Each fenced in area has park benches and covered picnic tables to relax and watch your dogs play as well as water fountains that have a small bowl on the bottom to run water in for your dog. There's also agility training equipment in each area as well as trash receptacles that have plastic bag dispensers to clean up after your pup. This dog park is very clean, never crowded and the best part is it's FREE!!

In the meantime, JGP has the widest concrete paths I can remember in any park I've visited, like the concrete guys were hurting for business, and offered a double wide, two-for-one deal. I imagine it offers a smooth surface for skaters, though I haven't noticed any here on my rare visits. Most importantly for Onyx H. and her little buddy Ruby H., this place is dog-friendly. There's a fenced dog park on the northeast side, and at least one doggie-bag dispenser. That doggie-bag dispenser can be most important when the stock of plastic bags in your pocket is exceeded by your pet's desired number of pit stops. JGP is a perfect place for a short winter walk with your canine companions.

Very well maintained with plenty of room to spread out. Multiple water spickets throughout the park. The fence is very nice and has chicken wire at the bottom so smaller dogs can't get out. Clean restrooms right next to the park. Beautiful grass, multiple water dishes, dog waste stations (bags), toys, a pavilion to sit under while you dog enjoys itself. We only started going here this week and we are yet to see anyone else here. Look forward to using this place for years to come.

He did so good until a big dog came up and started biting him it wasn't vicious or anything it was playing but my dog didn't understand we kept pulling him away and my dog kept backing up because he was afraid and the dog kept following this is at no fault of the dog they don't completely understand as we do but the owner was not paying attention to his dog at all I kept looking at him hoping he would get his dog and he was preoccupied on his phone. The dog continued to follow and jump on me and my dog so I tried petting him to calm him down and he starting biting my arm again playfully but still kinda hurt which it doesn't bother me at all they are dogs and I love dogs but this guy should have been watching his dog. Other than that everyone was really nice and my dog loved playing with other dogs! I didn't get many pictures he was too excited but there are 3 sections that you can go into!

You need proof of rabies vaccination to get the dog tag and gate code from city hall. They also request a picture. There is a pool that you can drain out (the old water goes into the creek behind the park) and refill with clean water if you wish. It's shallow enough for most dogs to wade in. You'll often see dogs just laying in the water on warm days. My puppy just discovered the miracle that is water, and loves splashing around in the pool. Since I didn't think she would go in the water the first time at the park, I wasn't prepared and didn't bring a towel. Now I always keep one in my car! There are some strict rules for the park: no dog food/treats, no leashes, no digging, etc. All of which keeps this place well kept and pristine. There are always toys around so I stopped bringing my own.

Things I would change: Park is closed from late March-June. My pups are sad when they don't have a place to run, especially when it's the nicest part of the year; I feel guilty that I'm not able to be a volunteer (I work on weekends) since they ask for a lot of help from members; people who have come since it opened can be a bit cliquey, however I have met a lot of new members like me. Please beware that smaller dogs may be able to fit under the fence or even through the fence bars. My 20 lb dog was able to get through the fence bars without much effort. This park offers gated greenery and tons of running and playing space for the local pups and it is so much fun even to go as humans. If your dog will not be comfortable with this or is not friendly, this may not be the place for you.
