So I started searching online for another. Came across the Cutting Room and I decided to make an appointment. Julie cut my hair and did a fantastic job. I am so happy I found her. She is experienced, professional and very friendly. She listens and cuts to your desire. Her price was pleasantly surprising. I am happy to say I know where to get a good cut now. I was looked up and down from boot to top of my hair and with a smug look on the lady's face I was told that maybe check with the 11th street spa. I get my hair cut and colored every five weeks and I buy around $100 or more worth of hair products a month. I was treated like a bag lady that day. I was dressed in jeans and nice sweater. Clean and put together. What a bunch of judgy bitches. I would give them negative stars if I could. I do not have an opinion on the actual beauticians because I didn't even get to make an appt. I wanted one for later in the month even not a walk in appt.

She gave me a foil telling me the same thing, it is far from the same. She put a toner in my hair and when she started to dry it I knew it was very dark. When dried I looked like all the ash from a case of cigarettes in an ashtray. She then stripped toner out of my hair now it has just a plain color. I went from hair I loved from first coloring in February since the 80's and on my 4 year old hair from being bald from chemo. I got in my car after walking out and just sat and cried for 15 minutes. Now my hair is nothing but tangled knots coming out in my brush.

For the first time in all my years, I was not asked if I wanted a shampoo when I got there. I thought it very strange, especially since I could tell she was having a bit of a problem with cutting it with so much product still in my hair. She wet it down, cut it, but didn't blow dry it. I was ok with that since it was only damp, but then I had to ask for hairspray since she just wet my whole head, and I needed to go grocery shopping right after. She gave me the can so I could do it myself. All that said, I feel like this experience was a bit strange. My hair cut was ok, and I feel like the price was fair, but I didn't really get a good vibe from the hair stylist. She was not very personable; she was nice enough, sure, but I won't be asking for her to cut my hair again if I go back. There are other hair salons here in Cody and in nearby towns so I will probably try those.
