The photos are extremely misleading. The exterior looks passable, but once you're inside the room, it's a completely different experience. It's obvious this hotel started renovations and then gave up halfway. Everything feels patched together in a rushed, careless way. The toilet and shower both have significant rust issues, which is unacceptable. The room was so humid that the floors were actually wet--everything felt damp, including bedding and now our clothes. The kitchenette is essentially useless. Yes, there's a fridge, microwave, and cooktop, but there are zero supplies. No pans. No utensils. No plates. Not even a fork or knife. Calling it a kitchenette is generous at best. We requested extra towels and had to ask two additional times before they were given. On day two, our door broke and we were locked out of our room--twice--until a manager could let us in while waiting for maintenance. That's not just inconvenient, it's a basic security issue. The overall vibe is grey, drab, and depressing. The bed was comfortable, which is the only positive thing I can say. An extra blanket would have been appreciated--it is Florida, but it's still winter. To top it off, when I asked a staff member where to put our trash (since there is no housekeeping service), he was rude and dismissive. This place feels neglected, poorly managed, and nowhere near the experience the photos suggest. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere. Could Not Sleep. Could Not Work. Holes in the Mattress. When I checked in, I was not welcomed at all. I wasn't told where my room was located and wasn't given the Wi-Fi password. It was late, and when I finally found my room, it was dirty, the phone did not work, there was no TV remote, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. I could not sleep at all. The next day, I worked from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Despite my schedule, I stopped at the front desk to report the issues. June told me that all the beds were the same and offered another room next door (Room 269), which reeked of smoke--even though it was labeled non-smoking--so I declined. She did bring a TV remote. She also stated that none of the phones in the hotel were working, though I later discovered there wasn't even a phone line in the room. Because I was told all beds were the same, I did not pursue the issue further. That was a mistake. The bed caused severe back pain, and by the next morning I was limping. During my stay, a man with a pressure washer was working outside my door, and water was coming into the room. There was a strong smell of paint fumes, and a maintenance worker entered my room without knocking or being called, which was completely unacceptable. When I checked out, I stripped the bed and discovered holes in the mattress. I immediately brought this to housekeeping's attention, and they blamed my pugs. I then informed the front desk again. The staff member told me I should have reported it immediately, did not apologize, offered no resolution, and said I was "repeating myself." After not being heard the first time and sleeping in pain, of course I repeated myself. While still on the property, I contacted corporate, but they offered little to no resolution. Neither corporate nor the hotel manager apologized. Instead, they blamed me for not communicating--despite the fact that I did report the issue and was told this was the condition of all beds. I was there for work and did not have time to argue with a hotel that dismissed my concerns. I would never stay at this location again. I could not sleep, I could not work, and the room was completely unacceptable for $118 a night. This experience has made me seriously reconsider ever staying at a Motel 6 again. read more

I thought maybe it was just wiped down- but it was still the same in the morning. There were handprints on everything - closet doors, walls, TOWELS! The mirrors were dirty, fogged and dripping. The walls were dirty. There were black curly hairs on the bed. I have long blond hair and my husband is bald. Grateful the floor wasn't carpeted. UGH. read more

Run. Do NOT go to this hotel. The receptionist Jamara is very professional and courteous, and Justin is an asset to the company as well, but as far as the one female, the really skinny one, she will definitely run you off with her attitude and negative demeanor. I have had the police called on me numerous times, for being late on a payment, but the same female staff member REFUSED to take my payment and told me to wait for the next rep to come in at 11pm. Then they will call the police on you for being late, For the most part, they believe in calling the police on anyone to remove them for minor situations. Also, if you feel like someone is watching you during your stay, it's because they are. Don't bother. read more

The last time I felt this was about an overnight stay it was a drunk tank. You have to BEG every day for clean sheets , towels and toilet paper (only after 6PM). Air conditioning was broken, toilet ran all night, no dressor, no coffee machine. Front office full of people waiting for someone at desk for over an hour. I had to extend for one night and they increased the room price by 59% ( not including the additional taxes). I was told by Justin the Manager that I could go somewhere else if I didn't like it. To be optimistic I will say one good thing about the Coral Springs Motel 6/Studio 6, that is I was able to leave and never return. read more

