Stopped here the other day, it was kinda dead for being a grocery store. But got what I needed

i shop here due to availability of organic produce. never again will I go to their customer service for help. The lady was rude and a "Karen". Almost did not want to help get me a new card. She kept blaming me for insufficient info. Aren't they supposed to guide me so I give the right info? Rude And mean lady! read more

I do most of my bi-weekly grocery shopping at this Stop & Shop because it is essentially across the street from where I work, but it is very limited in terms of its inventory because of its size. There are often specific things for which I must go to another store (usually the ShopRite on Fischer), such as fresh breads, specific cuts of meat, or certain types of produce, but I'm the kind of person that likes to plan my dinners when I figure out what I want to eat that day, so it's not really an inconvenience. I'm in a grocery store almost every other day anyway. People tell me this store is expensive compared to others, but I disgree with that based on all the evidence to the contrary. When I make the aforementioned twice a month trip here, it's usually about $50 cheaper for me than at ShopRite. One of the things I really like about Stop & Shop is that for much of the year, they run a program where you accumulate points on your courtesy card toward a 5% off coupon, and I find I've usually earned one every second trip or so. As far as this particular location is concerned, it has a lot of things going for it, not the least of which being that it is right next door to a large Buy Rite liquor store, which makes it very easy to pick up whatever is required there at the same time. The staff is very friendly, and they have an excellent deli counter, though the number of human-attended checkout aisles is often very limited. I visited this morning during senior hours. At the deli my order was taken. The woman was talking and laughing with coworkers. When she went to hand me my order her mask was below her nose and barely covering her mouth. I asked her why she wasn't putting her mask over her nose "oh, it slips!" She responded cheerfully. My daughter is a doctor in a hospital covid unit. I had asked her why people would only cover their mouth with a mask and not their nose my daughter said it was because they are stupid. Yup. The deli woman saw my hesitation. She asked if I still wanted the sliced meat. I said no. She didn't offer to put on new PPE and slice it again, she just turned away. Too lazy to wear the mask the proper way. As a breast cancer survivor I won't take the chance of shopping here again. They don't care. read more

I want to say that I frequent this store 3 times a week on the average..and the employees are all wonderful especially with our society losing commonsense and any sense of respect or dignity with the latest virus scare..the mgrs and staff have been working really hard to keep up with the flow of traffic..I'm a retail mgr myself and see what our society has to offer and its sickening. So hats off to you all for being open support the senior citizens and making sure the public and decent human beings can actually get the things they need.. read more

Been using this S & S for over 10 years. The store is clean & well lit. The product choices and prices are OK. The Pharmacy is great. They are involved and contribute to local charities. My one complaint is the mall where the store is located. There's actually only one exit and it crowds up badly. Another exit to Rt, 70 is necessary. read more

This store is horrible with a capital H. I've bought food not knowing until I get home that there's holes or rips in packaging, also I've unfortunately bought food that is way over the sell by date. Also, I'm not sure what was wrong with kid ringing up my groceries today but he obviously could care less. Tossing my groceries in each bag as if he were Kobe Bryant. Do yourself a favor and don't visit this island of misfit toys. read more

This location is smack in the middle of a shopping plaza between routes 70 & 9. It's always packed! There are never enough registers open and there is no gluten friendly freezer section (breads/pizza) and the produce doesn't last more than a few days (2-3). The only pro is that it's the closest grocery store. Hoping they open up a trader joes!!! read more

Absolutely disgusting, I had a girl today at the deli who picked up garbage from the floor with her bare hands and threw it away, she then turned around called my number and I asked her for a 1/2 pound of cheese. She started to walk over to the cheese when I stopped her and asked her if she was gonna wash her hands first, if looks could kill I was dead. She did finally wash her hands but it was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen at a deli, had many times have she done this before. Done shopping there forever. I have been shopping at this store since it opened. Though, all tell me, it's a expensive grocery store, I beg to differ. It may be a few pennies more, then say Shop Rite, but I always end up spending more at other stores. I am usually in and out, most days the lines are pretty short. Sometimes they are a little short handed and the lines are at the level of leaving my cart and going home, aggravated. This one perticuler store is in the process of a major remodel. I am not good with change. They have this store turned upside down. I am not one for going food shopping, it's right up there with going for a flu shot. Has to be done, get it over with as quick as possible. This store at the moment is right up there with a root canal. I always loved this store and knew where everything was, and went right for it. Now the ice cream is in isle 57 and the toppings for the ice cream is in isle 2???? Are you for real. HOPE IT GETS BETTER. I will re post when I see the change, and find it a little easier to handle. read more

I think this is one of the better Stop & Shop's in the area. If you're looking for specific things sometimes they won't have that particular brand or something, but other than that it is a good store. Whenever I go it's never packed, and even parking is relatively easy considering the size of the plaza / parking lot. Prices are about the same as any. I always think Stop & Shop is one of the more expensive food stores, but it's not outrageous. The staff at this location is also friendly and helpful. read more

Nice and organized store off Route 70. Easy to shop and find things. Not hugely busy during dinner hour unlike some stores. It didn't seem overly expensive but not cheap either. There were good sales to take advantage of. The employee I interacted with was not especially helpful or welcoming. The deli manager helped us later and was terrific. friendly, helpful and offered samples. We used their scanning wand and scanned and bagged as we went along so checkout was speedy. The other time I went I did complete self checkout. just scan your stuff at the end and pay and go. They have a courtesy card(rewards) and you can earn gas rewards. It had the items I wanted, parking was a breeze and I self checked. I will be back. read more

Store is clean and well stocked even on sale items but there are never and I mean never enough registers open. Sooo annoying

First the produce STINKS. It takes me FOREVER to find anything decent. There is very little to select from that's organic, too. BIG disappointment there. The milk is always disgusting with caked on dried up milk all over the place, including on the jugs. The checkout lanes are always a cluster. I literally watched one "manager" watching over them and just standing while everyone struggled (myself, included - I was bagging as quick as possible). Was there today and there was ONE lane open and only a few self help lanes, which take FOREVER (the older folk who frequent this store are CLUELESS). I only go here because it's close by but it is pretty poor quality place to shop. Not the worst I've ever seen but far, far from the best. read more

NEVER AGAIN!! This store is BY FAR 'the' worst in the area. I spent 23 minutes at the cold cut counter befor being waited on. There were two workers and seven people waiting. In between waiting on people the workers would do other tasks that (IMHO) should be done when there's a lull in the action. Besides that they would distract from their work to engage in frivolous talk with each other and their customer. When someone complained the man told them to "complain to the manager and maybe they'd move someone over from the fish counter." The customer countered that he had asked for the manager but he was nowhere to be found. After all that the roast beef tasted like cardboard, ( should have asked for a sample slice). When another gentleman complained I said to him "live and learn." He replied "I have." I had to hunt for cucumbers before I finally found them in an unlikely area away from similar green veggies. The strawberries looked like dwarfs. All item prices seem to be higher than other area stores. read more
