43 Degrees North is definitely the place to be if you are looking for a gym in the Concord area. The facility itself is beautiful and very spacious and they have a wide variety of equipment and machines to try out. If you're just getting started on your fitness journey and aren't quite ready to workout on your own yet, there are tons of classes to try out that are all included in the compass membership. They have spin classes, yoga, barre and much more! The classes cater to all skill levels and the instructors are excellent at helping you out and showing you alternative exercises if you are unable to do something. When you are finished your workout, you can stop by the front desk to order a protein shake (which are all vegan and use fresh fruit!) or buy a Celsius energy drink. I also want to mention that the locker rooms are so nice and I try to shower there as often as I can because the shampoo and conditioner make my hair so shiny and soft. Before joining 43, I had never really worked out besides at sports practices, so I was pretty nervous to get started. However, I was immediately welcomed by all of the instructors as well as the other members and felt so comfortable in class. The first class I took was a cycle class and the instructor, Lauren, immediately came over to me to introduce herself, grab me a sweat towel and show me how to adjust the bike so that I would be comfortable during class. She really eased my nerves and checked on me through out the class to make sure I was doing well! Since then, I have tried every class that 43 Degrees has to offer and have loved them all! I LOVE this gym and the people who work there. My husband and I found this gym about 4 years ago. We both work out there as often as we can with the friends we've met. Our 5am peeps. I've uploaded a photo of my push-ups this morning on the bosu ball. (Note how amazingly clean this place is from the photo!) The reason for this photo is I want to convey just how wonderful the owner Crystal and her trainers Matt and Paula are. Less than one year ago I was injured and broke both my wrists. Crystal not only reached out but sent me a gift from her and the staff. You can imagine how long the recovery would be after an injury like that. I came back after a couple months but I was so tentative about putting a lot of weight on my wrists. I spoke to Crystal about my hope to get back into shape. She set me up with 2 trainers- Matt and Paula.I realize not everyone needs this level of commitment but I knew I needed some help if I was gong to come all the way back. Matt and Paula pushed me in a very safe way. They built me up slowly and inspired me to give it my all! These people care! I'm doing burpees with a bosu ball now and I'm leg pressing more weight than I ever thought possible. The locker room is almost spa like. They provide fresh towels every day and fluffy bath mats. Who has ever been provided a fresh clean bath mat at a gym? We are greeted every morning when we arrive. It's friendly without being intrusive. The people who show up at 5am are serious about their work outs. This gym has become a part of our lives. read more

I have been a member of 43 Degrees, a woman-owned business, for the last 7 years. Every instructor takes time to get to know their clients and offers many accommodations to make each move doable. Even when you come in to just do an independent workout- if an instructor comes in they offer assistance and different ways to use the equipment. 43 offers smaller class sizes so the instructor can see and adjust clients if needed and unlike the bigger classes at other gyms, the classes at 43 are more intimate. It's a great place to go if you want to get stronger or try something new as there is zero judgment. Each member of the gym has a fob to get into the building and there is a secure code to get into the actual gym. It is VERY clean and organized and there are showers and bathrooms stocked with everything you need. I can't recommend this gym enough if you are looking for a place that has no extra fees, no pressure, and a place where you can tailor your workout to fit your needs any time of the day. read more

Google review I love 43! I've been a member since they first opened. When you walk into 43, the staff always greet you by name. It's a real family type atmosphere. My favorite class is Party 43 because I love a choreographed cardio, but there are tons of fun classes to chose from. Or if you want to get a workout in on your own schedule, there are lots of machines, weights and other equipment available. I always make sure I use the hydro massage every week.The best part about this gym is that instructors go above and beyond! Whether there's a song you'd like them to choreograph, an area you'd like to target, or an injury that needs modification in class, they are here to help you achieve your fitness goals! 43 Degrees North Athletic Club is such a pleasure to visit. I'm there 6-7 times a week because of the variety of classes and great equipment. It's always clean and the team that works there and instructors are so friendly and greet you by name and with a smile. Classes are challenging and fun so you can do something different every day. You can take spin, barre, yoga, high/low, strength and cardio classes and I know there are more than what I mentioned.The showers and locker rooms are like going to a spa and I like using the sauna and hydro massage to treat myself after a good workout. I've been a member since the club opened and going there always makes me feel I've made progress in my health journey. I couldn't do it without the team at 43!! read more

I have been a member at 43 Degrees North Athletic Club for almost 3 years now and they have become my workout family. They are very welcoming and attentive to my needs. The facility and the equipment are top notch. They have remained strict and consistent with the new health guidelines due to Covid. They even provided recorded and live videos when the Covid pandemic was at its worst. The trainers are wonderful; they are very knowledgeable and make helpful modifications for different levels of athletic ability and due to possible injuries members might have. They keep things fun and offer different challenges and events to keep members motivated and engaged. Overall they are a 5 star gym that I continue to recommend to family and friends. read more

There are a variety of classes to take at various times to meet everyone's different schedules (cycle, barre, HIIT style, yoga, dance, and more) as well as plenty of equipment to use. Busy schedule?
