This is my first experience with an autocare facility. Friendly, very accommodating staff, complete with snacks/shuttle service. Very transparent inspection findings complete with pictures and easy to understand explanations. They allow you to make all the decisions and are very timely in their responses. I had a major evap leak detected and repaired. When I got home the check engine light came back on. I showed up unannounced and although they were busy, they started working on my van immediately with no additional cost. get ready to have your car take forever to be repaired and get ready to lay down several hundred dollars to fix your minor issue. First you will get enrolled in their notification/text system with your appt there you will be greeted by folks on computers overly asking questions about your issue you will be given free coffee and popcorn but you'll pay for that later. I brought my car in to get a coolant hose fixed and looked at, which was already quite expensive. When I picked it up, I immediately noticed the check engine light was on--something that had never been an issue before. I took it back, and they admitted a part had been left loose by mistake. They fixed it, but the light came right back on. Now they're claiming it has nothing to do with them even though the issue started while the car was in their care. To make things worse, they wanted to charge me over $200 just to take a deeper look--at a problem they likely caused. Very disappointed with this shop. I paid a lot of money and ended up with more problems than I came in with. I would not recommend this place--unreliable and unprofessional. read more

*Incorrect diagnosis and repair* (Aside from the fuel pump which was appropriate and I already knew about). Jarod offered no apology or discount on future repair to correct their mistake. I paid $2,000 (This price did not include the fuel pump. That was an extra $1000) to have a minor oil leak fixed because I really love this vehicle and drove it a lot! I intended on keeping it and figured I would go ahead and get this leak looked at while it was in the shop for the fuel pump. The oil leak is so much worse now than when I originally took it to them. I can't even drive the vehicle now due to the amount of oil leaking. It has left a huge oil spot on my new concrete driveway. (The tow truck driver even pointed out on his bed where the oil had ran out during the 2-3 mile trip back to my house back from A&R during the last transport). Also, they did charge me to have the vehicle towed back to them to determine that the original issue had not been fixed and is actually worse. Their explanation that the original issue was worse (instead of apologizing) was that the vehicle was old and any new repairs can cause other issues to become worse. Again, no apology or admission that they had made the wrong repair. Also, I was told by one employee that a dye test had been done to diagnose where the oil leak was coming from and then Jarod told me there was no dye test performed. So, in retrospect, they did replace parts (even though they were the wrong parts to repair said leak). Also, I should have ONLY let them repair the problem that I had already had diagnosed (fuel pump) and not had them attempt to diagnose and attempt repair of the oil leak. I did give them over a week to call back and offer an apology, a discount on future repair, or a refund on the last tow to them before I posted this. I'm certain they will have a witty response to this review. However, I feel like I have given a fair review of my experience with A&R, given credit where credit was due (fixing the fuel pump), and hopefully give the next person some insight before they decide whether or not to trust their vehicle with this company. Oh, and in case you're wondering about the cost they quoted me to repair the original leak (again), well it's only.... $3300! read more

