I was extremely disappointed with the overall experience I had with this photographer during my…read morewedding. From the beginning, there were several issues that made the process uncomfortable and unprofessional. When the photographer arrived at my hotel room, it was a private space filled with women getting ready. I was still in the process of getting my makeup done and had not yet changed into my wedding dress. Unexpectedly, the photographer's husband--who was not part of our contract or hired services--entered the room with her. My mother had to politely ask him to wait in the lobby while I was getting dressed, which should not have been necessary in such a private and intimate setting. Prior to the ceremony, we informed the photographer that we planned to take photos outdoors and were waiting on further instructions, as we were not from the area. The original directions I received were incorrect, and we clarified which side of the venue we wanted to use for portraits. Despite the venue being the same location, her husband made a snide comment about how inconvenient the change was, which felt uncalled for and unprofessional. Once we arrived at the venue, she did take some photos, but during the reception, things became more disappointing. She and her husband sat down to eat with our guests--something we had only agreed to provide for her, not her husband. When the majority of our guests were ready for photos (about an hour after dinner was served), my mother had to repeatedly ask her to resume taking pictures. When she did, she appeared visibly annoyed and took random photos that did not reflect the main events or key moments of the celebration. For instance, we had a memorial table honoring our deceased relatives. She took a photo of the sign on the table but failed to capture the full display. I ultimately ended up with more meaningful and candid pictures from friends and family than from our paid photographer. After the event, we received a photo link and a USB drive with our gallery. Unfortunately, it was full of duplicates and random shots that lacked relevance to our wedding or guests. The editing was minimal at best--mostly black-and-white filters or slight lighting adjustments. There was no attention to composition, indoor/outdoor lighting balance, or detail. The final product felt rushed and lacked the quality and artistry showcased on her website. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this photographer for a wedding or any significant event. The professionalism, quality of work, and understanding of current photography standards were not reflected in the service we received.
