Pet parents, please don't be fooled by this "complimentary desk portrait" offer. Based on my…read moreexperience working with Kevin, I am highly skeptical of any positive reviews his business has. While the photography session itself is technically "free," be prepared to be subject to predatory conditions: you are required to pay a ~$150 "booking deposit" and sit through a mandatory follow-up Zoom appointment to actually get your portrait. The entire process was packed with passive-aggressive upselling, including an upfront warning that if I needed an additional Zoom meeting to finalize my portrait(s), there would be an extra $200 fee associated. He also insisted that I invite my significant other to the follow-up session to ensure that "all decision-makers" were present. This felt extremely patronizing and misogynistic, especially since I had already explained to him that I would be making the decision for my household and that additional input was unnecessary. During our follow-up Zoom call about a week after the session, Kevin spent a good part of the time stalling. After a frustrating 25 minutes of having to sit through Kevin's emotionally manipulative tactics, I let him know that I would need to leave the call early in 10 minutes and asked if we could expedite this process, at which point his "friendly"demeanor instantly changed. He told me that he would be keeping my deposit and charging me $200 to reschedule. I made it clear that I was no longer interested in his services, meaning there would be no need for an additional meeting, and asked for my deposit to be refunded. After a tense back-and-forth, Kevin reluctantly agreed to refund my money. While I understand that he blocked off an hour of his time, the stalling I experienced during my thirty-five minutes on the call felt like a setup to force me into that extra $200 meeting in hopes of selling me an overpriced, lackluster product. His constant claims of "not trying to sell me anything" while very obviously trying to sell me something were exhausting. This business relies on holding your deposit hostage, stalling to pressure you into additional fees/products, and using emotional blackmail over your pet. Save your time and stay far away!!

Kevin was welcoming and very kind, and making us feel right at home. He went through all the steps with us, and he did not put any pressure on us whatsoever. Most importantly, he was so patient with our dogs! Our frenchie was a handful, yet Kevin stood calm and collected, determined to get the best shots, and he did! Kevin is truly a professional! This guy was prepared; he had treats and toys ready. He captured beautiful moments that will last us a lifetime and more. I'd recommend Kevin to anyone who is looking for beautiful portraits of just you and your furry loved one or your whole family. Kevin takes pride in his work, and you can tell. 10 out of 10 highly recommend! Thank you, Kevin!

We contacted him by phone call and explained that due to the Coronavirus, we had to change our entire wedding plans for our family and friends safety. He was touched by our circumstances and was kind enough to be willing to work around our budget. That act of kindness made us appreciate him. However, what made us appreciate him even more was his willingness to go beyond what was expected from him. On the day of our wedding, he was very enthusiastic and friendly. He got along very well with all of our family, friends, and guest. Jeptha was very respectful of our church wedding ceremony and managed to get even my dad who barely smiles, to cheese bigger than I've ever seen. He captured all the beautiful, heartful moments along with the happy and good times in both the ceremony and reception. He has a fantastic eye for beautiful shots, like the end photos we took in the middle of the road in Chinatown. His photos are unique and he has a signature way to stand out among the sea of photographers that exist today. He was so easy to work with and we couldn't be much happier to have had him be a part of our memorable wedding celebration. We give him so much credit for all the work he does. One last thing, - our wedding was 2/26 from 2pm-8pm and we received a link to all of our pictures the morning of 2/28. Talk about being fast with the turnaround!!! We were so impressed with his mastery that we did not hesitate to share the photos with all of our family and friends. I highly recommend Jeptha for all of your photography needs! Their portfolio was amazing and they possess tremendous talent in their field. The Alvarados are a husband and wife team. We worked with Jess only. At first it was akward for us because my fiance and I have never taken professional photos before and did not know what to do. She put us at ease, was laid back, professional and down to earth. She showed us what to do for great poses and had great ideas for pictures. When we saw our pictures, it was awesome! The best photos and editing I have ever seen. We will definitely book her again for the wedding and look forward to working with her in the future!

We only did engagement pics and had 2 locations: China Town and Waikiki Beach. The pics came out GREAT--magazine quality. We couldn't believe that was us in the pictures. Makes me want to get married again just so I have an excuse to hire him. Btw, meetings are done at The Wedding Cafe' in Ward, which is also where you pick up your photo CD/whatever you ordered when it is ready. George is also FAST on processing. It only took a little over a week to get our photo CD! :D I uploaded a couple of our pics for a sample.

We settled on Magic Island. We understand why it's dubbed Magic Island. George made us look like movie stars. He spent the entire afternoon with us and took several hundred shots. All of the shots were beautiful, and I wish I could have uploaded all the pictures to this site to give you the wide range of his talent, skill, and "eye." We were so amazed that there wasn't an option for our wedding. We knew we needed to go to Eclat for our 7/7/07 wedding. We planned it a year and a half in advance, and we were glad we booked the best as the vendor list dwindled as the event drew closer. Knowing we had a spectacular photographer for our special day made it even more special. George arrived at dawn to capture our traditional tea pouring ceremony. He followed us back to our hotel, then to the church to take our formal pictures. We then went to UH for the semi-formal shots with the wedding party. Then on to our reception. He spent the entire day with us, over 12 hours! All the while professional, intuitive, flexible, willing to do what we wanted, but allowing for his personal creativity and ingenuity to flow. When the 1800 shots came back, he helped us design our own wedding album. Imagine having to comb through 1800 shots to find those 75 that capture your special day. But George did it. The album was AMAZING. The turnover rate for the album was quick. Everything was done in a professional manner. There is nothing but professionalism that is emitted from George. As our family grew, we asked him to shoot our parent's retirement present. Imagine coordinating a family shot for 16 people ages 1 through 69. It was CRAZY. But he suggested a non-studio style shot and recommended Moanalua Gardens. I wish I could show you those shots. Remarkable. Breath-taking. Timeless. Anyone can take pictures nowadays. With technology and "photos-for-dummies" apps people can take pictures. Few can capture memories, the raw emotions of happiness, belonging, and love. George delivers on these and more and in the most professional way. We are indebted to you for providing these invaluable time-capsules for our family.

Worth noting that our "set up" was doing a shoot on the waters of Honolulu Harbor with the the group on one boat, being photographed from another boat. This was NOT a normal shoot and presented many different challenges. The end result was several great shots we had to pick from. Well done. I would recommend Melissa for doing a shoot for anyone doing a similar outdoor set up. Timely, reliable, committed, friendly, and flexible.
