Kristen was the wedding coordinator for our wedding reception in San Juan Capistrano. She did a great job coordinating with us the month before the wedding and kept in frequent contact with us leading up to the event. She was responsive to our requests, and coordinated with all our vendors to make sure that everything went according to plan. As usual with any wedding, things didn't go perfectly. There were a few things that we forgot to bring (i.e., pens for the guestbook) and the venue administrator forgot to send Kristen our revised seating chart. But you really wouldn't have noticed, because Kristen did a good job of making sure the most important stuff was all taken care of. The week of my wedding she offered to pick up all my decor and bring it to the venue for us. That was seriously the best thing ever. I had no clue how I was going to get everything there and she just took that off my plate in one swoop. The night before my wedding she emailed me all the balances left due and made my accounting easy and straightforward. I put all the amounts due in little envelopes and my mother in law delivered them to her on our wedding day. On the day of my wedding she didn't bother me with any details, she took care of EVERYTHING. It was the most relaxing day. I hired Kristen as a day-of coordinator for my recent wedding, and she was undoubtedly so impressive from beginning to end, of our entire experience working with her. Ironically we learned about her through a referral of her husband, DJ Dakota Sottosanto of DJ Sota Entertainment. We ended up hiring them both - best decision ever - they are a seamless power duo team. I have pretty high expectations of vendors and hired staff, since I handle PR for many high profile events in Los Angeles, and often have steep budgets- but NOT for my own wedding =/ Since we paid for our wedding ourselves, my goal was to find the best coordinator I could find for the best value. I spoke with many coordinators/planners from LA and OC, and ended up going with Kristen. From the start she was quick to provide super valuable feedback of my ideas. Her vendor references and insight through the process were all top notch, and impressed me incredibly. She knows EVERYONE and had references for any price point. She really respected where we were budget wise, and also respected our time and was super flexible leading up to our day. My wedding itself was very challenging as well.... it was a multi level outdoor estate location that was up and down stairs, with family that was sensitive to each other, and I was a bit OCD and very specific with how I wanted things to look... was VERY detailed. I even made this ridiculous spreadsheet of large and small details, and she was not phased the least bit -- she handled everything with grace and professionalism, and made sure it was all executed day of. She also contacted all of my vendors without me having to ask (usually I would do this myself), and took SO MUCH off of my plate making sure everyone was squared away right before my wedding. She also created the most immaculate timeline, with every minute planned for the florist to the caterer. Having hired DJ Sota also made it even more of a seamless, happy, perfect experience. I found myself saying something to Dakota about a change in timeline for example, and immediately Kristen was updated. My advice would truly be to HIRE HER - and definitely hire Dakota too if you are looking for a DJ.. he is really unbelievable the way he catered to our specific oldies funk theme while mixing in other tunes, and navigating/managing all the sound elements of my space. My wedding was undoubtedly my dream come true, and I really do owe a part of that joy to Kristen and her team. Her DAY-OF performance and rehearsal walk thru performance was SUPERB. She managed my huge wedding party (of seemingly wild adult children) so so well, and had so many great ideas to improve the flow, where people stood with the space, etc. etc. She really thinks of many details that you don't think of, and quite frankly, don't want to be worried about on your wedding day. She took every worry off of my shoulders and even when there were issues, she handled it without me even knowing. She is the best liaison for any bride, her wedding party, the event itself and your vendors. As our wedding was in July 2020, I felt that COVID would not affect us at all. Little did we know July was the worst month for COVID and Kristen somehow was able to create the most memorable day of our lives. Three venues, six versions of our timeline, new COVID regulations happening weekly, and downsizing our wedding from 200 people, to 150 people, to 70 people to 40 people. We communicated so much! My husband and I hired Kristen as our day-of coordinator for our wedding on 11/6/16, and we could not be happier. We were planning a pretty standard wedding and to be honest, we were not initially anticipating hiring a coordinator for the day. I hired Kristen as a month of coordinator for our July 2017 wedding. We also went through Stop & Stare Events for our DJ (DJ Sota) and our photobooth. Every service that they provided was excellent! Kristen was incredibly responsive every time I emailed her with a question or concern - even when a few were outside of the month of time frame. For every question I had, Kristen would reply with a variety of options or clear answers and that was so helpful for me! In our first meeting, it was my mom, fiance and me. Despite the three of us being a bit all over the place, Kristen was able to engage in the conversation (or side bar anecdote) with us and then get us right back on track. I left that meeting and looked at my mom and fiance, and said, "I already feel 100% better knowing that Kristen is on our side and in charge the day of. I don't have to worry so much." As any bride can attest, the planning process takes on a life of its own and you don't even realize what you don't have ready until someone brings it up. Kristen was SO on top of everything. She had all of the lists and checklists I needed help me remember what I needed to get done, gather, make, buy, etc. We had a large bridal party (8 bridesmaids, 8 groomsmen, plus family and a dog as our ringbearer), so our rehearsal was quite the scene! However, Kristen was able to wrangle everyone together and coordinate our rehearsal in a way that felt productive, but also fun. She was the right balance of focused and flexible, which I greatly appreciated. Also, she is an expert at gently transitioning people back to the topic at hand, which was critical throughout the rehearsal and subsequent conversations and moments. On our wedding day, everything - from our perspective - was absolutely perfect! Nothing went wrong - or if it did, no one told us. Everything was on time and everyone had an absolute blast! I created a bunch of decor myself and Kristen and her assistant did a wonderful job at setting it all up to execute our vision. We were on a tight budget originally and a Day-Of Coordinator was one of the last things that we had planned on. But as every couple knows, once you start planning a wedding you begin to realize that it is impossible to do everything on your own while enjoying your big day! I am SO thankful that we found Kristen and decided to use a coordinator because it really allowed us to focus on our wedding day and each other! We had spoken to several planners/coordinators and most of them weren't willing to work with our vision and seemed set in their ways and pretentious. Kristen was so down-to-Earth and pleasant when we met with her that we knew right away that we had found the perfect coordinator for us! She was patient, organized, beyond helpful and just a pleasant person to be around. While we did a ton of DIY, it was so amazing to have Kristen there to offer advice or even just a calming voice when my neuroses kicked in :) She was always checking in at the perfect times without being overbearing and we were never made to feel as if we were burdening her. On the big day, she would casually check in as needed, but pretty much had everything under control and that is in large part due to her planning ahead of time. She was calm, cool & collected all day and a consummate professional. We also took a lot of pride in our "vision" & DIY aspects and she really brought everything to life, just as we had envisioned. I hired Kristen as my day of coordinator and she worked with me starting the month prior to my wedding day. Kristen helped me put together my wedding day timeline, reviewed all my details and confirmed the date and time of my wedding with all my vendors and was available for all questions I had. She made sure to make note of what was important to me to make sure those details were executed correctly the day of the wedding. Stop and Stare Events did a spectacular job in Coordinating my daughter's wedding on May 30, 2015. We used her as our "month of" Coordinator, which meant that Kristen had to step in 30 days before the wedding, understand our vision and help to execute it...and she did JUST THAT!!! She developed our Timeline for the day of, which went off perfectly and coordinated the flow of the evening to perfection. Kristen is a beautiful young woman inside and out and helped to make my daughter's wedding the perfect memory that she wanted. My wife and I hired Kristen to be our Day-Of Planner for our wedding at El Adobe de Capistrano in November. She was fantastic! We were originally not planning on having a planner, but our friends were saying we should have someone to help out, so that we could enjoy the day and not worry about everything.
