Selected these rats as the other service did not serve my new zip code. (Used other service before and was superb). After half filled, it rained and the pod leaked. Sent replacement next day. Filled that pod and 2 more. They picked them all up and family moved to new location. Pods were supposed to be there the next day. Nope. Called to find out they never closed the pick-up, so all pods were still 12 hours away at their origin. Then they schedule telling me it'll be TWO WEEKS before delivery. (And hold time to talk to someone was never less than an hour, up to 5 hours and averaged 3 hours). So here we are at the new residence sleeping on the floor and eating off of paper plates with plasticware. No pots and pans, nothing. Then the argument began on my "four" pods. Wait - I filled three. They insisted there were four because they included the first one that leaked. They wouldn't deliver until all four were paid for. Paid for the fourth and I'll fight that battle later. Just get me my stuff. OK, 13 days later I get the first pod. By the time all (three) pods were delivered and emptied, a month had passed so I'm now being charged for another month's rental for two of the pods. Seriously? Currently six weeks in and they finally straightened out I only had three pods and I'm frustrated and fighting to have the rental charge on two of the pods dropped since all of this was the Rats' error in not closing the pick-up at the originating zip code. Never again. Cost, time and frustration could have been avoided with a private moving company. NEVER again.

On move-out day, I opened my unit and was shocked to find all of my belongings covered in pollen. The pollen had even seeped inside sealed boxes, and when I moved everything into my new home, the pollen tracked inside and created a huge mess. I even had to visit Urgent Care to have my eye flushed because of the exposure. When I contacted the District Manager, Chris Moss, he was difficult to reach and slow to return calls. When I finally spoke with him, he didn't seem concerned and simply said he was sorry. He never asked to see the photos I had showing the severity of the issue, and when I suggested inspecting the unit to prevent this from happening again, his response was that it couldn't be done because it was "not pollen season." I later reached out to corporate, but the only response I got was "we're sorry" and that I should "read the fine print." No one showed any real concern about the issue with the unit--or the risk that others may face the same problem. For reference, this was at 10104 Capital Blvd., Wake Forest, NC 27578, Unit B060. The only positive part of this experience was Laquanda at the front desk--she was kind, professional, and very helpful throughout my rental. Beware before renting from this company unless you don't mind your belongings being covered in pollen.

I was on the top floor and always had items from trade show that were heavy. I had to go back to my car/truck, load items up, and return again. These occasions were after hours, which made it highly inconvenient and unable to get help. The other customers that were also trying to load items or take items from their storage said that it happens sometimes. Either way, if you aren't on the bottom floor, I'd always check the elevators before you unload your items. I was also disappointed with how much they up-charge with insurance. I started digging into my own business policy to circumvent the extra charge. Pay attention to advertised prices because once it's said and done, the prices are much higher than you plan on. Otherwise, it is really no contest in the area. If you plan accordingly, Bee storage is a good option.
