She coordinated with me and my husband leading up to the photoshoot, answered all of our questions, made suggestions on locations, and gave us all the information we needed to have our photo session be a success! Once on the beach she was such a pleasure to talk to just as a human being, and made taking pictures relaxing, she did such a great job with our two year old son (making him laugh) and me being pregnant (feeling comfortable in a see-thru flowy gown). She told me the pictures could take up to 2-3 weeks before we got them, and around week 4 I text her to make sure everything was okay, and the next day she sent us the pictures. I didn't want to to rush her because I did a lot of research on photographers and her aesthetic was so beautiful and worth waiting for, but was insanely relieved that all was good and gave us the pictures close to checking in. My only feedback to anyone working with Krystal is to give her the time she needs to do her job - it's worth every penny and minute! And when she delivered the pictures they were incredible. Where to begin with our experience with these folks - our experience far exceeded our expectations (which were high given the work we'd seen)! The kids in our family decided to surprise my parents with a family photo shoot. After shooting off a number of inquiries, Krystal was the quickest to respond, was incredibly kind and was willing to come to us in Ko'olina for something like $50 extra (we'd probably have paid $500 since we didn't have to drag 5 kids and 8 adults 45 minutes away!). She had a number of ideas for spots to shoot at, sent us ideas a few weeks ahead of time and made some great recommendations based on our situation and availability. The shoot was wonderful. Krystal and her husband (who's name escapes me) were a delight. They have kids of their own which always makes us feel better given the amount of energy our little dudes have! Nothing worse than having a photographer who feels like a 2 year old wiggling is unacceptable - Krystal was just the opposite. A couple times she went kind Mom mode, asked everyone to stop making noise at the kids and asked them to smile for her. I think we may try to get her as a babysitter as well! The pictures were wonderful! They took a ton of group, individual, family and action shots. In addition, her husband was shooting a video for much of the time and gave us a copy of an edited 5 minute video with the package....it may be our favorite thing now and certainly created an expectation for future photo shoots wherever we go. She spent a little over an hour with us and had everything edited and back to us in a couple weeks. The package included all our pictures in digital format and at a quality we could print at any size. We really appreciated that her work was the photography and editing rather than trying to sell us a $400 print that really cost her $30 to order. As far as photography sessions go, this was a zenith. Krystal did as great of a job as we've ever seen and did so with grace, kindness and professionalism. They made the whole experience easy, worked with us to get what we wanted and gave us an incredible set of memories that are going to be donning our walls for a long time. They one upped anything we've seen with the video addition and made the pictures accessible and easy to obtain. We've worked with a lot of photographers, good and bad, and Krystal and her husband are without a doubt the best photographers we've worked with - We can't recommend them highly enough! We worked with Krystal when we were on Oahu visiting. Everything about the process was wonderful. Krystal was very responsive when I contacted her and she was communicative in the days leading up to our session. (She sent very detailed directions to get to the site and provided her cell number for us to be in touch as needed.) Ahhhh! Krystal & her husband, Chad, were a dream to work with at my wedding this past weekend at KoOlina! It was supposed to be at Secret Beach, but an endangered monk seal trying to mate had other plans, nbd.. lol. We got married on the rocks and it was still just as beautiful. Where do I even begin? Well, first of all, I was going to go with another company, but I didn't receive the best customer service, or timely responses, and it just felt like a ripoff. Thankfully, with about 3.5wks to spare before my wedding, I stumbled upon Krystal on Yelp! I checked out her website/portfolio and fell in love with her work! Gorgeous pictures, I knew she was the photographer i wanted. I emailed her, hoping she wasn't already booked for 4.28.18. About an hour later, she responded and told me she was available.. fate! And that's super quick. She asked me a bunch of questions about my wedding day, what looks I was going for, and which shots I wanted to have and I already felt at ease and super excited. Krystal was very responsive and quick. When she knew she wouldn't be as responsive (like before a 12-14hr wedding work day), she let me know ahead of time. So professional! She would check in and just confirm things with me and she also answered all of my questions. When the big day came, Krystal and Chad were just so easy to work with and so easy going. They made sure I got the shots I wanted and also made sure I was okay during the whole process. Recently I worked with Krystal on a surprise proposal to my SO. Giving her 5 stars really feels like an understatement for how incredibly helpful and professional Krystal was throughout the process. I expected a great photographer based on her Yelp reviews and portfolio but I did not expect her to go above and beyond to make sure everything went exactly as planned. Not only did she wisely let me know that Waikiki beaches are too crowded for good engagement photos, she sent me a portfolio of incredible locations (that presumably only locals know about) including albums for what they looked like during different times of the day 2. We took a family vacation to Hawaii with our 1-year-old baby, and decided to do a photo shoot there, on our favorite beach, instead of doing traditional studio photos with him at home. Krystal's work speaks for itself, just look at her website! The colors, lighting, shots and angles are just breathtaking. Her locations are stunning, and we chose Lanikai because it has a special place in our hearts. Prior to visiting Oahu with our 10 month old