The new contractor said the floor was not dry enough the first time it had been refinished. The new contractor said he could do th e job($400) but would like to make sure he got the right color stain. I tried calling Rick Burris again...still no return call. This new contractor knew Rick and he tried calling...he finally got a response today (the day he is refinishing my floor). So, I know I was calling the correct number because I checked! Although I like the look of my refinished floor in the rest of my house, the kitchen really did need to be redone and I don't appreciate a contractor who does not stand behind the work he does. The workers came over on time and were very nice, but apparently there was some question about the integrity of the hoop itself. They installed it without asking any questions, and after they left I noticed the hoop could only extend to a max of 6 feet tall, rendering it useless. Why wouldn't you talk to me before you cemented it in? Now I'm out $225 and all they offered to do is cut it down and I got the reply " we did what you asked us to do." * update: the "Fabulous Mr. Fix It" still hasn't removed the hoop as promised.
