    More mold

Black mold in shower/tub. Heat/Air unit sounds like a freight train was coming through the room whenever the fan came on. Weather was 60 degrees yet they chose to serve only in outdoor areas and closed off any indoor eating. Not much of resort when you're forced to go off site for meals. Wrote to resort with my concerns but no response after 2 weeks.

Rented a cabana for the day with family and we had a relaxing, beautiful time. Reminded me of how Miami Beach used to feel like. Lunch was good and the piña colada's were perfect. Next time I'm back will def spend a few days here instead of a quick day trip.

Disgusting look bottom right of tub

This pompano beach location is a dump. It started with not getting the room I prepaid for, then as I approached my room, it was left ajar, the tub was not clean and the room looks like it was updated in the Brady Bunch era. "Here's a story..." I would run by the this option and wouldn't even consider this place if I had to do it over. The bartender in the lounge was outstanding, however, I do wish I remembered her name. The restaurant food was average at best, way overpriced bc the steak was gritty and fat. I'm glad I'm leaving soon. I won't ever consider this dump again. STAYYYYY AWAYYYY. You're welcome.

My family and I stayed Labor Day weekend at the resort. The service was excellent at the cabanas. The young woman who helped us both days was always checking in and providing top tier service. I loved the balcony in the room to enjoy the view. I enjoyed the beach chairs and the ocean. The staff in the morning inside for the breakfast bar were also very friendly. We had a great family weekend and plan on doing it again next year

Very pleased with my experience at Beachcomber. Wound up with an oceanfront view that was absolutely spectacular, even though I had only booked "partial oceanfront". Intentionally sought out and chose this resort to relax, and this resort more than accommodates anyone seeking the same. Some of the negative reviews I have read are just baffling - all aspects of my experience were satisfactory or well above. EXTRA high marks for the cafe staff for being absolutely first class with my iced coffee every morning. Main restaurant (Deep) food ranged from fair to good -- would not say it is above average or worth going out of the way for, but perfectly serviceable while staying on the grounds of the resort. I would love to return to this resort another time soon. Highly recommend for your money.

The main pool had plenty of seating, a water slide, and a little kids areas. The rooms were spacious, especially for our large family. We had a two-bedroom unit with a full kitchen, separate living area, and generous bathrooms. The extra square footage made a big difference. There were a couple of minor downsides. Some of the common areas and resort amenities felt a bit dated. There was also an elicit or in the main building that was out of service. Our room did not have a washer and dryer but there was a nearby laundry room. All in all, a solid 4-star resort that delivered on space and pool variety. Great value for a relaxing Florida vacation!

As for the property it's cute, a bit outdated the place can probably use a facelift but overall not bad specially for the time frame we were there. 2 good size pools, both have hot tubs, there's a bar area outside but that was not open during the day seemed to be more later on. Across the way in the front of the resort u have the gym, spa & a nice lake area to check out. Overall this was a nice stay for us.

It is an ocean-view king room. This means the room is on the side of the building but still had a great view of the ocean. You enter valet on the northern side of the building. The valet Matt was quick, friendly and helped with my luggage. Valet is $44 a day. There was a short line at the front desk but there were two employees working and it went quick. The $45 resort fee covers chairs and umbrellas on the beach and two complementary drinks. You can pick from a small list of drinks including beer, g&t and wine. They also offer a morning exercise routine. Monday was yoga by the pool. The room was large with a nice modern design, a small couch and side table and a nice balcony with two chairs and a table. There was a coffee maker and fridge but no microwave. We ordered room service and had breakfast out on the balcony one morning. There were games setup in one of the meeting rooms right outside the pool and free popcorn was offered daily. The pool was large with plenty of chairs but people did save seats early in the morning. I went down at 9am and there were about five seats not claimed and only around eight people at the pool. Everyone else started showing up to their saved chairs around 10am. The pool did get less crowded with fewer children as the day went on. By 3pm there were more open chairs available. The beach is right outside the gate. Along with the chairs and umbrellas there is a sand pit with toys for the kids, a tiki bar and volleyball net. The hotel is very clean with modern decor. It is in a very residential area so there aren't any shops or restaurants around to walk too. Everything is about a mile south near the pier. It was the perfect place for rest and relaxation which is exactly what I was looking for.

Housekeeping staff are super kind, and anything we needed arrived quickly! The negative: Don't waste your money! We paid $400+ per night (amenities included, valet separate) and found out the hotel sells $45/day passes to non-guests. We had an issue with our room, and the hotel could not move us because it was full. We were told we'd get 2 chairs, access to the private beach, and 2 welcome drinks. No chairs, all 4 days we were there (party of 8). The welcome drinks were gin, non-ach or wine... Service was extremely slow, the pool was overcrowded, and the staff was so cranky/rude that everyone seemed to dislike their job. For a hotel marketed as a remodeled, luxury spa retreat, this was disappointing and not what we paid for. The icing on the cake was waiting 30m+ to valet our car due to the influx of people coming and going, oh, and having to bring our own luggage up and down due to no carts. Spoke with Ricardo about our entire stay, and he just stared at my husband, then proceeded to say, "Well, when you go to Disney on a holiday weekend, it's going to be busy." Sir... when I go to Disney, I know it's going to be crowded because it's DISNEY. You're a Marriott selling $400+ rooms a night and over-crowding your hotel, causing your guests to not enjoy the amenities you're claiming to provide, then when we say we are unhappy, you don't even bother trying to work with us; you looked annoyed. I wish we read the comments before staying because it seems to be a recurring theme.

