Our installer Michael also was very friendly, he was on time, and he did a beautiful job of installing our blinds, asking how we wanted the controls to work, then explaining how to use our remotes and phones to control the blinds. The Hunter Douglas products are well made and they offer some attractive fabrics and just about any option you would wish for with excellent app design for controlling the blinds. We felt the price was very reasonable after comparing to Costco's quote for less-appealing fabrics in Graber blinds. I would definitely do business with Window Vango if we replace more blinds in the future.

Please please please let this review stop you from making the outrageously expensive mistake I have…read moremade in choosing to work with this company. Quotes: I got three quotes. Rocky Mountain was the most expensive by 33%. I went with them because they had more fabric options, and the product seemed to be of superior quality. Design Process: Required 4 home visits and 2 show room visits. What we clearly and explicitly agreed upon was not contracted (my bad) and when the wrong product got installed, the designer and manager gaslit me to believe that what we clearly and explicitly agreed to was not agreed upon. Installation: Took 6.5 weeks from signed contract. The installers were fine, but I heard them whispering in the bedroom and checked in - the shades were not the right size. They continued installing them (as they had already taken the previous privacy shades down) so that we would have privacy in our bedroom. I later received another call from the designer that, in fact, those shades would need to be sent back, recut, and rehung. We could have paper shades in the mean time. Their mistake will require an additional 2 trips into my home, countless hours interacting with the company, and they will not compensate me at all. Additionally, the roman shades we purchased for a theatre room were ungodly expensive - I went ahead because I loved the potential and assumed that I would get what I paid for. You would not believe how terrible these look - crooked, caddy-wompus in the corner, and letting in so much light you would think that was the goal. I would have better luck spending $200 at Target or $500 at Anthropologie.

If you choose to work with her, do not let her refer you to Hummingbird HRD (Crystal and Brian Mansanares), as that is where everything unraveled. Jaime first helped me after a Christmas morning plumbing disaster, and at the outset, she was fantastic--quick to respond, knowledgeable, and actively engaged in creating thoughtful layouts. Because things seemed to be going well, we also hired her for additional design work in our kitchen and living room. But when she referred us to Hummingbird as the general contractor, she stepped away entirely, leaving us in the hands of an inexperienced team that led to an overpriced, incomplete, and poorly executed renovation. Where Things Went Wrong Jaime and Crystal turned out to be personal friends rather than longtime collaborators, and our home was essentially a "guinea pig project"--a fact Jaime admitted only after things had gone terribly wrong. The staggering lack of professionalism from Hummingbird resulted in months of stress, wasted money, and a home that remains unfinished to this day. After Crystal declared the project "done" (despite glaringly poor workmanship), I asked Jaime to see the state of things herself. She agreed with me that the quality was unacceptable and even apologized for how badly things had turned out. She admitted that Crystal lacked the necessary experience and recognized that we had been unintentionally used as a test project. To make matters worse, she also told me, "Wow, I didn't realize you were so detail-oriented--I would feel exactly the same." As if they thought they could get away with subpar work and I wouldn't notice--truly insulting. Jaime's Final Disappointing Choice To her credit, Jaime convinced Crystal and Brian to attempt to fix their mess, but she ultimately abandoned the project. Despite personally acknowledging all the flaws, she later sent me a completely contradictory statement: "I have every faith in Hummingbird completing the project as promised, and overall, I believe they have done an exceptional job." This project was supposed to take 4-6 weeks starting in March--it was still dragging on in November, at which point I cut ties entirely because it was no longer worth the emotional toll. To this day, our home remains unfinished and cheap-looking, a painful reminder of the stress and financial loss we endured. What We Actually Got for Jaime's Fees After paying her design fees for both the bathroom and kitchen/living room, all we truly received was: * Layout options * A recommendation for Hummingbird (which proved disastrous) * Help selecting a kitchen table and rug Had we gone with a different general contractor, I might be writing a glowing five-star review. Unfortunately, given how this played out, I cannot recommend Jaime Langer at all.

