Still looks the same as it did 30 years ago but it has the most PS shirts and plus it has all your class room needs and it's conveniently located on Main Street. Lots of pics of athletes plus they have a nice mural on the side of the building.

The SBS (student bookstore), serves it's purpose as a store for students and tourists. With it's multi floors, has a fairly good price. Overall a great store.

t's a great place to hang out and browse books. What makes bookstores truly valuable is strong…read morerecommendations, and I always find books I want to read here. The only downside is that they can't compete with Amazon's prices, though they do compare well with Barnes & Noble. That's just the reality of running a brick-and-mortar business. Still, it's always worth a visit. The staff is consistently friendly. My only real critique isn't about the store itself, but more about how Amazon's pricing power can make it difficult for small businesses to compete, making this store feel prohibitively exspenive for a college student (especially for one who has free access to the Paterno Library).

My husband can never pass up the change to check out a book store so we stopped in and were greeted by a friendly cashier and quite a large selection of books. Very clean and bright, its a quiet but quaint store that offers best sellers, value books, and a surprising amount of Japanese/high quality notebooks, stationary and pens. I did hear several people asking about what books they carried and the cashier was able to pull books for them or offer let them know when the book was in stock so I imagine they're still getting a feel for what stock to carry. I picked up 2 books from the recommended wall that piqued my interest and look foreword to reading them. Price wise they sell for retail price so on par with the big box stores, so I'd rather support a small business. Its also eerily quiet inside so I'd like some soft background music otherwise I was able to hear every conversation around me. Other than that its a cute small book store in the heart of state college. A nice addition I look forward to visiting on our next trip up

This store carries new current books and magazines, and plenty of publisher overstocks and remainders at 40%-60%-80% & more off, plus 20%-30% off current New York Times paperback & hardcover bestsellers, 15% off all special orders and 10% off all hardcover new releases. They also stock Melissa & Doug items in the back of the store with picture, infant & toddler books. There are $1 books, holiday cards (60% off), calendars (50% off), $1 box kits, and special items too I spend a good amount of time at Bradley's Book Outlet browsing through the various travel books (some a few years old) which were all deeply discounted. Thisvstore has a decent variety of US travel & historic books, plus Europe, Middle East, and Mexico travel guides on the shelves. They also stock discounted "For Dummies" books too. I picked up a few travel journal books for light reading, which were less than $10 each. I make occasional visits to this Bradley's Books and their other locations (Pittsburgh area) to browse the changing selection of discounted books. You'll never know what you'll find here!

I'm giving this place a 5 star because the prices of books are relatively cheap!! From 3.99 to 12.00 for these massive history books also from a variety of history and time periods. Ancient, WW2, American, European, and some notable figures, etc etc (I love history). I'm sure the other books also have great deals! Need a book? This is the place.

Despite what other reviewers have said, staff has always been friendly and helpful to me. They also do a great job of keeping their store well-stocked with new and interesting books and products. Prices are probably more than you'd spend at Amazon or Walmart... but any bibliophile will agree that having the ability to hold (and smell) a physical book will always be preferable to online convenience. The only two complaints I really have are that their wooden chairs are extremely uncomfortable... and the store tends to be overly warm & stuffy in the summer months. That said... I will continue to be a frequent patron of this store, as long as it's around!

This is one…read morewe've been to several times over the years and seen it change from a mostly comic store to one offering board games, manga, graphic novels and everything in between. On our most recent trip we saw a game of magic going on in the back where the older comics used to be stored so it looks like they've expanded to card games as well. We did see several boxes of the new Disney card game Lorcana as well at the register. Left side of the store houses the card meet ups and a decent selection of manga, though the volumes are mismatched and best to help fill in gaps in your collection. Right side has more recent comics and dice games. As another review said I wish they'd add & Games to be Comics & Games since they do have an expanded board game section now. Feels like they're missing out on some key business. Talked with the cashier who said they've stopped stocking back issues and mostly just fill their monthly orders for regulars, only ordering an extra copy here and there. Husband was looking for a few recent back issues but was told if it wasn't on the shelf, they were sold out. They stopped extra ordering/stocking due to COVID and decrease in foot traffic. We did end up purchasing a hard cover of Peach Momoko's work and Marvel Cats book though. Cashier was very knowledgeable but didn't like to make eye contact with us, always looking around or sitting back watching his computer while we asked about several issues they didn't have. Just seemed uninterested if you weren't a regular so that was a bit of a turn off. Meanwhile he was super friendly and helpful to the man and son before us so they must frequent the shop on a regular basis. Location wise its easy to miss. On the side of dunkin donuts on Frasier St, its on the lower level of dunkin, accessible by staircase only. Not sure about handicap options, but it might be hard to access if you are physically disabled.
