Where do I start? Sign up! I was new to the SF/Daly City area and looking for personal training--someone to motivate me. Lifting weights can feel intimidating if you're used to sticking mostly to machines at the gym. At the beginning of the year, I walked in and met Jeremy. We talked about my goals, and I signed up on the spot! The entire staff is so friendly and immediately makes you feel comfortable asking questions--and they're always there to motivate you, too. I love that they offer group sessions at a variety of times, work out different areas of the body, and teach you how to lift safely and properly. It's been a huge confidence booster! If you're looking for a gym--and you're open to making new friends who will keep you motivated--stop by and meet the team!

This review has been a long time coming. First thing's first; you get out what you put in. I opted for their 6 week challenge, and with no exaggeration, it changed my life. You get nutrition coaching, a dedicated coach to check in with daily, and, you get results. I'm feeling muscles I never knew I had (rock climber of over a decade here) Secondly, the guests are all super supportive. I have developed friendships here, both on the mat and during community events. They even had an epic Christmas potluck! If you're reading this and you're on the fence, just hop over. Other guests have great success with their general membership, but I wanted to ensure I committed. With strength camp, I even overcame some unsustainable habits. Hard to stick with the workout if you're hungover all the time!

Getting stronger!

The Strength Camp SF is a tremendous gym for anyone looking to improve their health, get in better shape, get stronger, or overall finding a safe place to get your body in a better place than it was the day before. The Strength Camp SF has been monumental in helping me feel better. My coach is Jeremy and he has tracked my progress, pushed me, held me accountable , and has been a tremendous coach in helping me develop the right routine, the correct diet, and provided me with a timeline to reach my goals. And it has worked and is continuing to work. There are a plethora of coaches that all specialize in different aspects of fitness that will help you reach your goals. Whether you want to loose weight, change your physique, find a gym that fits your schedule, or you want someone telling you how to do each movement correctly while pushing you, this place will get you right.

Postpartum friendly gym! When I was 5months postpartum from a c-section I started the 6 week challenge. I was terrified. I was scared to hurt my abdomen where I had surgery, I was scared I would be pushed too hard, I was scared the coaches would not know how to support me in accommodations, I was scared of anything affecting my milk supply. But I took a risk. I was paired with Coach Lisa and I am immensely grateful. Lisa has a MS in Nutrition and certification in pregnancy/postpartum fitness. She knew what modifications I would need. working with her I discovered how malnourished I was (which had been reducing my milk supply and I didn't even realize it!). Lisa gave me tips to modify my daily diet to match my goals, like cooking rice in bone broth to get more protein. Lisa holds the belief that no food is bad food, but different foods help us with different goals. I cried tears of relief in my first meeting with Lisa. Working with her all my fears were alleviated. The coaches all have excellent communication and I felt cared for in every class, even when Lisa wasn't there. All the coaches knew my limitations and the accommodations I needed. Each coach has a different teaching style and I have enjoyed the structure as well as the variety. I have a long way to go before I feel good in my body again but I think Strength Camp can help me get there and the challenge set me up for success.

I was visiting the bay back in December and looking for a place to work out while I was in town and stumbled across Strength Camp. I checked out their website, signed up for a free trial, and met Coach Jeremy and Coach Pat on the day of my trial. The class was super fun and engaging, and the energy was through the roof! Coach Jeremy was able to break down a lot of my squat technique and give me tips no other coach has ever given me. His level of attention to detail is insane. We also did RDLs as part of the workout and Coach Pat gave me some awesome tips and cues I've never heard before! Sadly, I live too far, but my experience at the gym was a 10/10 experience and I would definitely be going there if I lived closer.

I've been going for a few months now here and there and it's definitely a great workout. The community is also great, and all the teachers are kind and goes at a level you're comfortable at. Every time I've been, there's something new I'm learning or a new form I'm getting down. If you're bored of going to the gym, I recommend this bootcamp to add into your fitness rotation. All the instructors are very supportive, and really does try to help you and push you to do your best. Also, the music is great and love the water machine.