Hello everyone. I've been in the middle of a complete home renovation for a while now and adding all new window coverings finally got to the top of the master list. I'm a late-50's guy and know nothing about blinds other than what's offered at Home Depot. I typed in 'blinds-denver' and there was Stoneside. I cruised their website for a while and finally decided to give them a call just a few days before Christmas 2013. The operator scheduled my appointment for the day after Christmas. The day of the appointment, the Salesgal came by on time and was prepared with all the samples I'd need. I had kinda decided on the 'transitionals' and as soon as I saw them, the deal was on. Donve' (the Salesgal) was just great. Her suggestions were spot on with both the look I was after and the color. All the blinds would be custom made right here in Denver and the installation would be in a few weeks. She measured each window and we chatted about some of the other design ideas I have for the house. She made a suggestion in the dining room to a design idea that I had not considered or even thought of. Spot on. It's now done and I cannot tell you how this has suddenly changed the vibe and captured the exact look I had hoped for. The 'transitionals' accent all of the art in all the rooms. I'm beside myself and all my daughters are jealous. The next day I got a call from Brian, the installer. He wanted to come out to the house and measure each window one more time. Again, I appreciate their desire to do this right the first time and invited him over. He arrived on time and got right to it. So far so good. The blinds arrived on time a few weeks later. Brian had called and set up the appointment for the install. Again, right on time and right to work. One week to go before the Super Bowl and I followed him around while he did his thing and we chatted Broncos. Very nice and very personable. A very professional installation. The blinds are incredible. The insides of the house are painted in a medium clay color and all the accents are bronze. The blinds are a dark chocolate brown. Wow. Everyone that's come by the house has been wowed. BTW, these blinds retract all the way up into the bronze colored thingy at the top and it's as if there are no blinds at all. I'll have the windows wide open this summer overlooking the deck and yard. Now these blinds aren't cheap but for what I now have, I would have gladly paid more. I am a very happy customer. I'd attach pics but don't know exactly how to do that so trust me...nice folks, great product, and a great experience. I'll not hesitate to recommend them to anyone anytime. read more

