The project included enclosing an office by building a ten-foot-high wall with French doors, adding electrical and new lighting, tearing out and retrofitting kitchen cabinets, replacing recessed lighting, installing chandeliers, replacing plumbing fixtures, painting, and handling a variety of punch-list items. Within 24 hours, Roman came to my house, took excellent notes, and I immediately felt comfortable with him. He's humble, down-to-earth, and the kind of person you actually want working in your home. The very next day he returned with a highly competitive and detailed bid, estimating the job would take about 7 days. Not only did he deliver exactly what he promised -- he finished in 6 days -- but the real reason I'm writing this review is the quality of the workmanship. Roman and his assistant Matteo (another great guy) showed up every day with a great attitude and were ready to work. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail are truly impressive. Everything on my list was completed to perfection. They also went above and beyond to accommodate multiple changes along the way. I was so happy with their work and professionalism that I asked them to stay on and complete additional projects beyond the original scope. From the very beginning, I told Seth and the team that timing was my number one priority because this is my home office and I needed to get back in quickly. They acknowledged this repeatedly, so I moved forward trusting they understood. Seth came for a site visit on January 19. After that, I heard absolutely nothing for more than two weeks. I had to follow up multiple times, and during that silence I had to keep pushing back my mold contractor because Yes, I Can Fix That simply never responded. When they finally got back to me, they said they could not provide pricing or add me to their schedule until the wall was open. Yet other contractors had no issue providing ballpark estimates, and they were ready to schedule immediately. This was the first red flag. When the quote did arrive, it was shockingly high -- roughly three times the cost of the mold repair. I questioned the pricing, and they said it represented the absolute worst‑case scenario. I then asked for a best‑case estimate so I could understand the full range. Another major red flag: They refused to put me on the schedule unless I selected a proposal and paid a deposit, even though I had made it crystal clear that timing was my top concern. No one told me that the proposal I chose would impact the schedule or available time they had set aside. Based on my mold contractor's input, I did not expect a worst‑case scenario, so I approved the smaller proposal so the work could start. That's when everything fell apart. Seth told me he suddenly didn't have enough time to complete the project and could only work for one or two days before disappearing again with no idea when he could return. This completely contradicted everything discussed earlier. Several items he and I talked about during the site visit weren't even included in either proposal, and when I followed up, he said he simply didn't have time to do them. Let me repeat: timing was the very first thing I made clear to this company, and they still acted as if it didn't matter. To make things even more frustrating, Seth never provided an arrival time. If he was truly limited on time, you would expect him to start early. Instead, I waited around and he didn't show up until after 9 a.m. I cannot speak to the quality of their workmanship because they never got far enough for me to evaluate it. But based on everything I experienced: This company is unreliable, extremely overpriced, disorganized, and operates like a bait‑and‑switch. There are many reputable, transparent, and responsive handymen and contractors in the area. I am happy to recommend several who provided prompt estimates, clear communication, and honest timelines.
