The one thing that I LOVED today compared to last time was that their central air conditioning was on. Previously, the AC wasn't turned on and the space quickly turned into a sweat box, so today was much, much better. Again, Andrew led the warm up and conditioning section, and again, it wasn't an overly complicated work out. Seemed less intense than last time however. One thing that I noticed today compared to last time, was that they don't have a lot of dumbbells/kettlebells for the conditioning section. I feel like they should stock more 10, 12.5 and 15 lb weights since those seem to be the most popular. The ones left over always seem to be either 5 lb or 25 lb; as a result, I have to go to the 5 lb one (which is way too light for me) since 25 lb is too heavy. Levi wasn't here today, so Erin taught the beginners (3 of us today, a good sized group). Erin was friendly, and a great teacher (she also does a good Gollum impression watch out). As a studio, they also maintain a good standard of hygiene - immediately after someone cut their foot and blood got on the mats, Erin immediately helped him clean up and bandage his foot. Afterwards, she made sure the mats were properly disinfected before resuming teaching.

Shower and change rooms available as well as a variety of strength training/cross fit style equipment. Class sizes are small which made for more instructor attention which I liked. The head instructor Jun is funny and engaging with a strong technical knowledge of Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Signed up on a promo that included a free training gi/uniform (Other gyms asked me for over $100 for to get a similar uniform). So pretty good value. Been about a month in and really enjoying the instructors and fellow students. Would recommend to students new to martial arts looking to improve their health, meet some cool people while learning some real world self-defense.

Completing an hour of each class is equivalent to running 5km so which activity do you think is a better deal (it's the classes)! The instructors are super nice and well trained in their own skills and works closely with everyone to perfect their skills. If you are new to the gym, the owner Archie will welcome you and show you around and take great care of you. Many women may be intimidated since it's a more male dominant sport but the ladies I have met here are nothing but great people and we help each other succeed. There are a few different groups of people that train here, with the majority being ones that are looking to get into shape or lean down, and aren't looking to compete. The ones that do want to compete are some of the friendliest, most humble people to train with as they take the time out to spar or show you the ropes. This gym is for anyone looking to try something new, lose some weight, tighten up, and/or challenge themselves. Or if you have kids with too much energy. Best of all is there is zero ego here, from both trainers and clients. It's an incredible atmosphere to come blow some steam off from a long day, or get out of your headspace for an hour or so.