Our Transition Shades are fabulous. Donve is our designer and Chris installed the blinds. The whole process took a only few weeks, start to finish, and the result is fabulous. This is from first meeting through custom manufacture to installation. From the beginning Donve was wonderful to work with and Chris was very friendly, quick and neat with the installations. Donve is amazingly skilled not only in her craft as a designer, but also at understanding what we wanted to accomplish with the blinds. Sounds easy, but we are starting a 1960's house remodel out of normal order because some things need to be completed now, and others must wait. This has actually been a blessing as Donve gave us a number of great recommendations for the remodel just in the course of getting to know us and how we use our living space. As a result we are updating our plans and will have much better clarity when we go to bid the big stuff (kitchen, living area) making the final result more likely to really satisfy us. Donve is so passionate about her work and satisfying her customers that she couldn't help pointing out additional ideas, and helping me step outside the design boxes I'd climbed into which were limiting my view of possible solutions to various issue. Wonderful. Chris, our installer was equally passionate about installing the shades correctly and with the minimum of disruption. He has years and years of experience in the housing trades, many of them in "fenestration" (windows). He also made suggestions about installation and final details which improved the shade design for our use. On his first visit he spent time walking though how we would use the shades in detail, from a trades-person's perspective. His observations and ideas added significantly to the final result. And as a plus Chris is easy to work with and listened to us as we explained our intended results. Chris is a really nice guy and a pleasure to work with. This is what Stoneside does: not only the initial design work, but collaboration with the trades so the final result is visually striking and works as planned. Our shades are beautiful - and the road getting this project done would not have been a success without the people at Stoneside! Our home came with a variety of challenges - steel beams, 20 foot double height windows, tight corners, electrical considerations, particulars and preferences. Our investment/trading firm is located in Cherry Creek and has exceptional floor to ceiling windows overlooking the mountains. The sun brutally shines into our offices at certain times of the day. Stoneside Blinds and Donve designed and proposed stunning shade solutions within a week. Moreover, they handled the entire installation and made certain it was perfect. This was two years ago. The shade solution is absolutely outstanding, beautiful and functional. We are so pleased. BUT it gets better! Two weeks ago our building had a major electrical malfunction which affected all types of switches. One on our motorized shades did not go up and down. We called Stoneside and Donve and they responded immediately. A well versed installer came to our office and fixed the building's electrical switch affecting the shade motor and we were up and going. ALL WITHIN DAYS! Stoneside and Donve told us this was part of the warrantee and that there would be no charge! I have only the highest praise for Stoneside, Donve and the entire team! So I truly can not say enough about Stoneside - I am an older lady and on the few occasions that I ventured out to look at window coverings in a store setting I was either very overwhelmed or had no real help from the people that worked there which left me frustrated. When I started looking for other options and realized that Stoneside does in home consultations I was thrilled! Working with Michelle was wonderful; she really listened to my thoughts and educated me on the pros and cons of each type of product so that I finally felt confident enough to make a decision. We hired Stoneside Blinds to install our whole house of transitional blinds and we were very satisfied. From start to finish, it was a positive experience. Design guru, Donve and installation expert, Brian were exceptional to work with. They were both professional, responsive, personable and punctual. We did have a few blinds that were not perfect after the initial installation as they did not close all the way. However, Stoneside stood behind their product and Donve and Brian were attentive and quick in getting them fixed and making it right. We have three motorized blinds on a high window and while they looked great and operate o.k. We feel like there is room for improvement on the remote control design and technology though as it seems sensitive and finicky sometimes. Overall, it was a great experience and we are pleased we chose Stoneside to transform our new house full of windows from bare to exquisite. Submitting another review - because it's the least I can do for Donve! When she says "you are clients for life", she means it. My wife and I have been trying to furnish our new main level family/dining room - it's the focal point of our home because it's the first thing you see when you enter. It's been empty since we moved in on 3.30.17 and we finally went shopping last weekend. We were so overwhelmed with options, design considerations and of course - cost. We contacted Donve and we needed swift help - because the designer table we were looking at had a sale ending this week. She responded immediately and we spent an hour on the phone/facetime talking thru options. My favorite thing about Donve, other than her amazing/fun personality and VERY perceptive design knowledge - is she will always tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. She's not afraid to simply state "that's dreadful" - and then educate you on why she said that. LOVE IT! This is the first time I came across Stoneside. I found them with a Google search. They are great with communication. They always kept me in the loop with anything happening. The Designer Donve was super sweet and very knowledgeable. It was comforting. I had 2 other blind places come and quote us and i loved the personality and dynamic of the company of Stoneside that i went with them. The one and only down side to them was the price. it was a little more than what we wanted BUT... because of the amazing people and the communication skills and the professionalism we went with them and it was worth every penny! Sam the guy who came to do the final measure and the install was super friendly and CLEAN! (i hate when installers leave behind a mess) not this guy! he was great. I have nothing bad to say about my experience with Stoneside. Carrie was incredibly helpful and friendly when she came out to help me decide on what would work for me. She was also incredibly patient when I changed my mind a couple of times on what to use in my bedroom (I am VERY happy with the beautiful roller shade I finally decided on). I chose Stoneside because of how comfortable I felt with Carrie, and that they did not hire contractors for install. Matthew was my installer and I loved him! A self proclaimed "perfectionist" he made sure that everything was perfect, and it was. He had to come out twice because I had an issue with somebody that I hired to paint and he was still nothing but friendly and helpful. I had requested a change in how my verticals were installed and he immediately helped with no question. Chris M installed my blinds in Arvada, CO and was FLAWLESS. He has such a great heart, he went above and beyond and EVEN PUT UP TEMPORARY BLACK OUT SHADES for my master so I could sleep better until my blinds arrived. I couldn't be happier with my installment. As for the corporate part of it, they gave me a phone call to remind me of my install date and they were very polite. I guess the only hard part about these blinds upgrade was to ask myself what color to use. THE ONLY problem we had was we had the "head rep" Carrie K come to the house and do the estimates and whatnot and she measured my office. We had a great experience with this company. From the moment we called to make inquiries to the final installation they had excellent customer service!! Donve was a great design consultant and worked with us to get the look and price we wanted. She even made a second visit to our home when we came to her with additional questions. She was professional, fun, knowledgeable and gave us a very sincere feeling of wanting us to be happy with what we chose. Chris, the installation technician, was very punctual, professional, knowledgable, patient, and personable. Upon installation we discovered that two of our blinds were not the correct type. Chris, Donve and their office all followed up to ensure we would receive the product we wanted. They were efficient and quick to ensure the problem would be fixed and true to their word it was quickly resolved. I am a tough critic, but this is a company (especially Donve & Chris) that I would highly recommend (& will) to others! read more

