Terrible customer service!…read more I went to this location before July 4th and was scheduled to have a hitch installed. When I arrived, they told me there was no one to do the install. I was disappointed, but decided I would come back when they weren't busy, understanding it was a holiday weekend. Then I came in today to schedule the hitch install for a future date. Luis was there and started to take my information. Then after he had my number and email, a man was behind me who needed to return a rental truck. He left me to help them, in the middle of my transaction. He asked a lady to help him, but she said she could not and went to the back. He came back and I had to give him all my information again. As we were going through it, the couple who were returning the truck came back in and because they were told they had to return the truck to the same location they rented it from. Luis jumped up and started to talk to them, ignoring me again. Despite social distancing , the lady came right behind me and was too close for comfort. I finally had enough and decided to leave. Poor customer service and no measures in place despite the pandemic. The location is in a run down part of town too and smelled like weed. Do not go to this location!

Our tires were wearing unevenly on our 5th wheel camper, and Schow's was recommended to us by the…read morelocal Camping World. Shane Brown got us in right away, and Dennis soon diagnosed the problem. The axles were badly misaligned, bushings were missing or torn up, a brake pad was nearly gone and some wheel bearings were bad. This was all shown to us. Shane facilitated some warranty coverage, and we were back on the road! The crazy part is that we just had the wheels and bearings looked at by two RV repair businesses, and they saw nothing wrong except the bearings needed replacement! We aren't local, but if we are ever within a few days drive of Idaho Falls, rest assured that we will be coming back for any wheel or axle work on our camper. Shane, Dennis, and the crew were a pleasure to work with, and we highly recommended their business.

Apparently plugging two connectors together and screwing in ​a grounding wire​ is worth 60 bucks. And they broke a Styrofoam insert in my car.

After renting two Penske trucks in 2020 to drive from CO to ID, I agreed to drive a U-Haul from ID…read moreto CO a friend rented. I was surprised at the difference in experiences. Both companies swapped trucks on us at the last minute, but the similarities stop there. Both Penske trucks had cruise control, power door locks and an auxiliary input on the radios. The U-Haul truck was void of such creature comfort amenities. 700 miles of freeway driving without cruise control and music from a personal device made the trip seem even longer than it was. Advantage Penske. Penske rentals are unlimited miles. U-Haul sets some arbitrary maximum and charges $.50 per mile overage. Advantage Penske. A huge U-Haul oddity is the way they handle the fuel used. Penske has a 'full out' - 'full in' policy, U-Haul has a 'whatever' policy. You could pick up the truck with NO FUEL in the tank, and the have to guess how much to put in the tank to arrive with the same amount as when picked up. At $4 per gallon, one does not want to return a truck with an extra 10 or 15 gallons left over. Advantage Penske. When the U-Haul truck was picked up, the interior was filthy. We had to wipe down the surfaces with disinfectant wipes. The steering wheel alone used a full wet-wipe. The Penske trucks were delivered cleaned. Advantage Penske. As a heads-up, check the nylon straps holding the car tires to a dolly. Part way into the trip, one had completely fallen off. The staff had connected the car to the dolly, but the straps must not have been fully tightened for the strap to slide off the tire. They charge $25 for this 'service'. Epic FAIL. Now for the U-Haul drop off location in CO...unattended gated lot. What good is having posted business hours if there is no one there anyway? Cannot return a truck until you call and wait 20-30 minutes for someone to show up. They believe truck rentals are passive income. Same owner has multiple unmanned locations. Advantage Penske. The U-Haul price started lower than Penske, but U-Haul then nickeled and dimed my friend to the point that it ended up more than my Penske rentals. Again advantage Penske.
