I feel like I can be a tough critic about professional makeup and really wanted to feel confident on the big day. From our trial to the wedding, Alicia did an amazing job of making me feel beautiful and as natural as possible. I was impressed with all the small things she took notes on after our trial and applied for the wedding day months later. It felt like she was anticipating my every need and the final product turned out amazing. Same with hair! I brought inspiration of a hair style I've never done before to our trial and she knocked it out of the park. I made her job more difficult by adding extensions that made my hair thicker and longer post trial and Alicia didn't bat an eye. I texted her about a month before the wedding with concerns about the extensions holding a curl, and Alicia made me feel so reassured and offered some advice to prep for the wedding day. I trust her so much and was so grateful not only for her snd her team's talent but also the support and hype throughout the whole process. I didn't really know what I wanted, but Katja totally whipped my hair into shape. She added new layers since my hair is relatively thick and was able to do a lot--without cutting "a lot" off. Even better, she was really considerate of the fact that I'm extremely laid-back (haha, lazy?) with my hair. She told me she purposely cut it in a way so it would look good even as it continued to grow. That way, I wouldn't need to get it touched up every couple months. So...I just go back when those dead ends start showing up again. Easy-peasey. I'm so glad I saw her! Katja's got a great down-to-earth vibe and I've already recommended her a couple of my friends: One who has thick, curly hair, and another who's trying to figure out how to rock a pixie cut. They both loved her! It's obvious that Katja is super knowledgeable about her craft because even though my friends have completely different styles from me, they really liked her too! I also appreciate that her salon location is convenient to get to. Because it's right off Keystone and 116th, I think anyone on the northside or down in Broad Ripple would feel like it's an easy commute. Missed the layers and bypassed the bangs yet charged me for a hair cut. And I spent more than I have ever spent $181 after a $25 coupon.
