Nestled behind the insurance agency, along the side of the death monument store and in front of the supermarket is Stoney's. What an experience... We pull up and a baby is fully naked on the one picnic table on their grassy knoll facing the Burger King next door and their dumpster. THE SMELL OF PIZZA IS AMAZING HERE! We enter the facility (which is really small) and there are no tables available in their regular building or their enclosed in outdoor area. Luckily it was a 72 degree fall day and we had a blanket for our little guy who opted to snooze through most of our Stoney's visit so we sat 'outside.' This is a covered area but it wasn't enclosed. Sitting outside allowed for us to get a great view of that dumpster and watch people walk though picking out their deceased loved one's headstone! Also, not one single person who came through the door while we were there were driving anything under a new, name brand vehicle. We started to think what happens in Middleborough?! Nothing on tap! We went with the Trish (one half minus the onions) and a bacon and salami pizza. Laced and well done. My issue with Stoney's: where is the pizza sauce? the salami and bacon pizza was super dry. The Trish was a little better. And I am not looking for an excessive amount of sauce, but whats a pizza without red sauce? read more

We've been quoted wait times on phone orders to upwards of 50 minutes, which feels like a long time, and makes me wonder what their kitchen setup looks like. Can they only make a few pies at a time? Are they so busy that there are 30 minutes of pizza orders ahead of ours? No idea. What's good is that all of our quoted times have been accurate, no extra waiting. Everyone is so laid back and friendly when you go in to pick up the pies, and those who patronize the seats seem so jolly. Pies are consistently good: New England bar style, small, greasy, crunchy crust. Leftovers aren't a thing for us. read more

Closed for good.... I went there, not too long ago and they were closed. It's to bad because I'd love their pizzas and I really wanted one that day too. Come to find out the owner has passed away so they decided to close for good Is what I was told. read more

Hit up this local New England pizza joint this afternoon to chill with the locals and enjoy some alcoholic beverages, pizza and share story's of Paul Reveres ride or Tom Bradley's greatest Super Bowl moments. Most of the patrons looked like curmudgeon disciples of the Commonwealth Royalty Bill Belichick but who cares when your telling war story's and drinking beer. Folks that's how I knew this place was authentic. Now this Small bar with outdoor ( heated patio ) and indoor seating for a about 3 tables plus a bar you can belle up to or hold you up if you consumed one to many spirits. My partner and I ordered a Greek salad to attempt to be healthy until our pizza's arrived. Those piping hot pies will torch the roof of your mouth so unless you wanna eat your own mouth and call it pizza I'd chill and let it cool down before you sink your teeth into your pie... After the orgazmic rush of your taste Bud endorphins it's time eat your way through rest of the famous bar pizza. No crust should be left untouched cause that's a sin in these parts.... The service was excellent, and the women at the front were fantastic. However, the food was quite disappointing given the price. I was told there would be a 30-minute wait, but when I picked up my order, the food was cold. I ordered a "Very Large Salad" from the menu, but what I received was barely more than a single chopped romaine leaf with no cheese. It didn't even cover the bottom of the container. One pizza is also not enough for two individuals, given the price point and the size of the pizza i'd advise elsewhere. read more

Pizza is 5 stars the ambiance is 1 star. Stoneys is a great kitchen attached to a lousy small dinning room. It is filled with loud, sketchy patrons who have no sense of grace. I'm ok if people are a little loud but read the room around you. The hostess was apologetic but did nothing to stop the behavior and that's fine it seemed like these loud mouths were regulars who are just ignorant. I used to eat at this place a while ago and I was so glad when it re opened but from now on it will just be take out because the patrons are awful. Great pizza lousy dinning experience. read more

$40 for two tiny pizzas and a pile of lettuce. One pizza had 2 of the 4 toppings ordered. Pile of lettuce "salad" had two cherry tomatoes cut in half to resemble 4 tomatoes and 3 or 4 slices of cucumber. Had some red onions on it, could have called it an onion salad. I just don't get the math for the amount of food and pizza is barely ok. read more

Friendly staff, excellent pizza. It's a hole in the wall place, quaint. Our go-to is Cape Cod Pizza in Brockton, however, we've moved out of state and came to visit family. Didn't want to drive up to Brockton because we're staying in Middleboro. We are so happy we came here and found this place. Great prices too. Yelp hours are wrong. Google info is accurate. read more

So I sold the condo & left Winterhill !! Cause it's just not the same as the "good ol days" So I moved to Middleboro ( the total opposite of Somerville ) well Stoney's was the first place I tried!! The first time called no answer second time double charged my girlfriends card then said they would refund and charged the regular price which overdrafted (not their fault) they call back make a stink about it for two small pizzas a 5 piece wing that came with 3..... pizza burnt hardly any pulled pork on it horrible service. Charged 90$ for two pizzas and a 3 piece wing. I'm all for local businesses but avoid this one read more

Was my first time here tonight. Let me start off by saying great choice the girls from work kept telling me to try it .... so i did. Walked in and it was small and cozy. Tammy waited on me she was great super friendly and nice also the other bar sitters were friendly as well:) i ordered 4 pizza's, the stoney mac, steak and cheese (recommended by the lady at the bar), spud pizza and greek godess! I am on the road a lot, and pizza is always a quick and easy option. But sometimes you have pizza that transcends just quick and easy, and flows into unbelievable! Stoney's pizza is exactly that. It's NOT the house on the road but the bar in the back. And don't be fooled--this is EXCELLENT Mass pizza, with that crispy crust like a biscuit and the well-browned cheese. Had a plain ol' sausage and mush and a Better Than Feta--spinach, buffalo sauce, bacon and cheddar. Super taste, super texture on both. By the looks of those on others' tables, I bet the other 25-30 specialties are as noteworthy. Side salads were gigundous. And for us NA beer drinkers, Beck's (or O'Doul's if you're into drinking chemistry). We'll be back always when down this way--and Tammy better still be here! read more

Great pizza if you like bar style. Unique combinations offered to partake. I had the pot roast pizza and it was awesome. They also offer an Italian cold cut pizza which I also enjoyed. Love the burnt edges on the pizza! I would give 5 stars but it closes early and isn't open on Monday and Tuesday. read more

Last night was my first visit & it surely won't be my last!! Tammy is super friendly, fun & a great bartender. Which to me, completely solidified the 5 star rating on my part. Service is important in any dining experience but I don't want that to over shadow the fact that this place has THE BEST pub pizza!! Move over Cape Cod Cafe, Town Spa & Linwood... Originally a Uno's location, the layout has a lot more room for moving around, and about the same amount of machines that are found in Providence. The Wangan Midnight is a great addition the other 2 locations don't have. Staff is super friendly, and the Sunday Family Day (check what location since it rotates) makes it an absolute deal to play for 5+ hours for only $12 a head. The amount of Stern Pinball machines is great, and I love coming back weekly. A close tie for 1st / 2nd between here and Providence. Great place and great times.
