Bid for hurricane shutter replacement. 1st one lasted 30 yrs so went with them again!! Reasonable cost in a competitive market!

While the warranty for the hurricane screens are warranted, we have paid almost 1,000 dollars for labor over the past few years. Wondering if it's a way that the company generates income by suggesting that screens need replacement (for free) except labor which was supposed to be $330 but ended up at $660 read more

We bought Hurricane Screens for our lanai so that we could drag in all the furniture etc by the pool and keep it from blowing around. Also to protect our two doorways which are original. We didn't get to test them out this year, but I'm not complaining! The surprising thing occurred during the recent cold spell. I brought a bunch of seedlings and young plants in and closed the screens. When I went out in the morning, it was 40ish outside, but 60 degrees inside the screened area. Pretty great! They did an excellent job, but take a very long time from contract to starting. read more

I had installed hurricane windows last year with Storm Smart. I had an issue today that went very smooth with their customer service. I pulled the window inward to clean the exterior and the window fell out of the frame. It was extremely heavy. I called customer service and was told my info was being sent to the window manager Cezar Benavides and he will get back to me. An hour later he called and said he could come by in an hour. He came when he said and put it back in place in 10 minutes. I explained that I now know I cannot clean the window like that. I have to clean it from the outside. I asked then why does it have the feature of the lever if not for cleaning purposes? He said it is for servicing. I said I was not told that upon installation and he said he will bring that up at the next meeting. I fully recommend this company! So happy with their customer service! It's so rare these days. My storm Shutters worked very well during two Hurricanes which pummeled Florida this summer. They held up well, protected my lanai and screens, and helped to keep that whole area neat! They were pricey, but the quality was evident!!! read more

Poor quality control and communication from this provider. Ordered windows on 3/30/25 and still waiting for one window and two panes to be installed due to poor construction. Damage should have been noticed at the factory before being sent out for installation but was not. Keep being told they are scheduled for production and replacement. Original installation was at the end of June. All the windows are not fully installed as they have not been inspected yet due to waiting for replacement of the damaged components. Would not recommend this company at this point. read more

it took 4 weeks to get an appointment.. Then the day of the appointment arrives , appointment confirmed for three oclock. Then at 2:57 i receive an email that the saleman was running 15 minutes behind. at 3:40 i text the salesman and he texts that he sold a deal and now he would be late, or reschedule for Saturday, then a text that he was booked for Saturday. I called the office Tammy apologized and said she would call me back. Which she did and said that the salesman would be able to get to my house sometime friday but he had sold a deal. Imagine if after purchasing their product and you have an issue, how long and how many days off of work would you have to spend to correct any issue. I cant speak to the product but their process is a disaster. read more

Upon inquiry I heard from a rep, I'll call him Loser Joke (LJ). He showed up late for our appointment and seemed a bid "off." Not sure if he was under the influence but certainly not accommodating as a salesperson. He practically ignored me and focused his attention on my wife. Moreover, as we we're providing details on our home, he showed my wife an estimate for protecting only our lanai... When I asked about the rest of our home including our front entrance, LJ replied he'd get back to us that night with a full home quote. Two days later we still hadn't heard back from LJ so I called the North Port sales manager, I'll call him Failure (F). Despite leaving a detailed message with an office rep, F never returned my call. After reading the other reviews, perhaps Loser Joker and Failure did me a favor by not responding. Hopefully they go out of business soon and save others great misery. read more

We were happy with the Storm Screens after the installation. The product was as ordered, the installers did a great job, every thing met and was beyond our expectations. Then you hit the ball out of the park, not once but twice. Two hurricanes within two weeks and the Storm Screens protected all of our lanai furniture and plants. With the Storm Screens in the down position the enclosed space has increased our usable living space when the weather is inclement. You have a great product that is well worth the expense. Service after the sale is really bad. Five years ago our hurricane screen with remote was installed, and we were very happy. We even recommended the company to friends who used Storm Smart. However, we will not recommend the company again (not because of an inferior product), but because the service after the sale is difficult. It took a while for a scheduler to call me. After I did get on the schedule, I now have to wait 6 weeks for a service rep to come to fix the problem. And the big Risk is I had to pay $165 today to insure that they will show up!!!! I paid the $165 for service that I have not yet received. What else can I do?? Needless to say, I will not recommend Storm Smart to friends in the future. read more

Having same problem with a curtain for second time and unit is less than a year old. When I called for service, the person taking information didn't appear to know how the curtain works, would ask me questions, put me on hold and then finally said a case would be opened and I would be contacted by phone or Email to set up an appointment. That was what my phone call was intended to do, not be referred for another phone call or Email. I did not receive a call to set up an appointment and the Email I received was a request to submit a review of Storm Smart. For the money you pay for these curtains, quality and service should be top notch. read more

Well, everything started off pretty well with my sales rep, although there was a lot of confusion regarding my credit card at somehow he or your office rue it up as was eventually found out The pricing was good we decided to go with it and that's when most of the problems started. It was an incredibly long time between appointments and particularly town approval of the work done. But the worst part is one. I requested a call to my sales agent multiple times and he steadfast refused to return my calls or speak to me to this day. Recently had a hurricane screen installed by Storm Smart. I preferred their product over the other vendors I contacted because of quality and presentation of the product. The estimate was presented professionally and easy to understand, followed up questions were answered promptly and installation was scheduled and completed as promise. The technician installed the screen and explained how to operate the screen electrically via remote and manually via the rod. Cost of installation and product were reasonable, customer service and product quality excellent. I would do business with them again. read more

While Storm Smart had some office scheduling issues, the product and follow up is good. I love both the accordion shutters and auto fabric screens. The installer was very talented. Post install adjustments were needed and SS was responsive and fixed the issue. This product gives me some assurance our home will be safe while we are away. read more

Typical Florida contractor. Did a reasonably good job on the initial installation. They were supposed to return to put the trim pieces on after the inspection and never came back... even though I left numerous voicemails and sent numerous emails. Once they got their money they were done with me. I put the trim pieces up myself after I was sick of waiting for 3 months and no response from them.
