Staff knowledge of their products is also medium with a few who clearly know their stuff but the majority just having rather basic knowledge in electronics but rather more training in how to upsell customers. I did hear some rather dubious advice given to other customers and perhaps even one or things which rather ummm stretched the truth I like to look at products firsthand and then check the online price before using that price to haggle them down. If I don't get the desired discount, I then go and get it online but I try to offer high street retailers the chance to earn my pound first as I like to support them if I can do so. And yes, you can haggle at a big retail chain Oh and another thing - you can get much better deals on PCs not at PC World. He went off to get the correct one and the original salesman apologised and knocked a tenner off the price for all the inconvenience caused to me. Only shop here if the price is irresistible and I suggest you buy it click and collect so at least you'll know that the item is in store.

He answered all my questions ( I'm not very computer literate ) & at no time did he show any irritation or impatience. Helal explained everything in an easy to understand way. I've noticed that CeX has been expanding slowly but surely. I'm not sure if this is a sign of the tough economic climate or whether frequent product cycles for modern technology like mobile phones just means people have a lot of spare electronic equipment lying around these days they can sell for cash It's nice to see that they are very strict if you'e selling them stuff by doing identity checks - this discourages people from fencing stolen equipment through their stores. The equipment is then reconditioned if necessary and put on display. The store itself provides a lot of eye candy and probably uses enough power to light a rural settlement of computer hackers bent on world domination. The two men before us waited for ages, a customer had been on the phone for two hours and had gotten nowhere, and we ourselves must have waited at least an hour and a half. Not one person asked what we were there for, nor was there any kind of organisational system or order. After an epically long wait with zero service, we talked to an employee named Ana and told her what we were there for (simply to pick up a new phone) and she promptly came back and said there was none. After coming out again, she said there was a white iPhone 12 with no name - not ours. Then, we pointed out that that same morning we'd talked to a male on the phone who had confirmed our phone was at that specific store. It was, quite obviously, the male employee at the store (same voice, same accent, only man working that day). He denied having spoken to us. They said it would arrive at some point but they couldn't tell us when. After an insincere apology from Ana, we left. Would recommend elsewhere. That being said, we came back the next day and were helped better - though Ana said clearly and loudly she was not vaccinated and did not plan to be, and was wearing no mask. However, we were not helped by her that day. Thank you to the lady who did help us, whose name I've forgotten (sorry!).
