It was nice and cool on a hot day yesterday when I was on the treadmill and the same this morning when I went to lift. Very clean, new equipment, varied equipment, the weights were all arranged appropriately (VERY important to my brain), friendly and easy check in process, nice spin studio, seemingly a good class offering, and so not crowded at all. Having belonged to or visited gyms all over the country, this is by far one of the best. I sure hope to be back soon while my hotel is still under construction:)

Option 1 Fitness has earned a five star review review for the following reasons: 1. Cleanliness is kept top priority. This is the cleanest gym I have ever worked out in. 2. The cardio equipment, machines, free weights (Dumbbells 5-150, bumper plates, etc) are all brand new. The machines are oiled weekly and are very smooth. 3. They let you lift heavy and use chalk! Too many gyms nowadays frown upon members making noise, lifting heavy, etc. 4. 24hr access 365. ***There are many different class options as well (functional fitness, kickboxing, hooping, Zumba, step) many of which are included in the most basic membership. ***Tanning is also included These are starred because they are not of interest to me but I felt they should be included in the review. Well, thanks to the donations of two clients of the Hogan Sports Center who defrayed the cost of renovations, the Hogan Sports Center gym is now brand new, with new equipment, new machines, new weights, and a totally new outlook. In addition, the student athletes who frequently were trying to do their team workouts while half the town was at the weight room, they now have their own varsity gym, located in what was one of the racketball courts downstairs, where they can drop weights without shaking the building. The staff is absolutely awesome. The offerings are also amazing, olympic size pool, yoga, Peloton, indoor running track, you name it. One totally complete facility.
