Ended up getting coffee here on a nice girls weekend in November. The shop is nice and quaint. It certainly gives off small business which I absolutely loved. A friend had commented on the scones being fantastic so I think each of us ended up getting one. I opted for a pumpkin scone and it was fantastic. I love this little coffe shop in in the Brainerd Lakes area! I have a summer place near here, and always make it a point to stop in for their ground coffee before reaching my final destination. The staff has always been amazing and friendly, and will always help pick out the right kind of coffee you're looking for and ground it as you need for your drip coffee. They're also incredible at making a great drink right there in the shop for all. This last visit, I bought their Minnesota Wild roast and asked them to make up a "really good hot coffee drink". The staff made up a hazelnut flavored mocha that tasted fantastic! If you're in the area and need a good caffeinated fix, this is the place to stop. And if you need your own roasted beans for a pot at home, they've got a whole variety of light, medium, and dark roasts to fill your heart's desire. This place was very fast and very cute. I had a post-brunch nitro cold brew with marshmallow flavor at the recommendation of the barista and it was, as he said, heavenly! Perfect for strolling around the local shoppes before heading back to the lake. Very reasonably priced. Small store with large outdoor seating options. Very helpful staff. There is a trail nearby as well as communal camp style bathrooms. read more

This is a great place to get coffee and a treat while shopping the Nisswa streets. I ordered a hot caramel latte - it had the perfect amount of syrup, oftentimes I have to ask for half syrup but forgot this time and it was great. I didn't get any of their baked goods, but they all looked great. Service was friendly and quick despite it being pretty busy on a weekend morning. We took our coffees to go. The service here is terrible. The girl at the cash register was incredibly rude and made us feel like an inconvenience when we tried to order. We asked her questions about the coffee and what her recommendations would be and she acted as if we were talking to her on her day off. I grew up in this area and may be biased but I still stock up on coffee or kcups when visiting to take back to Minneapolis. The Mayan mocha is my favorite "sweet" drink. Stonehouse coffee used to be the best in town. Sadly after my experience there this past week I will not be going back. I had the worst cup of plain coffee I have ever had. The coffee dispenser was broken and twice I asked the staff to replace or get a new pot and each time they told oh yeah that happens they don't work. The coffee that I was able to get was burnt and full of grounds. There were no coffee cup lids to be found anywhere. Came here this afternoon, looking forward to a good cup of coffee. I ordered a large regular coffee with half and half. The girl poured and asked me "how much half and half I wanted"? I don't like my coffee too dark so when I said "that was good" (less than a quarter of the way up with half and half). Another woman, maybe the owner said "that's a lot of half and half, I have to charge you extra"! What??? Do you give discounts if you order your coffee black? I never heard anything so ridiculous!! I live in Phoenix but this is one of my first stops every summer when I come to visit family on Gull Lake. The coffee is perfect and I have never had more delicious scones. Lots of fresh fruit and so moist and tasty. I took 10 to go for the family. Two each of five flavors. They did not last long! The Staff is so friendly.
