There are little cozy nooks around the bookstore, as there should be in a bookstore. There's also a section for kids, with a little table and some reading material to peruse. Inexplicably, Bluestocking Books is closed on Wednesdays! What an interesting day to be closed, but I guess you have to be closed at least one day, right? Why not Wednesday? The people who work here are very friendly and helpful, and there's just a palpable welcoming vibe emanating from the store. It's a nice place to browse and find the perfect book.

Good amount of book merch and themed table sections, but I think the lighting could have been a bit brighter. They were running some great deals before new years so I picked up a few new books. I have noticed that sometimes Barnes and Noble doesn't pick up the discounts listed on the stickers on the front covers of books, so I pay extra attention when those are rung up. I've discovered so many cute stationery brands that I've never even heard of, like Girl of All Work's Page Flags and more recently, L'après-midi Travel Journals! The shop is divided into 2 halves. One side carries art/decor and jewelry made by local artists in glass displays, and as you walk further in, you'll see an extensive selection of greeting cards, notebooks, and fountain pens in glass cases. They also carry gift wrapping supplies and assorted bags. The other side carries books and has a cute children's section with plushies, including Jellycats! I do have to say, the service is not always consistent. Some of the employees definitely profile you upon entering, but there are respectable employees that are genuinely eager to help you find what you're looking for! As a local, whenever I'm unable to find something in-stores, an employee happily offers to take down my info so that they can contact me if the item arrives in-stores at some point, which I greatly appreciate. From my experience, the pricing for the stationery is fair, in fact, for some of the items that I've purchased, Warwick's prices are actually lower than what you'd find online. The L'après-midi Travel Journals retail for $18 online from the brand's exclusive US distributor, but Warwick's prices the journals at $13.95! Similarly, the Girl of All Work Page Flags retail for $7 on the brand's website, but at Warwick's, it's $5.99. Parking can be difficult if you're trying to park directly in front of the store or on the main street, but if you drive around a bit, you're likely to find a spot within a reasonable walking distance. All in all, Warwick's remains as a fun shopping destination. If you're anything like me, you'll walk in with no intention to get anything, but will walk out with a shopping bag in hand. :)

I found myself just standing here, amazed by the selection! Lots of mystical books, books on philosophy, religious books, SF; science. I admired the section that has a lot of different Hindu texts from various denominations. I also saw some Tarot, and some CDs. I plan on coming back. Service was good as I was asked if I could be helped and it did motivate me to buy something. I pretty much can't pass up old books on anything regarding Ancient Greece! Right now I have enough books, but once my own little reading library is weeded out, I'll return with some questions, for sure! We need more bookstores like this! I was also informed of sloped floors and uneven areas since I am a cane user which I GREATLY appreciated. This store is stacked with literature and poetry, I'd say that's definitely their forte here. Their lit section for new releases is huge and they had so many different editions for so many popular literature books. They also had a lot of lit and non fiction used options. Everything is great pricing. Basically either list or discounted for used items. The store is cozy and small with memories, photos, and clippings everywhere on the walls. It you are a wheelchair user it is not accessible for you, but if you use a mobility aid like a cane or crutch you can manage. There are very small tight sections. They walked me back to the children's area and made sure I was in the correct area to wait for story time. Curated selections on display on the main room wasn't for me, nonetheless still worth checking out if you're a reader. Loved the kids section as they had plenty of items other than books. Was able to snag some items for birthday party. Games, books, puzzles. Lots of cute stuff. There was 1 employee we saw that was friendly enough. Items we got were priced fairly. Will be returning.