It should be enough that RMA is a locally owned/veteran owned business, bur these are just great people. They always explain thouroughly any repairs that are needed, My car is always fixed correctly the first time. The price is always reasonable. I needed new brake pads & 2 new tire sensors before I traveled for Christmas. I called to get a quote & the owner, Joe, told me to bring my car in the next morning so the techs could look at it. They gave me a reasonable quote & despite the fact that they had some big projects to do, they fit me in 4 days before I needed to leave. Not very friendly here for being a new customer. Came in for an simple oil change, the guy ended up putting too much oil in my car. I very politely called and told them the issue even sent a photo showing the dipstick. Woman told me to come back in so I did. Came back in was given a very cold shoulder feeling like I'm the one at fault. I kindly asked for my $10 back (the cost of 1 quart of oil) since I brought my own oil in and they overfilled it. The owner Joe storms in the door slaps $10 on the counter loud and rude says "There ya go man" storms back out the door that slams every 30 seconds which might I add makes your waiting experience so much more pleasurable and leaving me the impression with an attitude like that I was the one at fault for it. Nobody ever even apologized for the mistake just told me in fact it was overfilled. Guy pulls my car out, again no apology, says ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! No floor mat on my custom interior and dirt on my white leather custom steering wheel from his greasy hands. Super unprofessional all around. At the very least have the common courtesy to apologize for your mistake and next time keep the $10 with an attitude like that seems you need it more then I do. So let me tell you a story about RMA and how they saved my butt when I broke down in the middle of Clarksville, TN. I was traveling from Illinois back to my home state of Florida when I arrived in Clarksville to fill up with gas. After filling up with gas, I got back on the highway and went about half a mile when my dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree, pulled over, opened the hood and to my surprise.....apparently my serpentine belt had had enough and didn't want to be my friend any longer, not only that, she decided that she wanted to blow my timing cover gasket along with it. So here I am, stuck at the gas station in a town I've never heard of, and I start calling the local auto shops to see who I can get to help me(now this is Friday afternoon about 3 pm....these guys wanna go home) after a few failed attempts at some of the other shops, I call RMA and I get Joe on the phone, the owner. Tell him the situation and he says bring it on over, the wrecker service brings me there and we get it in the shop immediately, (keep in mind, I had another 900 miles to go to get back home)....Lee gets under the hood and diagnoses the problem in about 20 minutes, get my quote for the repair, but unfortunately due to the time of day the parts can't be delivered until Saturday morning. Luckily I have family that lives in Nashville, so it wasn't as expensive of an interruption as it could have been. Joe and the guys were nice enough to let me hang out after closing so I could wait for my ride, we talked military stories, fishing stories, and talked a little trash....they truly made me feel like part of the family, Joe even gave me a lift over to the bowling alley around the corner since he had other obligations to tend to (we call this going above and beyond) - next day I get the call 10 am, car is ready! When I tell you that these guys not only exceeded my every expectation, but it was all done with that Southern Hospitality that the outside world hardly ever sees. Being from Florida, we don't get that very much. I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Joe, and Stephanie, and Lee and the rest of the crew at RMA. If I'm ever in the area again, I will stop in again to say hello and thank you, whether I need work done or not. Their prices are fair, their work is exceptional, and they treat their customers with respect and dignity. Thanks for making what could have been a nightmare on a long road trip, that much more comfortable and helping me get back on the road. I look forward to seeing you all in the future. This place is amazing. I just moved from California, and it's been hard to find an honest and trustworthy mechanic. I reached out through yelp to ask the owner, Joe, some questions about my car and a price quote. He was very prompt and kind. He broke down the prices for me, and explained the process, which impressed me greatly. Plus, he quoted me at least a hundred dollars less than other mechanics I had called. When my service was done, it was even less than he quoted! A lot of other mechanics I called would dance around what needed to be done. What also was impressive was that I was greeted warmly when I arrived by Joe and another friendly and awesome mechanic. My car is now running so smoothly! I needed work on my brakes, and they did an incredible job! I feel very safe! ALSO, with a service, they offer a three year warranty nationwide! Puts them far above the competitors! This place is great!! I went to them to get some exhaust parts installed and a few other small things. They had a very fair price for the labor. When I went to pick my truck up, they warned me that I may not be happy with the new sound of the exhaust ( thanks to the muffler I picked out). Well he was completely right. I took it right back and had them install a different muffler that they suggested. My truck sounded way better after that. Overall, they knew what they were talking about, very good prices, and were just friendly people that I would go back for more work done without any hesitation. read more

I don't know if I should trust this Riverside Muffler & Alignment. They would have to prove to me beyond reasonable doubt that i can ever trust them or recommend them to anyone. After doing a diagnose in my car rear differential, I was quoted about $420 but a few hours later I received an other call saying that it will be an additional $400. Left with no other choice, I had to say sure go ahead and they "Fixed" it and i got the car the next day. However the following day, I noticed some fluid in my driveway and in other places where i parked so I called Riverside Muffler & Alignment to report the problem and they told me to bring the car in. When i brought it in (Friday), they checked it and told me that it is a small problem (No further details were given) and it can be fixed for $120 and should not take more than an hour but they said that they couldn't fix it the same day and that I had to bring it in after the weekend. When I brought the car in Monday I was told that the problem was a leaking drive shaft pinion seal and quoted $306 parts and labor. Right there I knew that I was about to get ripped off again so I informed them that I couldn't do that. The next day my neighbor, who happens, to be a mechanic (With over 20 years experience) asked me about the fluid leak in my driveway and offered to take a look. After checking the car he told me that the issue was due to poorly applied silicone (Gasket) around the differential cover and that there is absolutely no leak in or around the pinion seal. So here is my problem and questions. Why do these guys always give a quote and change it later? Do they not know what they are doing? How can a professional miss such an obvious leak when I can see the oil with my own eyes coming out of a tiny gap in the differential cover? Why are they trying to fix something that is not broke or are they just telling me that so they can justify the labor hours? Why couldn't they own up to their error and fix the problem without charging me an additional $306? read more

Riverside Muffler and Alignment did the first correct alignment and front end job I've had since purchasing my F250 Superduty 4x4 new in 2002. They accurately pinpointed some from end bushing issues, repaired it, along with a needed control arm replacement - then aligned it. In the past when getting front end alignments from other shops, I've always ended up with my truck pulling left or right with a steering wheel that does not line up straight. Not so with Riverside. The truck tracks perfectly with no left or right pull. The steering wheel lines up correctly when driving down the road. Front end handles like a new truck. I appreciate them taking the time to meet factory alignment specs and test driving the truck for fine tuning and an excellent repair. They do much more than this kind of repair so I will be back.
