In the meantime, JGP has the widest concrete paths I can remember in any park I've visited, like the concrete guys were hurting for business, and offered a double wide, two-for-one deal. I imagine it offers a smooth surface for skaters, though I haven't noticed any here on my rare visits. Most importantly for Onyx H. and her little buddy Ruby H., this place is dog-friendly. There's a fenced dog park on the northeast side, and at least one doggie-bag dispenser. That doggie-bag dispenser can be most important when the stock of plastic bags in your pocket is exceeded by your pet's desired number of pit stops. JGP is a perfect place for a short winter walk with your canine companions.

There are double gates so that no dog escapes by mistake. There is a separate section for little dogs. In each area, there are several benches for humans. There is one trashcan at the entrance, but bring your own poop bags. There is also a bucket of toys/balls/frisbees to use while in the park. If you happen to throw a ball over the fence, there is a back gate so you don't have a walk all the way around. If someone from the church sees that you are parked near the dog park, they might come over to chat and make sure everything is going well. She'll also invite you to join their Facebook page. I could not believe that someone who works with dogs would do that! He took one look at our boys + said NO, we were not welcome. Our dogs are mixed breed, + one of those breeds is pit bull. We told him that our boys are super sweet, not aggressive at all, + he told us that we don't understand pit bulls. I understand that there are aggressive pit bulls in the world; however, ANY dog can be aggressive under the right circumstances. Nowhere on the website does it list which breeds are not allowed, so we didn't know. Huge waste of everyone's time + energy. Overall, Wayne was very rude + unprofessional. Definitely would not pay the exorbitant prices of a membership here - IF your dogs are even accepted into the park!
