Dan is The Man! I've been playing guitar with Dan for more than a year now, and its been everything more than insightful and fun. He brings a friendly attitude when it comes to teaching; he encourages everyone and he genuinely enjoys seeing each students progression. I'm lucky too have found a teacher like him. Anyone can know something or nothing, and still learn from Dan. Our lessons are mix of technique and music theory. For sure, you're going to learn your scales and basic fundamentals. But then, he will ask YOU what your interests are and what You would like to learn. The most recent songs I've learned was Fix You by Coldplay and Irreplaceable by Beyonce. He does more than teach you songs, he helps you understand how and what you're playing. He taught me how to change the Key, fretboard knowledge, different tunings (Drop D- Half Step Down), and so much more. And!! His talent doesn't stop at guitar. I have a niece (12 yrs old) who really enjoys the group classes because she is a social butterfly and loves making friends. So, besides making new friends she has also has learned a lot from her guitar instructor because she didn't even know anything when she first picked up the guitar. My nephew (14 yrs. old) on the other hand needs a little more attention because of his attention span, so he enjoys the private lessons. I just enrolled my 10 year old son for the January semester. I wasn't sure if he would like it but after getting a tour of the music school, meeting the teacher and some of the other students I know he will really enjoy his musical education with this exceptional music school.
