I wish I could give a lower rating. This is the sketchiest place I have ever dealt with. There were many times I was locked out of the gate for no reason so I would have to call the main number to figure out why. On 4-1-25 my bill was 87.99 for a outside space and on 4-1-26 my bill was 132.99. Crazy bad business and I would not recommend these theifs to anyone. read more

The only reason I gave one star as my review is bc I wasn't allowed to give zero stars. This company is beyond crooked. They start off with the best rates in town but every 3 months that jack your rates up a little more. I got my 10x20x8 unit several years ago and originally was paying $120/month and I now pay $260.... Don't even get me started about the hidden fees if you're late. They are absolutely heartless and will not in any way be understanding if your payment is late. On the 4th day of the month they tack on $40 for being late and then another $15 on day 7 of being late and another $20 the following day after that. After 3 weeks they gouge you a little more but this time charge $75 and then after a month of being late they hit you with you next bill and an additional $100 on top that. In other words, they make it nearly impossible to get caught up. When they cut your lock they will steal your belongings and go through your belingings. We needed a larger unit so on 8-1-24 we up graded our unit and was giving a 48 hour grace to move the smaller unit over to the bigger unit. When we returned that evening around 7pm out gate code was denied so after close to 45 minutes getting a temporary code to go in we had close to an hour and half to move one unit over and also empty the rental box van. We ran out of time so we returned that next morning at 6 am and we'll the gate wouldn't open and the main office said we had to wait for the office here to open that they couldn't give another temporary code. Well excuse me!!! I would have no help at that time because my husband had to work so I called and left a voicemail not once that day but I'd say maybe three times and no return call was told on recording it takes up to 72 hours to get a return call. With that being said their went out 48 hours. Then my husband and I got covid and so I once again called and left a message letting them know we were sick with covid to please call me back. And nope no call back but I did get thru that afternoon to a human and told them we had covid to please charge me for the other unit the guy took my card number and told me it was all good and get well soon. When we recovered we still couldn't get in the gate and had to wait for return calls and it is like playing tag to even get into the office to handle business. I kept calling with no luck. On the Sept,22 I rode to the storage with a friend that had a unit there and we drove past my unit going to hers and I seen that theivk and the slide lock thing was completely removed from my door so I called thesin number informed them of the finding I came upon someone had possibly broke into some units. Next day my husband received a very shitty email from them informing us they was going to dispose of our property in the unit. Umm excuse me but our unit was possibly broke into and were getting threats of disposal of our property in order to cover their butts for our stuff getting broke into. Not only that but we got several real shitty threatening emails regarding our stuff and now with their shady actions regarding our property we were yesterday informed I have the beginning stages of lung cancer. Thank you for taking sentimental property and using a break-in coverage as a threat to dispose of our property and personal items collectors items etc so what did we do to deserve this nothing I don't understand what the heck and why we never got to return phone call regarding anything except for s***** email after s***** email after s***** email threatening emails and I have them all and I will no problem posting them I'm most definitely will read more

As others said, worst rental place I've used in Lincoln, and I've used several. They want you to sign everything electronically with your phone rather than just signing a piece of paper. They aren't pleasant, at times, either. They act like renting a space is like APPLYING FOR A MORTGAGE. I get the impression that there are psychological issues with the staff. However, despite their obsession with detail, they are still disorganized and mess thigns up. Worst of all...they have you fill out an online review for services BEFORE they allow you to rent from them. This is because they know that most people would give them a 1 star review if they knew how bad they were. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. Being an out of state student at UNL, I needed a place to store some belongings for the summer. We rolled the dice on this place and it ended up being the jackpot. Amy was extremely helpful and can't thank her enough! I rented my first storage locker from StorageMart at 6101 Cornhusker Hwy. I was informed that insurance would cover any damage to my locker or the contents of my locker. Less than one week after moving in, I got a phone call StorageMart saying that they had significant flooding and that I should come check out my locker and begin dealing with the insurance. I was expecting that maybe an inch or two of water had gotten into my locker. When I got there, I could see that the waterline from the flooding on my locker was over two feet high. Other peoples' lockers had over 3 feet of water. The entire area had been turned into a lake. This meant that literally everything of value in my locker was ruined. I talked to the very nice lady at the front who informed me that damages due to flooding are considered an 'act of God' and that insurance would not cover it. Since I was only one of about 50 angry customers, I decided that yelling at the nice lady would do no good, so I left. I was told to call the regional manager to leave a complaint. I left a voicemail, informing the manager that all of my stuff was ruined, but my call was never returned. I later found out that I would not be charged rent for the next couple of months, and since I had nowhere else to put any of my stuff, I continued renting for the locker for the year, hoping that some of my musical equipment would be salvageable at the end. About 6 months later, during another common Nebraska downpour, I was informed that there was significant flooding again. During my single year at StorageMart, my rent was increased from about $50 per month to $70. I understand that the area has not been setup to handle rain properly, for that I don't blame StorageMart. What I DO blame them for is that they never thought it was necessary to mention to me that flooding is common and to keep everything over two feet above the ground in the locker. After all, since it happened twice in less than a year, the major flooding is clearly a common occurrence. All it would have taken to save all of my possessions would have been a heads-up. I am completely let down by StorageMart. Overall, I spent over $700 during the year to have my $2,000 worth of stuff ruined by flooding. Be aware, this storage facility may be cheap, but it is certainly not worth it. read more
