A good store run by nice people. The best mini selection in CDA. They have a weekly D&D game like the other games stores in town.

Honestly a better selection of warhammer than my local shop with several out of print sets.

Halloween used to be my least favorite holiday. Whenever I would see a goblin, or a ghoul, or a…read moreghost, or any other scary miscreant, I would freeze in utter fear and run. Every year on halloween they would come to my house -- MY HOUSE! -- expecting a 'treat'. A treat? For what? For spooking me? 'No!', I would say to their devilish grins. Then, these hordes had the audacity, the NERVE to come back to my safe hold with their leaders. Every Halloween. Every. That was 20 years ago. Before I found spirit. I remember that day like I made it up in my head just now. I was young and reckless, and a huge halloween hater. I remember it was halloween, and I was cornered by a group of children. My only escape was into the belly of the beast -- spirit. I backed straight into an employee. He asked me if I needed any help. 'Help?' I remember saying. 'You're not going to ask for a treat?'. 'No, ofc not', he said. I explained to him that halloween was all about asking for treats, and that while I was empathetic towards him for having to work here, I hated halloween. He told me halloween was not about 'treats'. He told me about the story of Saint Halbert Wein, the man who created halloween. He told me he had wanted to create a holiday for the poor pumpkin farmers, for he was one himself. He showed me halloween was not a day to be scared, but to be happy for all the beautiful things this world had to offer, like pumpkins and pumpkin farmers. that day, I knew Halloween was not something to fear, but to love. I asked the employee what his name was. After a moment of smoldering in the sun, he gave me an answer. 'I am nolan jarvis'. So yeah, you could say I have halloween spirit ;D

Right when I walked in the gal at the desk was so friendly asked if we'd been in before which we…read morehadn't and told us how their book program works and how much each book was. They have a big selection of kids books, romance, mystery, and general fiction. I didn't head over to the other side of the store with all the non-fiction biographies history and other types. The store is set up very nice neat and clean. We ended up getting a bunch of kids books and because we joined their trade in program each hardback was two dollars and every softback book was a dollar. Definitely gonna be coming to this bookstore a lot.

Today was my second time here and I know we will come back often. What a great local shop! I have a…read moretoddler who loves books as much as I do and we have an enormous library for her. I typically would always buy new books but heard about a sale here and checked it out earlier this year...one dollar for four kids' books; we came home with eight total. Many of the books we purchased were similar to ones on her Amazon wish list for a minimum of five dollars apiece and we got them for $.25 each -- wow!! Today we brought three books to trade in (easy process) which resulted in a trade of three children's books, including one that is on Amazon for $10 (see pictured) and is in excellent condition. We left with two Pinkalicious books as well, which are popular and around $5-10 new each online too. I love supporting local and a great deal. Thanks, Alex and Megan! (Great customer service!)
