I've been working with Heather steadily for about a year now. I've learned more about myself in…read morethis year than I could have ever thought possible. Initially, Heather found me on LinkedIn and connected because of her website needs. During the rebuild of her site, she mentioned that I might benefit from her work. I was hesitant at first because of the word yoga. I came to understand that Kundalini Yoga was much different than the idea I had of yoga. Due to injuries, I have some physical limitations that do not allow me to participate in most of the "yogas" our area has to offer. Kundalini is not about stretching and contorting in ways that don't seem natural to the human body. The focus is on reestablishing connections in the brain, improving the health of organs, re-oxygenating the blood, and more things than I could ever list here. About two months in, Heather began providing me with free Kangen Water as a part of my wellness work with her. I was an avid follower of the bottled water trend at the time. I didn't understand the health risks that came with drinking out of plastic or that there was a healthier option available. Did you know that plastic actually increases the level of estrogen in your body, increasing your potential for breast cancer, testicular cancer, and a number of other issues? I didn't. I have been drinking Kangen Water ever since and it has done so much for me. Heather as provided me with countless resources to learn about this water and it has a few health benefits that I feel the necessity to mention... This medical grade water device pulls apart the molecules of the water, making them smaller and easier to absorb into the bloodstream; it separates the high PH from the low PH water, allowing us to only consume alkaline (anti-oxidant) water while discarding the acidic (oxidizing) water; it electrolyzes the molecules, putting electricity back into your blood cells (very useful for those with red blood cell disorders); it re-oxygenates the cells since our water treatment facilities increase the ORP of our water so no microorganisms can survive (the problem with this is that WE are living organisms and we are consuming, cooking with, and showering in this oxidizing water). I could go on and on about how Japan uses this water device to create medical grade water so sterile that they can wash their surgical equipment with no chemicals. I could tell you about the water this device makes that removes oil based pesticides from my fruits and vegetables. For the sake of time though, I'll stop there with the water talk. In addition to the water and Kundalini yoga, Heather taught me about breathing and meditation. I always thought that meditation was just sitting and thinking about nothing. Kundalini meditation is so much more. It involves chanting & breath work for vibrational realignment, improving gland and organ function, oxygenating blood, and the list goes on. For me, personally, the breath patterns have been particularly useful. Being self employed and running several companies, it has always been a dream of mine to find an entrepreneur who can CREATE more time. Heather Ferri IS THIS ENTREPRENEUR. With a few weeks practice, utilizing particular breath patterns throughout each day created such a high level of oxygen in my brain that I could accomplish literally twice as much in the same period of time. Words can't explain what this meant for my business endeavors but more importantly, it gave me time for a personal life. Work life balance is something that I've struggled with for as long as I can remember. I have often lived a life of making lists and forever "catching up". Heather helped me to understand that there's more, so much more. My next step in our work was understanding more about energy. Heather began having me lay on a BIOMAT during our sessions. At that time, I was barely walking due to a knee injury. She explained that the biomat has healing properties because of the vibrational energy of the natural stones and crystals contained within it. We become like the energy we surround ourselves with. Everything is made of vibrations and this is true of people too. Once I really understood this, I took a good look at the people I was surrounding myself with on a regular basis. Making sure I surround myself with supportive people who have great energy allows me to live a life I can wake up and be excited about every day. I have Heather to thank for teaching me, through self-care, that I don't need to spend my entire life trying to help others. I can accomplish that better than ever if I take care of me first. These days, I spend my mornings stretching, meditating, learning, and consuming fruit. My afternoons are filled with gardening, making videos to share things I've learned, a few hours of work, and hour of connecting with new potential clients. Evenings are for relaxation, friends, and FUN... And LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL.

