I've actually reviewed the endodontist who did this & my previous root canal but this is for the entire office. Except that I feel like I'm driving off the ends of the earth...or just into the wilds of the westbank, the office is fine. It's in a slightly run down early 80s era medical office building near the old Meadowcrest Hospital (now Ochsner Westbank - who knew). But the inside of their suite is all high tech equipment and basic but clean furnishings. I know I'm a nerd but I love seeing my instant xrays on their big computer screens which instantly demonstrate the changes they have made to my tooth. And I love how fast they are. Seriously from numb to done was just about an hour; my regular dentist would have taken 4 hours to do this at her shop. That's why it pays to go to the experts.

Tooth #3 is the 3rd one from the back (well really 2nd if you don't have wisdom teeth) on the right side. Previously having ANY sort of dental work on my back teeth causes my jaw to seize up. Not so with this root canal. The work was fast and good. I even got to view my xrays immediately via their fancy computer system. The one live root left in my tooth was disturbing (so y'know I thought I would share). The extra money to go to a specialist was TOTALLY worth it for the savings in pain.

Last night one of my crowns came off and I had an early flight to the UK today. I arrived at the dentist at 0800 without an appointment, I explained my predicament and they got my tooth recemented with efficiency and excellent dental expertise with plenty of time for me to catch my flight. All the staff and the dentist were beyond friendly and helpful. I hope not to be back soon, but when whenever I need dental care, I'll be back.

The bill was for a return visit for a gum injury due to an improper cleaning. She yelled at my mother and treated her like a criminal over a small bill which was never previously mentioned. She refused to help us out so we called our insurance to confirm the claim. After finding out that it was filed incorrectly with the office, they refused to make any amends and even hung up mid-conversation during a phone call. The bill is not the issue, but the unprofessional and poor patient treatment I received is not worth coming back to.

Here I am, 2 and some years later, I'm about to take these braces off. Devereux is always welcoming and funny, but my main orthodontist was Dr. Nguyen. He was always happy to see me! Actually, the entire staff were always friendly and happy, which is great. They make everything so much easier, and they tell you what they're going to do before they do it. The office is really bright with lots of colors (they have a beach theme). Never had to wait longer than say, 15 minutes. P.S. They have orthobucks! You get some every visit (and for every other thing you do, like keeping your teeth clean or wearing their T shirt) and you get to buy whatever is at the store... or you can throw them in for a drawing for a cruise or currently, the iPad.
