We were lucky on timing and there wasn't a long line, but I have seen it get pretty busy. We also had checked the place out on Yelp, so we had an idea of what scene and outfits we wanted to wear. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are little dressing rooms where you can change and they give you baskets to hold all your things, while you're getting photographed. They help you with all your finishing touches and to make the outfits flattering. You have to go in there knowing you're going to be spending some money. It's not cheap, but it's also not something you do very often. We decided to go with two pictures we liked as a couple and an individual shot of each of us in the retro coloring. We opted out of getting any additional frames or mattings. Not only were we flying with limited space, but we were able to find some back home that fit our photos and decor of our place a little better. It's a great idea for a family photo or couples, so I definitely recommend checking them out. I'd totally go back and do another backdrop-- maybe we'll be dangerous pirates next time. I'll just have to convince my boyfriend, since he's not a huge fan of dressing up.

If she had slowed down even ten minutes I probably would have enjoyed it and purchased more photos. Maybe I just got her on a bad day but it wasn't good service at all. She made us feel like we were a burden to be there. And no the photos were not great quality. She took it from one angle only and it didn't look great from that angle.

Staying at the Causey Mansion Bed and Breakfast was such a great experience for us! We arrived…read morelate, and didn't have a chance to check out the space our first night. We stayed in the "Sussex" room which had plenty of space, a clawfoot tub, and a huge king sized bed. There is a very loud fire siren, and a train that go nearby so my first night's sleep wasn't the best - however, I don't want that to be a reason for a lower rating. The mansion is beautiful inside and out. Antiques everywhere, so much history. And the breakfast was so much better than I could have ever imagined! Jan really gets the guests to mingle, and socialize - he is a great guy. His husband, Joey, is also a fantastic host and made the delicious breakfast for us each day. Staying in October meant that we were able to enjoy some of the fall foliage, and even ate breakfast in the courtyard. If we ever come back to this area, there is no doubt in my mind that we would stay at Causey Mansion - it is a gem!