Whether it's a cardio-focused HIIT day or a slower-paced, low impact strength day, I always feel like I'm dying (in a good way). Even at 5:45 in the morning, Coach Zack and Coach Derrick bring the energy and make the workouts fun. With the motivation of Coach Derrick's throwback jams and Coach Zack cackling at my suffering, I always push myself harder than I thought possible. And you can tell that they really care about helping everyone at all levels of fitness work towards their own goals as they walk around offering form corrections, modifications, or adding to your weights if they think you can do more. Fitness aside, there is also a great sense of community and many people hang out together outside of the workouts too. Also, shoutout to Coach Allen who led the first class I ever tried. Though he's taken a step back from coaching the classes, he was very encouraging and continues to be very accommodating of my schedule for ClassPass!

Despite multiple emails and repeated attempts to resolve the issue directly, my refund still has not been issued. The communication has been extremely disappointing. I've been told the manager was out of town and have received excuse after excuse, but no meaningful progress or resolution. I've made every effort to handle this through the proper channels before sharing my experience publicly. If you're considering joining this location, I would encourage you to think about how customer service is handled if something goes wrong. Signing up is easy, but getting a straightforward issue resolved has been unnecessarily difficult. I hope the owner and management take this as an opportunity to improve their communication and follow through on commitments. I would much rather be updating this review to reflect a positive resolution than writing it in the first place.

I do not recommend this location due to the extremely poor customer service I received from the…read moremanager, Neijah Cox. On May 26, I purchased a three-class package. All three class reservations were made in person at the studio, not through the app. Today, I arrived for what was supposed to be my third and final class. Upon arrival, Neijah informed me that I was not enrolled in the class. I responded, "That's fine, can you book me into the next class?" Neijah then told me that I had no remaining classes or points on my account and that I would need to purchase additional classes. I explained multiple times that today's class was my third and final class, and I asked her to review my account to verify that I had only attended two classes. After checking, she claimed that her system showed I had cancelled classes, missed classes, and therefore had no remaining classes available. She repeatedly told me that I needed to buy more classes. I explained at least four to six times that I had never cancelled any classes and that I had personally booked today's class at the studio after my previous session. I suggested that either the system or the employee who assisted me may have entered something incorrectly. Unfortunately, it felt as though Neijah was not listening to anything I was saying. Rather than investigating further, she simply continued repeating what the system showed. At no point did she attempt to look deeper into the issue, review the reservation history, determine who helped me make the booking, or otherwise investigate what may have happened. She showed no interest in resolving the situation. What made the experience even more frustrating was that I knew I had not attended a third class, had not cancelled any reservations, and had not even redeemed the complimentary shake that comes with completing the three-class package. None of that seemed to matter. Her response remained the same: "The system says you cancelled classes, had no-shows, and have no classes left. You need to buy more classes." The situation then escalated unnecessarily when she threatened to call the police if I did not leave the premises. At that point, I began recording the interaction to ensure there was an accurate record of what was being said. I asked why I was being told to leave when I was simply trying to explain the situation and seek a resolution. After returning home, I checked my email and discovered what had actually happened. My class was not scheduled for 7:15 a.m. as I believed--it was scheduled for 9:35 a.m. All Neijah needed to do was thoroughly review the reservation details in the system, and she would have seen that the class existed but was scheduled for a different time. Instead, I was subjected to an embarrassing and completely avoidable experience. I printed the email confirmation showing my 9:35 a.m. reservation and returned to the studio to provide proof. When I arrived, Neijah again told me to leave or she would call the police. I left the printed confirmation on the counter and departed. This occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m. Then, at 9:09 a.m., I received an email notifying me that my 9:35 a.m. class had been cancelled. The entire situation was handled terribly from start to finish. A simple review of the reservation details could have resolved everything in minutes. Instead, I was repeatedly told to purchase more classes, treated as though I was at fault, threatened with police involvement, and ultimately denied the customer service and professionalism that should be expected. I have recordings of the interactions because I felt the situation was being misrepresented, and I am currently attempting to contact the owners or someone above Neijah in management to request a refund and formally address how this matter was handled.

I was thrown into a dark room mid-class with no idea where my station was, what weights to use, or even how to start(!) the treadmill. I had to stop multiple times just to change weights and restart. Change weights and restart. In the end, this was a complete waste of time, while the whole experience felt like corporate lead-generation and profit mattered far more than the safety and success of new members.