While laying on the ground bleeding I looked around everyone around me while they were concerned for me I just wanted to see all of them smile and be happy. I even saw my angel a older woman with a quilt blanket on herself in a wheel chair praying over my legs. This is the moment my direction in life started to change. I was physically, mentally, and spiritually damaged after the events of that night. I have gone through physical therapy, mental therapy, heavily medicated for years but I was not whole.  Life is all about the journey while going through everything with doctors who i spent money and time and energy on it was a learning experience for them and me. One establishment was so happy about the progress correction my spine and nerve damage that they mention me to people I to this day feel honored and grateful for their team without them I may have been worse condition. But still body is fixed not fully whole still missing something. This year I came to an event in Pittsburgh illuminate Pittsburgh and came across Heather Ferri in a class. After her teachings I wanted to know more about Kundalini Yoga. But like everyone research is so much at our hands that we dont trust people at their soul value. I did read the above comments and it was disheartening to hear it. But while going through hell of my pain and suffering I realized that everyone has a right to their own story and beliefs does that mean i have to be or do the same as them. I decided to sit on the idea of what she wrote and came to the realization that while if she said had the possibility to be true If one learns from a mistake they should be forgiven no one is perfect the lessons we learn are that what makes us grow and really be the light hope in this world. After sessions and classes I can say that my experience with Heather and her Teachings are tremendous. The amount of knowledge of so many areas of healing I had never came by before in my travels to help heal myself. Ethics of how people hold themselves the intent to stop suffering on a soul is a great responsibility. While I do understand that we are the ones that will work hard to heal themselves the transaction between teacher-student, doctor-patient is a mutual one at a soul level. Publications in doctor journals across the world state that they healed people and are given awards for their accomplishments. The patients have been given their own reward their life back to live in this world free or lesson of their pain. I will say anyone who reads any review on here In the end its your choice. Fear of the unknown and possibility is scary for all of us. I chose not to let that hold me and with Heather I have been given tools support that continue to strengthen my heart soul to live life fully and happy in a world that is in darkness and uncertainty. when its hard to look up at a person and smile or even look in the mirror at yourself. Their needs to be a change I'm grateful to the comments the reader wrote and even more grateful and blessed I only chose to ignore the negative words that captivated my ego.  Thank you Heather and all her students and everyone that may read this and whomever writes next reviews. The renovation has been slow and uncomfortable to workout. Jan 24th there was very little workout equipment. Feb 22nd there is more equipment but still only 4 treadmills. Still very much under construction and a note that March 1st my couples membership would increase to $75 ($49.99 + $24.99) monthly. I spoke with the new fitness manager who advised construction should be complete by June. I requested my membership was cancelled with the customer service person at the front desk that day. My credit card was charged on Feb 28th. My husband emailed today March 2nd and I will follow up in person to cancel my membership.

I know about how people love that new, well-greased equipment. I know about how people like their nationwide memberships and multiple convenient locations. Greentree doesn't fit those descriptions. At all. Which is actually why it's so awesome. From their simple, easy-to-navigate website: "The Greentree SportsPlex has always prided itself on being a friendly multi-sport family fitness facility, catering to the fitness fanatic, weekend warrior, and young athlete alike. Our staff is comprised of professional athletes, former collegiate student-athletes, and exercise enthusiast who take pride is helping our members with their fitness and health goals, no matter how small or large the goal is." Hidden at the top of a windy hill, this place is the epitome of of gritty, down-to-earth fitness. I have attended Marcy's hardcore Zumba classes on Mondays, and she is a rockstar. I've been to my fair share of Zumba classes, and her choreography is challenging yet fun and very dance-oriented, which I love. She integrates her dance background very well, and her song choices are always top notch. She also adds a great ab workout at the end. Kids run around getting ready for soccer practice, and there are activities for people of all ages and walks of life. Drop in classes are only $7, which is less than many fitness centers' package classes. The facilities may be older, but they are very clean and they provide towels if you need them. Accessible and caters to exactly the audience that its mission states it caters to. I like it.

Related to my specific circumstances, I enrolled my son in his Pee-wee boxing program at the age of six years old. He regularly attended this program and very much enjoyed the coaching staff. My son requires physical therapy for a motor skill delay condition and rather than sending him to occupational therapy, his pediatrician agreed that boxing would help him improve his motor skills and coordination. Thankfully, during the 3 years we attended (and never missed a payment spending $900 a year) we had very little interaction with the owner until recently. This past Sunday, apparently my card for my membership needed to be updated, but rather than notifying me in a professional manner, he texted me that he had canceled my son's membership at 6 PM on a Sunday evening because the card had declined. I did not respond. A few days later, he then texted me asking for updated payment information and referencing a past due balance. After attempting to understand the confusion in his communication, especially after he had already communicated the cancellation of the membership, which he charges prior to the start of the month, I could not understand why he was asking for a payment that I clearly did not owe. He went on a 5 paragraph rant about his membership program & ended it by making mention of another member who recently left the gym by stating "tell Rick I said hi!" He was specifically referencing my son's uncle, which made me realize this was the reason for his retaliation. After making him aware that I would be sharing my experience with everyone I come in contact with he then threatened me by telling me his "wife is an attorney and he will not tolerate any statements that would be damaging to his brand". He also let me know that he would pursue legal action "to the fullest extent of the law." We are clearly taking our business elsewhere, but I asked him to remove my son's images from his social media after all of this retaliation against a nine year-old boy due to his conflict with another adult, which once again, is completely unrelated to my son's membership. He has still not removed the 3 photos of my nine-year-old minor child on his publicly accessible, social media platforms which I clearly requested using the same cell phone # he was using to send his strange paragraphs from. My messages and requests have been ignored. I also commented directly on each photo stating clearly that he "does not have my permission to use my minor child's photos for any of his advertising purposes." Instead of removing the posts, he responded by blocking my accounts, removing my comments, and continues to use the photos my son is featured in for advertising purposes. He clearly has not brushed up on the laws protecting the privacy of minor children, but he will soon find out via legal consequences for this behavior.
