She has been doing my hair since I first met her in her other location, where it was just her. She was great from the first appointment I had. I was so happy to have finally found someone who listened to our expectations and actually gives you what you asked for. She is a true artist and she is passionate about her profession. Jackee ALWAYS exceeds my expectations and always leaves me feeling so pretty. She does highlights for me, cuts my hair and blow dryes. (Sadly, I cannot remember the girls name that cut my hair that day, but I will follow up with her name in a later message) The place is adorable inside and I loved the decor!! I was in town visiting my parents and needed a cut badly before heading out for vacation. My mom raved about the place and they were able to squeeze me in. In my experience, not many people really handle curly hair well. On top of that, I have a ton of it, so I am always very skeptical with anyone doing my hair. I left feeling great, the way you always do after someone has cut and blown your hair dry, but that is not where I discovered how well she did. I then went on vacation and found that my hair was cut so well, I didn't even need to use a hairdryer!!!!! I didn't even know that could happen!!! It was cut so well that the curls and shape dried perfectly on their own!!! Now, two months later, I still am able to dry and brush my hair with ease. Prior to my cut, just brushing out my tangles was a 30 minute process alone and would stress me out! Thank god I don't have to deal with that anymore!! (I would also like to extend a personal apology to the girl who had an appointment after me who waited for so long. I should have notified them to allow for extra time on my hair and she had to wait while my hair was being blown out...sorry girl!!) I just had to give a big thanks to you girls at Studio 207 and let you know I am grateful for time and attention to detail. I am really impressed with what a quality job you did and will certainly be back every time I am in town!! (I live in DC)

1 STAR I honestly…read morewould NOT recommend this nail salon based on my experience. I came here to get my nails done and was unhappy with how they turned out. The shape and overall finish were not what I wanted, and I felt like the nail tech was rushing toward the end of my appointment. I went back the very next day to give them an opportunity to fix the problem. Instead of listening to my concerns and trying to make things right, the lady immediately became defensive and told me I should have said something the day before. I explained that they looked like they were getting ready to close and that I felt rushed, which is why I came back the following day. What bothered me the most was being told that she didn't see anything wrong with my nails. As the paying customer, I don't think someone else gets to decide whether I'm satisfied with the service I paid for. I clearly explained that I wasn't happy with them. Then I was told they would only fix one hand and not the other. At that point, I didn't even want them touching my nails anymore. I told them to just remove the color, and I decided I would pay another salon to fix them instead. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I simply wanted the nails I paid for to look good and for my concerns to be taken seriously. The lack of customer service and the way my concerns were dismissed is the main reason I'm leaving this review. If you're considering coming here, I would personally think twice. If something goes wrong with your nails, based on my experience, don't expect them to be very willing to make it right.
