Let me start by saying, I have tried so many outlets to assist with my fitness and health…read more It started with Ballys, then went to LA fitness Lucille Roberts Planet Fitness Curves The Kroc BLINK back to Planet Fitness various aerobic sessions (Zumba and Tabata) and finally neighborhood walks/jogs. None of these things kept my attention. I got bored after about two weeks. I am a quitter and I am someone that does not like challenges. I love my comfort zone and I love to eat my feelings. It's what I do. Stout has changed that! My very first class, western boxing, taught by Ty. I don't know a thing about boxing. I do not watch boxing, I know some big names but I do not watch. So I show up at 5:20pm, I'm just standing there, ready to run out (again, quitter). He walks over, introduces himself, and tells me to warm up with shadow boxing. I said I don't know how to shadow box. He gave me the option of jumping rope or jumping jacks. I didn't want to do that, I don't know why but I didn't. he said you got this. I immediately said, ya know what I do. Stoutpgh and their staff is not intimidating AT ALL. It may feel that way if you have never stepped in the facility or if you are thinking about previous Arts schools and maybe they were jerks. Everyone is helpful, constantly guiding you and correcting you with positive reinforcement but also praising you when you do something good! I do love hearing "Good Kia" or "Nice Kia" or "Great job Kia" Class two, it was a bag class. I met Brody, he introduced himself. I stood in front of the heavy bag confused. before I could even get his attention, he came over and assisted me. I walked out of that class throwing 1, 2, and 3 (didn't know what a 3 was), and a switch kick. NICE! I went to class three, signed up that day. Zack, said you have another free class. I said, I don't need it. lets get this party started!!! I want you all to know, I am 44, 4'11, and 263.7lbs. I do not feel like the "fat chick", or the "old chick", I feel like a person. Stoughpgh let's you be a person, not a label. Many times we think we have to get in shape before starting something to get us in shape. How bass ackwards is that??? I didn't think Stoutpgh was for me, I didn't think I could do it. Boy, was I wrong! It is for me, it is for EVERYONE and EVERY BODY!!!! Again, EVERY BODY!!!!!! I look forward to class, actually look forward to going. I am so surprised by that, haha! Staff Cleanliness Availability of Classes Prices Oh last thing, I am funny about what I eat throughout the day. I know I have to train so the idea of just eating anything, I stopped that. I know what will make me feel sluggish, bloated, or just gross. I care about what I take in so that I can be productive during class. No one said anything to me about how/what to eat but it's like my brain clicked on a light that has clearly been dark for a long time.

It is also a martial arts gym, that has Muay Thai, jujitsu, and Krav Maga. Wright's definitely has something for everyone. They are constantly making improvements to make this place even better. None of what I posted was "nasty" as the owner rebutted.The statements were a true representation of what happened. I feel like people need to know what type of business owner you are. What type of business owner of a gymnastics class bans parents from seeing their kids in action especially being new and being the one paying. I come from far away to attend this little gym in Braddock, but now understand I was expected to go away and not watch my child. Where did you expect me to go for 1 hour 2 days per week?? Maybe the kids should come in snowsuits for gymnastics if you're so worried about the coaches touching a little sweat. This gym and owner is unprofessional when dealing with the public. My daughter had a midriff top on as part of her gymnastics outfit. It was the 1st time she wore it. I've seen other kids with backs and stomachs out before; and we are new or were new to gymnastics! I didn't know it was against dress policy, as I'm educated, not illiterate, and would not have put it on her if I had known. The instructor Sam told us she couldn't wear it again and I understood that. Then Sam ran and told the boss as soon as she got there for her to then reinforce it. Again I'm not illiterate or uneducated; I got it the 1st time! They demanded my 9 year old, who hasn't a trace of protruding body parts, put on a shirt with less than 30 min. of class left. Upset my daughter tremendously! Instead of Kim, the owner making it more of a safety issue which I would have understood, she told me my 9 year olds sweat was GROSS! Yes she used the word GROSS! Are the faces, necks, arms, and legs of the children GROSS and part of a safety and sanitation issue you posted about on facebook? Because they are all exposed and get sweaty, touch the coaches, and equipment too. Maybe your in the wrong business!!! Maybe tbe kids should come in snowsuits if the coaches and owner are worried about touching the kids sweat. Again GROSS would not be the professional thing to say to a parent. That offended me tremendously and I made the decision to pull my daughter out of that gym. Then Kim rudely blocked me from commenting on the situation via email and facebook, after she posted a very offensive and UNPROFESSIONAL facebook post stating me and my 9 year old rolled our eyes, charging me for a shirt, and something about what my mama didn't teach me.... what is this high school? I should not be receiving any farther charges after 6/20/17 as my daughter used her own shirt. Who talks about a child as an adult and owner of a business that supposed to love and serve children?! Speaking of rolling eyes I witnessed teacher Sam roll her eyes and curl her lip at a student named Savanah just because she had to redirect her a couple of times. If you brought your kids to a practitioner to be treated, which is what I do, you would not like it either if I used slang/unprofessional terms such as GROSS; to describe a certain condition when treating your children. Learn from this situation and the loss of a new customer/client! Please, please learn to be professional if you plan to be open for any amount of time.

Sensei Danilo is a legend in the world of Martial Arts along with his family, but he is not motivated by money -- he genuinely wishes the best for all students and works with each person to set them up for not just success, but overall happiness and well-being. I was also happy to have a variety of classes offered during the morning, afternoon and evening, this is helpful for scheduling, especially for individuals that work shift work. I have tried a few other BJJ schools in the past and have enjoyed Indio Dojo the most. When I walked in Professor Jake welcomed me and showed me where to find things. When I was stretching, I spoke to a few of the members and they were all friendly and was happy I stopped by.
