Great massages from Sue and Jasmine. I like to put names since you can request your masseuse with their tool. SPA ENVIRONMENT: Clean, light-filled house, calming, quiet. FRONT DESK: Friendly as could be. SCHEDULE: They were running a few minutes late, and I'm not entirely sure I got a few minutes extra - but not 100% sure on that....I wished they had acknowledged it to say "hey you get your full time even though we are late" which is minor & I share here, no reason to deduct a star. ;-D MASSAGES: Jasmine listened well, adjusted as necessary, and was clearly skilled. Single best foot massage in my life -- and i'm normally not crazy for foot massages. Susan did a fantastic job as well - (My husband went to her) and he also said it was the best foot massage of his life. Funny right? He also loved how Susan massaged his face - enough that he commented to me afterwards how relaxing & enjoyable it was. We usually go for 90 minutes, couldn't schedule and went with 60. The masseuses each did a super job covering everything in that time. Jasmine did not massage my hands at all - and I thought that was a miss, hands get tired with all the work we humans do....again perhaps because of the 60 minutes. Whereas I realized some areas would be truncated due to the shorter time I did not expect it as a miss altogether. This is all minor. THE MASSAGES were fantastic, the STAFF couldn't be lovelier, and I AM SO GRATEFUL to them for bringing much- needed relaxation to us. THANK YOU & for sure BOOK WITH STOWE VILLAGE MASSAGE. Treated myself to a one hour relaxation massage and my experience was top notch from the moment I stepped inside the door until I exited the building. Mary Langevin is lovely and a talented masseuse. She listened carefully to my input regarding areas that are sensitive for me (post major back surgery). Sixty minutes and a lot of drool later, I left feeling rejuvenated & relaxed. I recently went to Stowe Village Massage. I thought cupping would be relaxing. NO IT WAS NOT. Do NOT GET THIS AT ALL. It was very painful. It hurt so much. NOT VERY RELAXING AT ALL. Not worth $150.00 It was maybe worth $10.00. I have been to spas several times for massages and other treatments. Nothing as bad and painful as this (cupping). Please do not waste your money on this. On a scale from 1-10 It was a 2. The massage therapist was very nice. Short Massage at the end was so so. No EO used on the massage. I was not relaxed at all. My sister, sister-in-law, and I unanimously agreed that this may have been THE BEST massage experience we've had in the US. 1) Booked appointments through the Yelp app. Could not have been easier! I guess if I were to fault them for anything, it would be that I couldn't get through by phone. But, that really wasn't an issue since the online system was so easy. 2) We were very warmly welcomed (by name!) when we came in to the massage center. Everyone was so friendly and kind and welcoming! After getting settled with bathroom breaks and beverages, we met our therapists and went to our separate rooms. 3) Our therapists REALLY listened to what we wanted. I'm used to telling the therapist, but still getting a more or less 'standard' massage. In this case, she spent a noticeable amount of time and effort dealing with my problem areas before continuing on. 4) The cherry on top is that the price is fairly reasonable for a one-hour massage in a tourist destination. Nothing beats a relaxing massage after a long 4-hour drive from Boston to Vermont. We arrived 15 mins. late to our appointment (25 mins. including: re-parking our car to the correct lot, completing the forms, and undressing). The staff were welcoming and accommodating; they extended our end time for 10 mins., fair enough. It was our first time getting *hot stone* massages and I'm in LOVE! Who knew laying and sliding a bunch of stones on your back would help you relax? The smooth river stones were soaked in hot water and then massaged over your body with oil, producing a warm (but not burning) sensation. It was a therapeutic massage (combination of Swedish and deep tissue). I managed to fall asleep and even had a good dream during the session! Towards the end, both hot and cold stones were used simultaneously - this was optional, but I recommend trying it for a soothing and stimulating experience. My therapist Kate was thoughtful to dim the lights even more for me and adjust the headrest to my comfort. She focused mostly on my back (which I requested) and an unusual long time on my calves (not sure why). My bf's therapist, Shoshana was excellent, in his opinion. The price ($115 per person for 75 mins.) was totally worth it, esp. compared to the rates (almost double!) at Stowe Mountain Lodge. SVM is located within the Green Mountain Inn complex = OK to park in the lot across the street. read more

I had a prenatal massage in August 2013. I was in my third trimester of pregnancy. My hips were sore, so i had been looking forward to some relief. However, Iin addition to the hips, i had indicated other areas to focus on too. The masseuse never worked on my hips, perhaps because of poor time management or because I had to lay on my side. Although the masseuse's hand pressure was good, I was disappointed that my main concern, my hip soreness was not addressed,. I should have communicated better that the hips were the main priority. I would give them another try though. read more
