I've been coming here for years, and it's still one of my absolute favorite spots. The vibe is the…read moreperfect mix of sports bar energy and live entertainment -- whether you're there to catch a game, enjoy live music, or show up on a DJ night, it's always a great time. What truly sets this place apart is the people. From the second I walk in the door, the bartenders make me feel welcome. They don't just serve drinks -- they remember my name, my drink order, and even what I like to eat. The owners and staff consistently make me, my friends, and my family feel like we belong there. Hoss, Josh, Tasha, Jimmy, Fred, and Mandy are hands down the best bartenders in the area. They're friendly, fast, and somehow manage to give you personal attention even when the bar is two or three deep. The service is always top notch -- even on the busiest nights, I still have a drink in my hand within minutes. That says everything about how well this place is run. And in the summer? The patio is the place to be. It's easily the best patio around -- great atmosphere, great crowd, and the BBQ is always a highlight. There's nothing better than sitting outside with friends, good food, and a cold drink. If you're looking for a spot with great energy, amazing staff, live music, DJ nights, and the best summer patio in town, this is it.

Did some research and this looked like a nice spot. I was right! First, this was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Nice and thick, perfectly made. I had it with grilled mushrooms, which were excellent. My husband had a burger with the grilled mushrooms and sauteed onions. MMMM! Next, the fries. Wow. Crisp, nicely seasoned, and hot. However, you should skip the fries and get the chips. Oh, baby, these were incredible. House-made, thin, not greasy, crackly crisp. I'd buy a bagful for the road if I could. And served with a little cup of French onion dip. Loved this meal! We'll definitely stop on our annual road trip next year. PS: They also have an outdoor dining space, but we wanted A/C.

Beyond that it was a nightmare. The service was sooooo sloooooow. It took too long for the waitress to come take our food orders after we placed a drink order. People in service should know to pick up the pace when they see small children in a party. However, even if it had been just adults, there is no excuse to keep us waiting for ten minutes. And then the food took absolutely forever, at least half an hour. During the wait, I counted only four parties totaling 14 people in the entire place. It was so frustrating. When the food arrived, half of it was wrong. My daughter ordered a kid's cheeseburger; she received a burger with no cheese. I ordered a grilled chicken salad with caesar dressing on the side; I received a caesar salad with the dressing mixed in. I didn't send it back--no time to wait! The salad was merely lettuce, dressing, and "chicken." The meat was rubbery and stale-tasting. The pretzel bites were horrid; sort of ligh-textured and vaguely sweet, but saturated with oil, they tasted more like toasted chunks of brioche bread than real soft pretzels. The "beer cheese" was mercifully flavorless. My wife's fish sandwich was bland but okay. The french fries were delicious. See, I closed on a positive note.

I switched things up a bit though, wanting to be sure to give the place an opportunity to put its best food forward. The wife got the previously dry Guinness Burger and I asked the Manager on Duty for a recommendation.....what do you guys do best? His reply, as I'd heard from others, was the Reuben. The Guiness Burger was better. It was more along the lines of a juicy, home-grilled burger. The Guinness BBQ sauce should be allowed to spill from burger to the plate so you can dip the fries. The wife enjoyed the meal. The Reuben was very good, http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/B0aSdOQJxHwa-VxA3hzYgA?select=kjYdbYkherAVT1UCyu01Og. I make Reubens at home exactly the way I like them. Mine have more meat and sauerkraut on them. At $8.99, this improvement is suggested. Still, the marble rye was grilled perfectly, the cheese, Thousand Island dressing, kraut and corned beef were nicely mingled and the sandwich was plenty moist and hot when it arrived. I'd come back on a Wednesday for the Reuben as it appears to be the special at $5.99. That's a good deal. Plenty of people were also noshing on the AYCE crab legs. Not sure on the price, but at least 3 large tables thought they were reasonable. Weather permitted us to choose the outdoor deck, which is a very nice alternative. There is a bar and a half-dozen tables. Service appeared to be very attentive the night we were there. It's difficult to personally attest to the service, given a bit of extra attention. In summary, the Reuben and improved Guinness burger warrant pulling the place up at least a half-star, and the owner's sincere effort to win over his customers is worth a little too. This place does the bar/pub thing pretty good and I wouldn't cross it off my list.
