcony was clean with a covered table, hot tub and a means to charcoal meats. The grill utensils hung along the guard rails. Once inside, it appeared very clean. Every possible amenity was available (except robes or q-tips). Fireplace, cut wood, lighter, microwave, fold out couch, mini fridge, window unit, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, table and 2 chairs, tv, wifi, ceiling fan, towels (request extra if using the hot tub), shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Of course, a large cozy bed! The hot tub is small. My best guess would be that they can accommodate 4 small bodies max. Great jets and very hot water! The showers are so clean and sparkly! The shampoo, conditioner and body soap hang on the wall. All have a very mild scent. It was a perfect get away for me.

We went right at dusk, but I think if it had been truly dark, we could have seen the resort from miles away. ALL. THE. LIGHTS. (And, other decorations.) We were surprised by the amount of holiday cheer that was put up. Lots of inflatables (some quite unique). If you're in the area, I would certainly check it out. Advertisement said rooms had hot tubs but neither room had USABLE hot tubs. One hot tub was empty and came with a frog. The second hot tub had water dripping from the top deck and lukewarm water. The room carpet was old and smelled horrible. Upon check out, I was asked to strip the beds, gather up all trash and towels, and wash the dishes. Is this a hotel or an Airbnb? It is the nicest motel I have stayed at in a long time. It is very, very clean, has electronic locks on each door, not like the HAMPTON inn type... these are keypads that you would find at a VRBO or somewhere. Every room has a microwave and a refrigerator. I prefer showers but for people who take baths the bathtub is much bigger than the standard size. I have a King room on the first floor. It has a large tv, the comforter on the bed is similar to that at a Hampton Inn... the mattress is very comfortable. I could honestly stay a week here. The carpet looks brand new and a pad must be really good because it feels like you're walking on a cushion.

There are so many families with kids, they made fast friends and had games of tetherball, swinging on the swings and jumping on the water platform. We were able to rent a boat, wave runners and enjoyed how easy it was all right in front of us. When we were done playing in the lake we were able to jump in the saltwater pool and jacuzzi.
