What was left and a suspicious black and yellow box that Does not belong to us. This storage was half full. And this was was left over

I normally wouldn't complain. But today I found out items from my storage unit were stolen with no evidence of forced entry. When I informed the person up front they were very confused and offered us no consolation over the items we lost. I understand that there is so much they could do but we placed trust in their property and felt that our items were going to be safe. We are a military family and lost a lot of irreplaceable items such as uniforms, awards, and items we had gotten in our time in service. Along with that with some photos of my family and items that belonged to my children. There was definitely a better way to have handled a situation like this but I do not feel any type of relief or satisfaction. I will be closing my account and taking the very little that was left. Wouldn't trust their services again. Oh and that yellow and black container was left in there with a bunch of random stuff that do not belong to us. It was a very suspicious situation

Nearly every piece of furniture was wrapped in a moving blanket and nothing was scratched. All of our wall art and TV's were carefully packed and arrived in perfect shape. But I do NOT recommend them for packing your boxes! We hired them to pack our entire house on 3/10/26. They left many things unpacked that day and the crew who came to load everything the next day had to finish the packing. The young man who packed our kitchen did a great job, better than I would have done. Nothing was broken when we unpacked the boxes and every box was labeled correctly and thoroughly. But the rest of the house was packed horribly! Random items from separate rooms were put together in the same box. Some breakable items weren't even wrapped. The huge wardrobe boxes were used for very big and heavy items instead of our clothes. And some of our clothes that were on hangers were just shoved in boxes with other things without being folded. Some of our curtains were wadded up and used in a box like packing paper, making them extremely wrinkled. My mattress pad was wadded up and shoved in a box that was way too small and the box wasn't even closed! (See photo.) Many of the boxes weren't labeled at all, and some were actually labeled incorrectly, so when they were unloaded, they were placed in the wrong room, making us look for days to find our things. We have had to open every single box to figure out where it belongs. We have moved several times, but we have never seen such a sloppy packing job! My teenagers packed better than these guys did! We have been in our new home for a week now, and we're still trying to find things. If you plan to pack your own boxes, these guys are great at moving them. But when it comes to packing, they need some serious training! Very disappointed!

And a special shout out to Chelice. You are amazing. Always there to answer our questions and help us with scheduling. I'm not one to leave one-star reviews, because I believe feedback and concerns should be addressed…read moredirectly with the business first. But when you make the effort to address it directly and don't even receive a follow-up or apology, it feels like it warrants sharing the experience publicly. I hired Rapid Moving to move between two houses less than two blocks apart--a move I likely would have done myself if time allowed. I also hired them to pack two of the six rooms in my home: the kitchen and my child's room. Upon arrival, similar to what others have mentioned in reviews, the movers smelled strongly of weed. They were also dressed in what I would consider inappropriate attire for a moving job--oversized clothing and slides. One mover was actively playing a gambling game on his phone while speaking with me and while I was giving them a tour of the house. That same mover stayed on his phone for most of the day, only hanging up when they drove the truck to the new house. At one point he even asked to borrow a charger because his phone had died. Many of the conversations he was having were inappropriate, and I was honestly relieved that my kids were not home to hear them. The move itself wasn't particularly fast, though I wouldn't say they were dragging either. What was strange was that with the truck only about half full and still two rooms of furniture left, they decided to make a trip to the new house to unload and then return for the remaining items. They ultimately finished within the expected time, but the last portion of my belongings was simply left in the living room. They also left an entire box worth of toys behind in my child's room that never made it onto the truck. During the move, they put a large dent in the molding around the bathroom door in my old home and broke one of the steps leading to the upstairs bedroom in the new house. The packing portion was especially disappointing. The movers only brought standard large boxes, not heavy-duty ones. While some delicate items were wrapped, several cocktail glasses were not wrapped at all. Most of the boxes appeared to be packed by simply tossing items inside with no organization or protection. One box that contained all of my cocktail glassware had a cast iron skillet placed on top of it, which resulted in significant breakage. In total I lost about $200 worth of glassware along with two collector plates from Disneyland Paris. In another case, a bottle of olive oil was thrown into a box where the pour spout popped off, leaking oil over the entire contents. Cleanliness was also an issue. The movers left remnants of their lunch throughout several rooms in my old house, including salsa drips on the kitchen counters. We bought them water midway through the move, only to later find empty bottles scattered around the new house. They also left behind their packing supplies--wrapping paper, tape rolls, and leftover boxes. After the move, I made an effort to contact the business directly to discuss my concerns. My call was answered by the receptionist, who was polite and did her best to take notes. However, I was really hoping the owner would follow up with at least a phone call and an apology. Unfortunately, that never happened.