I made a reservation for one night at the Studio 6 location in Coral Springs, FL (5645 N. University Dr).  The reservation was for the night of December 4, and I'd made this reservation 6 days in advance. I'd driven over 4 hours to get to this hotel, only to be told that my reservation had been cancelled by Studio 6.  The reason given by the clerk at the front desk was that the hotel was already overbooked.  He also said this wasn't the first time he'd seen this happen...where someone's reservation was cancelled, and they weren't notified. The clerk also let me know that there was an art show in town, and all other hotels would be booked. Great, thanks. This is completely unacceptable, and there is no COVID related excuse they can use to justify why my reservation was cancelled AND I wasn't notified. You can be assured that I'll post complaints on GoogleMaps, Yelp and any other forum I can, to let people know that a reservation at this hotel doesn't mean anything read more

DO NOT BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!This place is disgusting. My room was extremely dirty the bed bathroom and chair was filthy. The bathroom had Ajax and some blue liquid in it. I went to the front desk to complain and all they told me is that they have no other rooms available and nothing they can do. My room also had no towels or toilet paper. Had to call front desk three different times for them just to bring stain towels. I check out early because I could sleep comfortable in this room. Checked in and bathroom had no towels or soap in room . Went to front desk got response house cleaning will come and no one that was at 2 ish . Room smelt like mildew . The Reasons Why the Rooms are CHEAP(Booked thru Expedia) Did you know requesting a room for non-smoking could means no SMOKE DETECTOR? 1) No cover for smoke detector. Wires exposed and it lookalike the ends was cut off. (There is a counter top stove in the room. Hmmm, that's weird) Do you plan taking a bath? 2) Don't. tub is dirty (Another viewer took a picture of the tub. It is still dirty in fact the dirt accumulated the tub is now black). Do you intended having privacy? 3 a) There is a mirror behind the door when entering the room. The curtain that covers the window don't completely cover the window so anyone who walks by the window at a certain angle can get a glimpse of what going on in the room from the mirror. I caught it when leaving the room and looked back to notice anyone outside can invade the privacy if they look at the refection from the mirror. I had to pull the curtain and wrap it around the door handle. b) The bathroom door doesn't completely close. (Please don't walk through the doorway after trying to shut the door due to chips of paint will fall in your hair). Do you know a whole in the wall is a design? 4) It has to be because a whole in the wall above the shower curtain as if it suppose to be there. ( No worries only stayed one night took a wipe off due to the tub being filthy). I wonder if they know to pour bleach in the tub. It can take away some of the stains. Hmmm. Minors: a) Coffee package in cups on the table but no coffee maker. b) No trash can anywhere in the room. I requested to get a refund for the room but only receive 10% off the stay. When calling customer experience I was being question if I was lying about the General Manager returning my call ( she left a voice message at 8:30 pm on a Sunday night) instead of understanding the reason for the refund. The Supervisor of customer experience directed me back calling Studio 6 for the complete refund after sharing no one answer the phone. I'm not going to keep calling but I will write a review. Keep the money to fix the fire detectors that's my donation. Stay safe. read more

