He told me they were very experienced at this work and would like to meet with me to do an estimate. Asked if I would send him my detailed plans of the patio I wanted and pictures of the stamped concrete pattern I wanted to use. I did that around this same time, September 8th. Never heard back from him. I even sent him a message through Yelp to see why he hadn't responded. Still no reply to date. I've given up waiting and doubt I'll ever hear from this company.

When that day arrived, I waited and AKK never showed up. I called and Rosa said she canceled our appointment because we did not confirm via text. She then read back the number she wrote down and it was the wrong number. I asked of they confirm or verify before they cancel and she blamed me that I didn't answer the text - that I did not receive - because she wrote down the wrong number. They also had my spouses number and never texted or verified with them either. Afterwards, I very respectfully asked for painter recommendations in a local group and the owner began blaming me for bad mouthing his company online, that they are great and that I came to his neighborhood to speak badly - never once did he message or apologize for any issue, he was extremely accusatory and completely unprofessional. They provide great service to customers, believe that, but if you want to work at McKown, be cautious of a heightened political business environment, and a lot of gossip and backstabbing from my honest observations. I come from a family of General Contractors and business owners, and this seemed very shady to me. I was blindsided. It feels hypocritical and two-faced, but business is business. I shook hands and walked away without disgruntlement, but if you hold me accountable for that reason, then please don't make me the only man with the finger pointed in his face when there are greater offenses being committed.
