I'm yelping for my hubby here well, and 2 sons. Stu finally made a Yelp & hubby doesn't Yelp. My husband Started working at Amazon here over a year ago. (Are family of 4 kids we followed 6 months after) We are from Texas and my husband had been seeing his barber for over 20 years! So I know how much it meant to him to find someone in Seattle. He said he had gotten some very bad haircuts at stylish places. Had trouble finding a good barber. Until he came across STU suggested by a co worker I think. My husband was so happy he would face time me about it! He likes military style haircuts but also get's Straight Razor got shaves ever so often and Stu does all that. Me an are 4 kids followed just 6 months after once school got out. The problem is once me & the kids moved up here we got a place to stay an Bellevue and than moved to our new home in Renton. So It works out in the end because Hubby works downtown, but not close to home. I even brought my 2 sons in a couple times Stu Is very good with kids too. The kids actually want to go see him, the shop is clean but does have playboy magazines I had to hide from the boys read more

Been meaning to do a post review. Excellent service as always. Would like to add that calling or texting directly to Stu is beneficial. He always schedule's appointments directly & quickly. Very consistent in his skill couldn't be happier an I am a difficult customer to say the least. I moved to Seattle, WA and quickly found Stu on accident, and I'm glad I did. He's adept at his craft and really cares about getting it right. I've been able to get him to do haircuts for me off poor quality photos I found online. Even if he didn't get it exactly right the first time he would go figure out how to make it better and do a perfect job the next time. You won't be disappointed. read more

I tried out a few different barbers when I first moved to Seattle and they either didn't know what to do with my hair or didn't take their time. Stu is THE best barber I have seen in this city by far. He's a nice guy, takes his time, cuts all types of hair and he isn't satisfied till you're satisfied with your cut. While me and my stylist were having a normal conversation during my appointment, at a volume needed when someone is behind you so they can hear you n vice verse, Frank interrupted to complain that we were "being too loud." Instead of handling it respectfully, he became rude, hostile, and unnecessarily aggressive toward both of us. He even threatened my stylist, telling her she could pack up her things and leave if she didn't want to follow his rules, which was completely inappropriate and embarrassing to witness as a paying customer. The atmosphere was extremely uncomfortable and controlling, and his behavior toward two Black women simply having a conversation in a salon environment felt deeply disrespectful. Rather than creating a welcoming space, he acted personally offended and seemed determined to assert power and intimidate us. It's unfortunate because the stylist herself was talented and professional, but I would never return or recommend this shop because of the owner's behavior. No customer should be treated with that level of disrespect during a service they're paying for.