I have a personal tragedy that lead me to find short term housing. Because I lived in Parkland/Coral Springs I needed to find quick housing. I came across Studio 6 located at 5645 N University, Coral Springs FL. From the time I encountered the folks at the front desk to the housekeeping staff, I have been treated with respect and professionalism everyday! Cordial service! Each room is impeccably clean and very comfortable. Its difficult to recall anything negative about my stay. Its very easy to say that I was treated by all team members with kindness. I have noted that the staff has extended themselves helping others enjoy their stay. I witness compassion and integrity on a daily basis. I cant say enough about the staff. "Professional Service". My family and I lived here for 2 long years after losing our home to a fire. First problem was finding out that we were robbed of thousands of dollars by the first set of managers with no recourse. Now the new management comes in namely Tyler and Deondre. Now you never see Tyler but if you see Deondre and even look at him wrong you're being thrown out! Ask for an extra hour to go to the bank to pay "GET OUT"! Ask for a room with a working air conditioner "GET OUT" In our case ask why we're being charged more than everyone else "GET OUT!" In the short time he has been the Deondre has thrown out 3/4 of all long time residents. The kicker being WE ARE ALL WHITE PEOPLE! Written by my husband because I was so shooken up by this incident: On Monday September 18, my wife was scheduled to stay at the location in Coral Springs. She booked her reservation for two nights through google but when she arrived, the room was for smoking, and due to her health issues, she cannot stay in a room where smoking is allowed. When she communicated her concerns to the host, the first host was initially understanding of her situation and promised to resolve the situation however some time passed and my wife wanted to check on the status. When she contacted the front desk, a different clerk answered and was considerably more hostile and aggressive. She blamed my wife for reserving a room as a smoking room. My wife calmly responded that she reserved the room through google but didn't see any notification that it was smoking. She did concede that it could have been her fault though and understood that with people being forced out of their homes due to the hurricane, she understood the added stress but politely requested some action be taken, as breathing was difficult for her in the room. At this point, this second woman asked my wife how long she had been in the room. My wife told her it had been ten minutes. "Well that's ten minutes too long," was the terse response. The conversation quickly degraded after that and she continued to blame my wife and was adamant that it's clearly not her problem. So my wife resigned to the fact that not only is she going to have to find a new place to stay, but she's also being told that they will not refund her money. Which is absurd to say the least. But it gets better. As my wife is gathering her luggage to leave and get to her new hotel (while on the phone with them), this same clerk who was unnecessarily rude and demanding is now outside the room looking in the window, which aside from being a blatant invasion of personal privacy and rude to boot, but coupled with her body language was an overtly threatening act. She then proceeds to stand right outside the hotel room's door listening in. So now, in addition to being denied any help, and any refund, she's being bullied to leave. Common decency aside, As a professional in the hospitality industry, this is unacceptable behavior. Misunderstandings aside, it can be argued that the hotel would be unable to refund her money for the day of, but an attempt to refund her money for the second night's stay shouldn't be out of the question. If, in the instance where Corporate policy prevents her from being refunded due to it being too late, that could have been communicated way better. Having your representatives talk to customers in such a manner is unacceptable." We tried to contact Motel 6 corporate and they didn't seem to care. Needed a last minute hotel and they charged me $250 for a two bedroom room that was musty smell and had dirt piles in the corners of the rooms. The night shift lady was nothing but helpful. I was booked to stay here 5/27/23- 5/30/23. I was in Florida on a business trip. I called my company and told them that I couldn't stay here. This place is absolutely disgusting. Aside from the fact that it seems to be a drug den, it's dangerous because it's unsanitary. There are active infestations of bed bugs and roaches and who the hell knows what else. There were no towels or soap. There were no lamps. The only light in there was fluorescent lights. The phone was not connected, so you could not call the "front desk" The front desk is about as big as a gas station fuel attendant booth. You have to speak to the attendant through bullet proof glass. There are no rugs in the room. There is active and visible mold. This place is depressing and needs to be bulldozed. Knock the whole damn place down. A shithole is an understatement. This place is held together by semen and used crack pipes. Do not book this place if you want to live. Avoid at all costs. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The toilet leaked. It smelled like mold when the smell of marajuana wasn't so strong that you couldn't smell anything else. I stayed for eight days while waiting to move into my house. Everyday I was locked out and had to get a new key. I did not get cleaning or towels the entire stay. The place was absolutely disgusting. There were drug deals and prostitution. Meanwhile this property is next to a school. I stayed there because I have two small dogs and there were not many places that take pets. Although the advertisement said dogs stay free, I was told there would be a 10.00 fee each day up to 75.00 as long as I did not have more than two dogs totally 150lbs. That was not what was advertised, but I agreed. My dogs together weigh less than 20lbs, yet I was charged the 75.00 for each dog after I left the property. I wonder if they charged for each gentleman caller I saw come in and out of the rooms all night visiting the ladies. I strongly suggest you look for an alternative place to stay. Wish I could give it negative stars. The room was dirty when I checked in, the front desk staff acted offended when I asked to change the sheets (I didn't ask for the maid to I asked to do it myself). The mattress pad was covered in hair like someone had shaved their head in the room and then it was never cleaned up and there was hair everywhere in the room - it was disgusting. The toilet was also dirty when I checked in. the towels were dirty when they changed the towels out (like they put too many in the wash at once). I called one day because I went out before the office was open to ask if a no smoking sign could be placed outside my room, because someone was smoking out there and the a/c was sucking it in and it causes breathing problems for me. Angel was unhelpful - he said they couldn't stop people from smoking on the premises (I booked a non-smoking room), a few days latter I came back and it was an employee who was outside my room smoking. I seriously would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The Guest Representative there by the name Nikki is the most rude, not friendly, not willing to assist you with your hotel needs. Not only was I disappointed of the lack of customer service she does not present, she doesn't care if your an elder person as well. The rest of the staff is nice and polite, but during my stay I had to avoid her because she's just a mean person that has no respect for others and does whatever she wants. I recall one night while doing laundry, another hotel guest returned pissed off at Nikki because she told the guest that it was not her job to help in the laundry room if clothes were left on the dryer and she gave the lady white clear garbage bags for her to touch someone's else clothes and take them out. It's sad that this hotel gives a job to a person that doesn't take pride in her work. read more