It wasn't a huge deal they contacted me right away and offered to drop it off the next morning. It happens, moving can be chaotic. They quoted me 3 hours and they stuck to those 3 hours. They were so quick and efficient and super careful with my furniture and my things. They were cheaper than most of the other companies that I reached out too and they were a lot more kind and straight forward with quoting. They're local to the central valley so I try to stick with local vendors. Another thing to mention is that they are a smaller company, so getting to talk to someone is very quick, it is easy to book with them and it is easy to work with them in general. Hopefully I don't have to move again but I strongly recommend them

It started where I was told to call after contacting through Yelp. I called and then they said…read moresomeone would call me back later because they were not in the office. It was the next day when they finally reached out. I spoke with Donna who gave me a quote of up to 5 hours, which previous moves never took longer than that, and quoted me what up to 5 hours would cost. Before the move I called and requested 4 garment boxes which they said would add to my file and bring on moving day. On moving day they did not bring the garment boxes and had to use several of my boxes and they shoved my clothes in the boxes causing my nice pressed clothes that come from dry cleaners to become wrinkled and needing to repress. Moving day came and they were on time. Apparently there was a new person and then during my move an office staff person showed up for about 30 minutes to watch them move my stuff. The new guy was not sure on certain things so it slowed them down a little. We went to my storage after that which took them about 45 minutes to get there. Should not have taken more than 30 minutes. It took me only 18 minutes from first stop. Again moving stuff out of storage the new guy was slow. When moving stuff out they dropped my grandmothers box of silverware and damaged the box a little. They just kind of threw the silverware back in there and put it in the truck. Once we got to final destination there was a lot of double handling of stuff which again added time. During the move they damaged the frame to my extra room closet and because of the time, I just told them to store all the boxes in one room. It ended up being 6.5 hours and almost 300.00 dollars over the price quoted. They said they were going to put my table together, but because I knew they were over a lot of time and I was already frustrated by this time because of the carelessness and the slowness of the move I said forget it I will do it. When I reached out to the company after the move they were slow to respond and I told them all the stuff that happened. After some time they responded that they would send me a 300.00 voucher for future services. I declined the offer stating I will not be using their company again. I then just requested at least a refund of an hour for all the trouble and the slow worker. They again waited to respond and I kept reaching out. They responded that they would give me 25.00 Visa card for the damaged box and I just needed to send pictures. The professionalism of this company is a disgrace and I would not recommend them to anyone. They disregarded all the issues that I endured. Please do not use this company.

I went with Master Movers because they are one of the few movers in Fresno with proper insurance and licensing, offered the lowest quote, and had great customer service when booking (thanks Terry!). Honestly, the rate was so competitive that I was skeptical anyone would show up. Thankfully they did and they were AWESOME. Abi and Armando loaded the truck, drove ~1 hour to Merced, and unloaded all within 4 hours. They were punctual, efficient, careful, and professional. My items all arrived in one piece and no damage was done to my home. When it came to payment, I was charged the low end of my quote with no hidden fees. Anyway .... the guy came out and did the walk through, promising a quote within a few days; never happened and no follow-up whatsoever. So the way it works I guess (and this happened with one other interstate local agent also), is that they fulfill their requirement with Mayflower (of coming out to your house) but then cherry pick the jobs based on size (our quote from two other long distance movers was 9-10K) and location(s). Anyway, guess they don't want to tell you that they don't want your business. The good news is that we've found a way to move more cheaply (50% less) and with a higher level of confidence. This is a 2300 mile interstate move and we'll be using a combination of a Upack 28 foot trailer and local movers with excellent reviews to load up the trailer. The trailer is then moved by ABF freight to your destination and yours is the only residential load on that trailer (with your own locks on the enclosing partition) - check it out. And no, I'm not affiliated with them.