We selected Stoneside because of their experience with transitional shades and they delivered superior products and service. Carrie Kaiser was an excellent design consultant and made the process fun. She spent a lot of time collaborating with us on our free consultation and suggested details that we had not thought of. Our installer, Chis Mackley, couldn't have been more professional. He impressed with his preciseness, cleanliness, and speed. Designer blinds come at a premium, but Stoneside products have added a polished look that no other townhouse around us has. Our order did take longer than expected to be delivered, but we were given updates during the order process and the quality was worth the wait. While their design selection was impressive, it did lack some non-traditional bright colors for transitional shades that I would have added to my order. read more

Stoneside did an amazing job installing shades and drapery for us. They were responsive and professional. Our designer, Quinn, was outstanding. She helped us through the entire process, always going above and beyond to get us the answers we needed. She assisted in the design choices and checked in periodically to make sure all of the work was being accomplished correctly. Our job was a large project done in two phases and she was accessible the entire time. She worked directly with our installer to make sure all went smoothly. Rusty installed everything quickly and efficiently. He was professional and creative in finding solutions to small challenges that came up. We are very happy with our blinds and drapery. Michelle was the first person we dealt with from Stoneside. She was well versed in her knowledge of the product as well as helping us make a decision. She listened to us and was able to send us to colors and textures that we loved. She knew design concepts and had great people skills. Sam was the person that did the final measurements and the installation. He was right on with his measurements, the blinds look amazing. When it was time to install, he did it quickly and well and showed us how they worked. Sam was fun and personable as well. Both people were respectful of us and our home; they took their shoes off when coming in, wore masks the entire time. Our blinds were delayed because they had to be back ordered but Stoneside kept us informed so we didn't wonder what was going on. I loved working with them. read more

The team at Stoneside was responsive, focused on customer service and ensured that we understood all of our options as we selected window treatments for our townhome. Paul, our design consultant, took his time and ensured that we understood the pros and cons of various shade types. We had many questions as we wanted to match our shade color selections with new interior paint. We were contacted promptly after the shades were ready to schedule the installation, the installer showed up as scheduled and did a great job - even with some of our unique requirements in terms of window placement and shape. I am so impressed with Donve and Chris, and the whole Stoneside team. Even when things didn't go smoothly (my cell died, we missed measuring a window somehow, etc.) they handled it with perfect professionalism. They knew email was best, and would email me if they couldn't reach me. They really care about the work they do. Chris even took the time to play with my dogs when he measured, so they'd like him when he came to finish the install. I cannot recommend this company enough! Oh, and my blinds look AWESOME! Donve recommended doing some different sliding door coverings due to the dogs and little ones, and--although I haven't had to clean them yet--I have complete faith that I will have all of the blinds and coverings for many many years to come! read more

We were immediately impressed with Stoneside following our first intro phone call. Everyone we spoke to and worked with was extremely professional, friendly and works with you on understanding your design preferences and practical needs while not trying to push the most expensive treatments just because of cost. Specifically we worked with Ivy Savignon who spent hours with us going through options and designs to land on treatments that were perfectly right for us. Sam Kaiser was an expert in installation, cared for the smallest details (fixed a very slight measurement error that we would have never noticed) and was very friendly and pleasant to work with. I worked with Carrie Kaiser and could not have been happier with my Stoneside experience, start to finish. I had a rough idea of what I wanted in regards to fabric/ finish, and Carrie was able to bring that to life. For the design consult, Carrie came equipped with a ton of great fabric options and a really sharp eye for design; her guidance left me feeling confident in the selections I made. The window treatments were installed yesterday, and I couldn't be happier. Also, special shout out to Tom who measured for and installed not only the permanent window treatments, but the temporary ones as well. Stoneside Blinds provided us with excellent customer service. Dana, our design consultant, is extremely knowledgeable and suggested several options to us. She was very patient and kind as we made our decisions and she is also fun to talk to. She contacted us a few months after installation to ensure we were happy with our purchase. Tom, our installer, is an expert at installing as well as ensuring that the product is working perfectly. He ordered a replacement cord as he wasn't satisfied with one that came with one of the blinds and returned quickly to replace the cord. Both Dana and Tom visited our home twice to make sure we were choosing blinds that we would be satisfied with and that all was working well. read more
