There are retro pictures on the walls and bicycles hanging from the roof. Apart from that it is pretty basic with no fancy edges, just a chalkboard with 10-ish craft beers from across the globe on tap. I had an amazing IPA from New Zealand which is one of the best beers I have had on this trip to Copenhagen. Definitely worth a look if you like new beers and want to get of the beaten track. I was dragged here after a hearty meal at the Ethiopian restaurant on the same street further down Nørrebrogade and this place is just perfect. I like that there are more and more craftbeer bar in Copenhagen that gives no excuse to drink a bad beer. They have their beer list on the blackboard by the bar and you could get a taste of what you will order, and since it's called Ølsnedkeren, they make their own bottled beer as well. Too bad I had to hurry home because I was drinking on a Wednesday, but I would definitely come back to this place again.

You go upstairs from the street level to get in and then you are in the cocktail lounge. You go down a very tight small semi circular staircase once you're inside to the craft beer bar (seriously use the hand rail and take your time these stairs are skinny!). We grabbed a beer from downstairs (they had a great tap list). Then headed upstairs for the tasting. The Cigar City tasting was great and lead by brewery production manager. He took his time to walk us through each beer and ask questions before moving on to the next beer. We were able to taste a whole de range of styles including some rare beers. So if you're a craft beer lover or a craft cocktail lover they got ya covered.

The owners Alex, an American, and his Danish wife Kristina have created a wonderful microbrewery bar with an amazing atmosphere in the heart of Østerbro, in a beautiful part of Copenhagen. The brews are ever changing. Always tweaked a bit from batch to batch. All their beer is brewed right in the back room for all to see. Three different taps to try, and bottles can be purchased as well. Alex is always great at explaining processes and ingredients. Well worth a visit when in Copenhagen. Great beer! Skål!
