We were driving a VW Jetta, which is apparently an incredibly difficult car to get fixed in smaller towns, but he called around to a few places on his phone for us and found one of his friends in Alpine who had a garage and was willing to work on our car. If you have to break down in the middle of the desert, Sixto is the man to call.

When I drove my car with the spare tire to Alpine, I was desperate and out in the middle of nowhere & all auto shops are closed. Headed into the gas station & Sharon was so nice to call the owner of Auto Glass Alpine on the other side of the street for me. Eventually the owner, Vance, from the auto shop came in and helped me put on a tire that I could rely on & drive back home. It's a 500ish miles away and the doughnut would not make it that far away. I'm so thankful for all helps the people here offered me. PS - Because I was in such bad luck, bought a lottery scratch and killed the time waiting Vance.

This Love's felt like it finally gave up on itself. Inside looked like a snack tornado hit it. The drink machine was sticky enough to trap a small animal, and I'm pretty sure my shoes gained weight walking past it. Step outside and it didn't get much better. Trash overflowing everywhere like the cans just threw their hands up. And the dog park -- which should be amazing -- was a minefield of dog turds from every breed known to mankind.