I was sitting very quietly on a chair outside of the office. There was no one in the office. I was minding my own business when a Hispanic man wearing a bandanna came up to me and asked me what I was doing there. I told him that I was just sheltering from the storm. He demanded that I leave. I told him I could not because of the dangerous lightning. At this point, he began yelling at me, then tried to assault me by grabbing and shoving me. I started videoing him coming after me. He grabbed my phone from me. The manager came out and I demanded that the police be called. Once I threatened to call the police, the manager had someone escort that irate staff member away, retrieved my phone, and let me sit quietly and shelter from the storm as I had been doing before being assaulted. If this is any indication of the integrity of the people that either work or manage this hotel, I could not possibly recommend anybody stay here. This situation was completely unnecessary. This was a severe storm, and I was just trying to seek shelter. I was in no way intruding or interfering with anyone or anything. To come after me in an aggressive, physically violent manner is completely unjustified.

I think it stops running around 9pm, but it was always available until sunset. The shuttle has shown up within about 20 minutes each time I've needed it - sometimes within minutes. That sad, this resort left me stranded in Fort Lauderdale for over 12 hours without a room. You get what you get, and that's about it for service. Things are pretty good if you don't have issues. Sadly, this could have been a great experience but these resorts don't have a good escalation path to resolve issues. Things can go really wrong. I had a 7 day certificate in hand and my flight was delayed so it'd be overnight for arrival. I called the day I should have arrived and let them know and I was told no problem. I called with an update around 2 AM to make sure the night staff was aware I was arriving still - and that person could not find my certificate on file with the property. Guess what, if you have it in hand, it does not matter - they must have you on file or you have no place to stay. I flew all night and after a few calls and emails - all by me - they mysteriously have an email with the certificate. I do not know when they received it nor what went wrong. I did not get a call to let me know. It was either email or text and I do not remember which. There was no indication that this was going to get resolved so I had booked another hotel for the night. By the time I arrived at that property, I received the notice that my certificate was at the front desk. I didn't have family with me but this could have been a really bad situation with kids. The people at the desk were friendly, but the upper staff hides behind doors I think. I feel sorry for the people who actually work the desk for the lack of support they receive. The most I received was "I'm sorry that happened to you" and "that happens sometimes." This location does the hard push on upgrading your timeshare. The concierge holds your key hostage and I was too tired to fight. It sounded like they were confused whether I had to go to the seminar thing, but in further discussions it was clear it was tactics they use. They took a deposit for this timeshare seminar which was very odd. If you've been to one of these, then you know how they are. Nice at first - if you stay with the answer no, you are going to get mistreated a bit. This was no different. I was told it was 1 hour. This one didn't have people available to take you at any point you are expected to meet with the next person. I walked out at 90 minutes with someone berating me the harshest that has ever taken place at one of these. They completely lie about how long you have been there so set a timer if you want to be able to respond with concrete times. They gave me a gift card though. Oddly the person next to me was told the system was down and theirs would arrive by next day. I was given a physical card. Very odd interaction. At least the event at check in gave me easy reason to counteract every time they said they had good service. My response "do better if you want me to want to spend vacations here." The grounds are very nice. They do some tiki bar thing in evenings that booms fairly loudly. You will hear it in your room. You have access to other resorts but they were either not worth the effort or were under construction. One does have a bar next to the ocean if that's your thing. Having the free shuttle really had me experiencing the entire area more than I normally would have. It also meant I didn't have to worry about drinking a little more than I normally would away from home. They shuttle held 5 passengers and is open air. I think there is an option of 4 stores to stock up on food and such. The unit looked recently refreshed to me. It was nicely done. I was in a king bed unit with kitchenette and no balcony. It was completely functional and had a giant bathroom compared to the room size which was about the size of a typical motel.

There are a few sections and even though I wanted an ocean view there was no availability and I further saw they have a narrow balcony to only stand in it I noticed the other side of the room which I didn't get did have a balcony which I usually enjoy. It was situated by the gardens so nice view. Only needed to walk across the street to get to the beach which is private so plenty of room. Unfortunately. The beach had alot of black seaweed and the ocean was covered with it. It was pretty hot too. Valet was convenient but a little pricy for what it was. Check-in was fine but the room was a complete disappointment. First, just to note, Wyndham called me a couple nights prior to confirm my stay, including a high floor. They even asked if I preferred a specific type of pillow. I told them firm and the guy said it would be there. Well, I walk into the room which was on the 2nd floor and directly on top of the cement slab roof of their restaurant and wasn't thrilled. Not exactly a high floor. No firm pillow or extra towels either. I do recall being asked to stay on the line for one of those "timeshare" calls, which I declined. Maybe, that's why none of my requests that they confirmed were met. In addition, the rate I was quoted, didn't include the parking, resort fee and tax, which I specifically asked about and was told was included. Anyway, the room was okay for one night. As others mentioned, it didn't feel the cleanest There was a big brown stain on the white comforter on my bed. The blinds were stained. The fridge was dirty. It was one of those rooms, where you kept your socks or shoes on to walk around. The tv kept going out and was impossible to change channels. They say the rooms have balconies, which is deceitful. A mini Juliet balcony at most. Room for one or two to stand wedged in between the glass window and the rail. If you looked past the cement roof, you could see the ocean which was the only redeeming part of the room. Overall, if I was desperate for a room, I'd stay here again, otherwise, I'd definitely stay somewhere else.
