It is hard to define what you can expect to find at The Nest because everything is completely unique and something you've likely never run across. This is a great spot for special gifts for weddings and birthdays as well as simply for those times that you're looking for something completely out of the ordinary. You can expect to find anything from awesome locally-made clothing, to framed pieces, to pottery, to local food and cookware, to jewelry, and even pieces like coins that have been turned into tiny puzzle pieces. Outside of unique gifts, The Nest also features live music as well as local art classes, and once the business grows, you can expect delicious local food and drinks. So support local business and support a place like The Nest. You will be amazed by what you find at the spot. A definite favorite, and a place I will also frequent. It turns out to be one compact, very cool space offering new and collectible goods from a variety of artists and dealers. The tile art was lovely, as was all the original art. But my soft spot is eclectic antiques and retro stuff, and wow, is this perfect for that. Not a massive collection but an impressive one - including a complete fire-engine-red collection of old luggage to die for (I'm a tourist - if you're a local, I left it there for you!). Jewelry, scarves, kid furniture, shoes, ceramics. Nothing overpriced. Short walk from downtown - just over the river and a couple blocks east. I made a nice little afternoon of it, stopping here, then an hour at the Cat Lady Cafe loving up the kitties, then a browse at Fire Arts. Lovely way to spend some hours and only a modest amount of cash. So worth your time!

One of the artists shared this history and much more with us. There are 3 floors to explore and during our visit, some of the artists were in their studios. There was a mixture of paintings, sculptures, pottery and mixed media. A great place to browse art.
