I was told to get the refund the next day. Did not receive it so I emailed and was told " you need to be patient" in a clearly rude email. When I gave it another two weeks and called, i got reemed out on the phone an told we were " nightmare" clients because we had to push back the time. I'm sorry but the attitude of this women is the reason I'm writing this review. I dont have time but I made time to put this on here. She basically went on and on about how they are so busy and dont have time for small issues like this. The driver Milan added no extra and had zero to offer. she also fell asleep in the car when we were at one of the vinyards. They got their way over priced money and we will never use them again. Dont waste your time. There are other great ride options where you dont have to deal with the shitty owners who talk to you this way!

She offered to come get us, but she was an hour and a half away - leaving us stranded at the airport looking for another ride. A few days later, I reluctantly called her to confirm our ride back to Traverse City, which we had scheduled for between 10-11am. She seemed to not remember me from stranding me 3 days prior. She said she would come get me at 8am instead of our agreed upon time. When I told her that wouldn't work and that I would book with a different company she became upset. I told her I would probably have to book a back-up ride if I booked with her anyways since she was so unorganized and had already left us stranded once. Another guest at the wedding told me she cancelled on him too and sent him a nasty text message. No way this is a legit business that has insurance. Pay any price to use a different company!

I called Chariot and was immediately told by the woman on the other line to text her our details as she was on the road. I sent all of our details to chariot reserving a 845 am trip from Boyne Mountain resort to Traverse city. I also asked via text if I could get a confirmation as in my past experiences that was something provided in one form or another. I did receive a text confirmation and at that point went on to enjoy celebrating a best friends wedding. After hearing a few stories from other guests about getting stranded by their car service,I reached out to chariot asking for one more confirmation about 845 am pickup...this was the night before the ride. I received one message back stating that "I already excepted a ride with another company." I immediately tried to reach out to chariot to speak on the phone instead of text and my calls or texts no longer went through Which leads me to believe I was blocked. My fiancé and I then were tasked with calling every company we can in every nearby city (with 8 hours to spare) to see if we could still catch the only flight out that day. I was lucky enough to find an amazing company who drove us down . Long story short is NEVER rely on chariot, especially if you are not from around there. I highly recommend this type of carriage tour if you're the kind of person who likes to chat and has a lot of questions. You get the undivided attention of the tour guide. I'm not so big on chatting, and any questions I have, I tend to keep to myself, so this type of tour was not my favorite. Although, our tour guide was super friendly, and we learned a lot about the island. The second time, I hopped aboard a group tour. These type of tours are first come, first served. You can't reserve a time -- just buy your ticket, stand in line, and the next available carriage will pick you up. It could take an hour for your carriage to come; it could take 10 minutes. Who knows? What I do know is that you'll be in a carriage with several other people. Group tours are just as informative and entertaining as private tours. I'm a horrible person, and I couldn't care less about facts about Mackinac Island. So, I popped in my earbuds during the carriage tour and just experienced the tour with music in my ears and the landscape rolling by. At some point, we stopped at the visitor's center, which also happens to be by Arch Rock, a natural feature that you'll definitely want to check out. You get around 10 minutes to check out this area (and use the restroom, if you need to), so I highly recommend getting off the carriage and stretching your legs, at the very least. All together, the tour is supposed to be around 1 hour and 45 minutes. But they give you an option to jump out early, and you can walk down a big hill to the downtown area. You clip-clop with the horses all through the downtown Mackinac Island area, as well as the wooded areas that you probably wouldn't see on your own. I would suggest that you bring water and snacks, especially if you're on the carriage tour with children. An almost-two-hour tour is a long tour!

We visited Mackinac Island on a sweltering day and after walking around Main Street, got in the queue for the horse carriage tours tickets (it's on Main Street close to the visitor center - you can't miss it). There are 3 types of tickets but we got the basic sightseeing ones for $41 (the others include admission to other museums/sights). You cannot reserve in advance and you get a time slot for the start of the tour when you purchase tickets at the window, but even on a peak tourist day in August, we got a time slot only 30 minutes out. The tour itself was very informative and fun, and both our guides Aly and Tim were very entertaining (some genuinely good chuckles there!). The tour was around 1.5 hours and you get a pretty good sense of the place (and of course you see more of the horses!). Mackinac Island doesn't allow cars so this definitely seemed the way to go and learn about the place. They do make stops for specific sights (such as Arch Rock) or attractions towards end if anyone wants to go there (such as Fort Mackinac). All in all, highly recommend and well worth the money! p.s. don't forget to treat yourself to some fudge after the tour!!

He blessed me by giving up his own profit to advise me how to use the terminal parking which made a complete difference for me because nobody wants to come out that time of night and he also advised me how to use the proper one because I have early onset Alzheimer's and I probably would've been able to find my car in the long-term policy so he told me to use the short term since I'm only going to be gone for eight days. Less than 2 minutes later as I was putting on my coat, he left! As I chased him down the street he finally stopped. He made me walk a block to his van. He didn't bother to turn around & pick me up. I have a leg disease & I was in pain & tears by the time I reached the van. He said not one word to me. Drove 1/2 mile then charged me $10. He didn't even apologize. I will never use this cab service again!
