It was the first big girl project in this house, and one I WANTED to do, rather than had to do. Anyway, I hired JW McLeod because Cary came highly recommended. I saw his work first hand and was sure this guy would do great. Originally, he quoted me 4-5 days. It took 2 weeks, and it's still not finished. Cary did the majority of the work. His guys came in for the first day of demolition, so this is really about him not his crew. There are things I didn't know, but expected a licensed contractor to know. For example, he asked me if I wanted to tile all the way up to the ceiling, of course I said yes. However, I didn't know it should have had a framed border where the tile met the ceiling. He's the expert, he should have known. Now, FULL disclosure, I paid him BEFORE the job was done, so I know where I went wrong. Long story short, as you'll see in the pictures, I have an incomplete shower remodel. The shower door wasn't installed properly and it leaks. There is BLACK grout all over my walls and ceiling. There are holes in the dry wall needing repair. I told him he didn't have to paint because I hadn't picked a color yet. He was supposed to install a plexiglas shelf in the middle of the niche so I had more places to put my junk (typical girl with a lot of hair products). That's no excuse for leaving the room as he did. I sent him and email on the 23rd of November, after trying to contact him via phone for a week. His number is now out of service.

Our house is currently under contract to be sold, and needed some repairs done and he was very quick to give us a quote and let us know when he could get the job done. He repaired some wood rot we had up under our fireplace and kept us updated before, during, and after the repair. He explained to us pretty detailed how he'd do the job, which reassured me he knew what he was doing! He was able to come out within a day or two of us contacting him. Cary did more than enough to help us and extremely satisfied with the work he did for us. We would definitely use him again!

After making the deal the job was to start on 10/15/2020 and he was able to finally start it on the 21st. The workmanship was fair with a few short cuts that shouldn't have been taken. Deck should of been centered on rear door and it wasn't, the step was improperly built will need to be rebuilt and the walk thru should be 36"wide and isn't. I do not recommend this company for the reasons stated.
