The store manager "Tina" should take a class in dealing with disabled employees. She's a bully with very limited management skills. Her job is to hear both sides of an issue before automatically taking the side of her "friend ". It's difficult enough for disabled people to get work, never mind the challenge of dealing with a manager who calls the police for absolutely no reason! (nothing came of this, other than complete embarrassment). I have never seen such cruelty from an assistant manager and a cashier. Some understanding and empathy would do them (and potential employees who may have disabilities) a world of good. How disgusting and unprofessional. Maybe Stop&Shop should pay more, so they could hire better managers! read more

Visiting Cape Cod and we will never return to this Stop and Shop again. Employee at the self checkout was one of the rudest people I've encountered. Grabbed an item from my husband's hands while make nasty annoyed faces and throwing the item down after he scanned it and then stomped away. Extremely rude behavior. Will go to Shaws next time. read more

The staff is so amazing and they are all just so cool for no reason I don't understand how. It's a small and quaint stop and shop good for those that like a little quieter scene. Don't forget your bags. read more

The good: I find the staff of this Stop & Shop pleasant and helpful. The bad: Stop & Shop pricing is inconsistant between stores. I find it maddening that milk (for example) is 50 cents more at this store, than the larger Stop & Shop in Hyannis. Produce can be hit or miss. It seems like every time an item that I regularly purchase goes on sale, it sells out immediately. I wish there were better options near my home. read more

The first thing to know about Stop & Shop is that they own or have rights-locked most of the grocery-store sized-lots on Cape Cod. This was revealed by the Cape Cod Times. So if you disapprove of bullying, monopolistic, price-gouging behavior, then by all means, avoid Stop & Shop on Cape Cod. They're all also constantly hiring part-time people -- so maybe there's something wrong there, too. If you can't attract and keep good employees and have to force your customers to come to you, maybe you're not a very good store. My online deli orders have been misplaced about half the time. I have to back up all orders with a phone call and they act like I did something wrong by daring to order online. But then that order is beautifully done. Once it was discounted as an apology, and I appreciate that. Prices on produce are 50% higher than Market Basket at Exit 1. Despite all of this, I do stop in here about three times a month for small fill-in orders. I'd love to shop here regularly but the prices and business practices dissuade me. Most of my business goes to Market Basket which is 30 minutes away from my home. read more

I have to shop here all the time for my relatives, and the airless block of a store isn't helped by weird checkout lines and a layout that requires the kind of stamina of a Costco without the pricing. The things you need quickly are way in the back (I'm sure by design) and the prepared foods and quick foods are below average for similar-sized stores. Staff are hit or miss; occasionally I get a very helpful and earnest clerk, sometimes somebody who clearly is doing me a favor by even deigning to take my money. Retailers: this area's ripe for some competition. read more

I have worked at this stop n shop for over 3 years. It went from halfway decent to bad very quickly. My biggest problem would be the design, the spinning racks and small self checkout stations waste bags and time, as well as reduce space. The plastic bags rip easily and the frequent technical problems hold up lines. For every good employee there's at least one bad one that's rude or in your face. I can say the products are of decent quality but is it worth it? All i say is shop at your own risk. Two stars... barely. read more

I can forgive the small stop and shop for having a terrible lack of options compared to a full size stop and shop. However, one night going in to buy a few items I found thee staff to be so rude and pushy. Needless to say I'm glad a whole foods has come to cape cod. read more

Station Avenue Stop & Shop is a pleasant and convenient place to shop. The staff are exceptionally accommodating especially Dairy Manager Vlad and Customer Service Representatives Donald and Mary. I purchase flowers often and Cheyanne and Sharon are helpful and knowledgeable. I had a deli emergency due to an unexpected death and had deli platters made within an hour. Self check out monitor Jane is always ready to assist. The staff make this big store feel like the corner grocer. Prices are an issue. read more