boy, we wanted to have a photo shoot to capture our little guys first big vacation. Krystal was just amazing. Where do I begin? I'm not sure what someone wants to know when they read photographer reviews as its usually plain what you may expect when you view their portfolio/galleries. I will say this, the saying that "you get what you pay for" is definitely true in most cases and here as well. So I will tell you what I believe sets Krystal apart and makes her someone special in her craft and a photographer I would use again in a heartbeat. I normally do not spend money in photo sessions and at the time my wife and my last photo session was 10 years ago for our wedding. Yet I wanted to make this anniversary special with a trip to Hawaii, out of the Arizona deserts, with photos of us that would be memorable. When I reviewed Krystal's galleries, her reviews on different platforms, I was beyond amazed of the photos she captured of different couples. She is a master at her craft. My experience began earlier this year shortly after I booked airline tickets and lodging. I wanted to secure a photographer for this occasion. Never knowing a photographer's availability I emailed Krystal and she responded to me within a day. I told her what I wanted, to some near-specific shots of what I liked based on her galleries. I told her the occasion (anniversary), the fact my wife was unaware of the surprise trip, so basically I was pretty forward with what I wanted. She was fantastic in her responses, understood what I was aiming for and her communication was the best. She was so positive in this whole experience. I would ask very naive questions about the process and she would take the time to explain everything I asked in a clear and concise manner. As months passed she occasionally checked in until we finalized details right before the trip such as locations, times based on where we were staying to the shot location and even the projected local weather. Any ends that needed clarification got answered and I knew if I had any concerns she was a message away. When we arrived I had a day to settle, a day to swim with some sharks and the following morning was our shoot. She and her husband met with us for our sunrise session and we waited for the right moments and break in the clouds and rain. It was awesome. Krystal is better in person than our previous conversation. She is fun, energetic, with such a positive and helpful presence that it was so natural for my wife and I to pose for the camera. She offered any assistance needed for the shots we wanted and it was all down to earth and fun as we just went with the flow of everything and I focused on my bride. Her hubby was a great addition, not saying he comes along on all shoots, but I enjoyed his conversation as well. Lastly, photo session aside, we had plenty of time chatting and talking about what we were doing on the island and she like most locals was more than willing to give suggestions to add to our trip from hikes to take (which we did) to restaurants to try. They are such wonderful people. The post session process was under a month I believe but I will say that the photos are exactly what I wanted and beyond. All things of worth take time right? She captured my sunrise photos, my ocean surf photos, photos off cliffs with waves crashing in. All of that and more. Her communication after was just as high caliber and I have no doubt that if I reached out to her right now she would take my message with just as much care after the appointment than as she did before. She is that good. I'd recommended her to anyone and everyone visiting Oahu. If she traveled to the mainland and was doing mini-sessions here I would recommend her to you. When my wife and I travel back to Oahu and we are in the market for photos Krystal will be the one we call. I'm not an expert at the going Hawaii rate for photography sessions. I do not know the "market" for the region but I know people, quality and value in product and she is all three. If i could give her more stars i would! Having a destination wedding can be somewhat nerve-wracking to plan from email and phone and we could not have been more lucky to find Krystal! She was such a joy to work with and made taking photos so incredibly enjoyable! She is such an amazing photographer, getting into trees and braving the ocean for the best shot and really capturing our personalities individually and as a couple. We are so thrilled with the photos we have seen so far and would recommend her for anyone on the island! I guess we will just have to make it back to Hawaii for family photos once kidos come along! read more

Krystal and Chad were fantastic from initial booking through photo delivery - she was very responsive to email and easy to arrange things with from outside Hawaii ahead of time. We had a large group of family in from all over, including a newborn, two five year olds and two three year olds. They were great at handling the kids with tricks up their sleeves to get them to smile (bubbles, etc.) and were able to get great shots of all them. The entire shoot was very relaxed and she was able to get the many different combinations of groupings that we were looking for. Krystal had the photos to us in about three weeks and had provided over 300 edited photos at the end. Like the fellow reviewers mentioned, I would give her more than 5 stars if I was given the option! We asked her to take photos of our destination wedding in Honolulu, and it turned out to be one of the most delightful experiences in the whole wedding trip. Although we met her right before our wedding ceremony (literally 2 mins before hitting the aisle!) and we didn't communicate with her of what we wanted in our photos (though we should have), she read our minds and took photos we had been imagining! And those photos are absolutely gorgeous! We also found photos from so many great angles we didn't notice she was there during the ceremony, so she must have cat feet or something ;) No distraction, total pro! You can receive the website with bunch of great photo uploads and download. She also has services to print on traditional photo form, canvas etc. Everything in one stop! Lastly, I have to mention how easy to work with her. She's such a fun, friendly person but professional! I'm so glad to have found her and asked her to be our photographer! read more
