When I lived in Myrtle Beach years ago, Stox & Co. was my salon -- Stephanie always did a fantastic job on my hair! I would travel 30 minutes just to go and see her -- I ended up moving back to the DC area but have never forgotten my favorite salon. I was planning to get married May 2024 in Pawleys Island and there was no way I would go to anyone else, but Stox & Co. Leah is a fantastic coordinator and helped me out for our wedding day -- I was able to do a make-up trial a few days prior to the wedding and it was everything I had envisioned. Stox & Co. had the best ladies for hair + make up for my mother, mother-in-law, bridesmaids, and myself. They ended up even helping out with my brother hair prior to the wedding day of. Everyone's personality from up front to each stylist was so kind and warm. I cannot imagine my hair or make up any different on our wedding day and my family/girls felt the same about theirs! I've gone to both locations, Pawleys and Murrells Inlet, and both have the same great atmosphere along with great stylists. Katina is a pro with color and cuts. I'm very happy I found her! While sitting getting my hair done I always take note of cuts and colors for other patrons just to get ideas. They have customers in all age groups along with a wide variety of styles both short and long hair. I think that speaks highly of the quality in both salon locations. I cut my long hair off with a specific short haircut in mind. Even though I visited a salon three times, I was still unhappy with the look. I was in a bind and wanted my hair fixed, preferably before I left for Europe the next day. I didn't really think any salon would get me an appointment at such late notice, and especially not a five-star salon! Not only did Stox & Co. get me an appointment that afternoon, they really listened to what I wanted and they put me with a "short-hair specialist". Katina is definitely a pro at what she does! Had an appointment with Katina today to have my hair trimmed. I had been in NJ and gotten an asymmetrical haircut by my stylist that I see when I'm there. I wanted to keep an asymmetrical hair style that had basically grown out. Katina took the time to go over haircut options with me and we decided on one that I liked (but wasn't sure how it would turn out). I have fine hair with a weird, hard to deal with, hairline at the nape of my neck. She assured me this cut was perfect for fine hair and she was right! She did a fabulous job! A great spa! Quite modern and chi chi which I really like.I had a mini facial and eyebrow wax with Rachel and she was terrific. Eyebrows were not over waxed or trimmed and I felt so relaxed after the facial. During the facial when the mask was on, Rachel did an arm and shoulder massage. Lots of beauty therapists just leave the room during this time so this little extra was bliss! Premises are super clean and tidy. Great decor with dim lights and soothing music. I am in town only every so often for work and I needed a color and cut so someone recommended Stox & Co. I am glad they did and I am very glad my appointment was with Angie! She has talent and experience and that is hard to find now. I need someone that understands how to cut curly hair and can look at a person and recommend a cut and color that is complimentary. Angie is it! I continued to get so many compliments on what she did. Unfortunately for me, once I came back home I've had 3 different cuts/color by 3 different people and no one has been able to get even close to what Angie did.
